Yeah I try to choose popular songs but also throw in a few of my favorites that are less popular too lol. I’m also limited to my CDs or whatever is on the radio 🤣

The history of Australia and New Zealand is very close. Before New Zealand became its own country, it was a colony that was administered by New South Wales, so technically, New Zealanders started out as an "Australian colony" but when it came time for the Colonies to become federated states under one government, New Zealand was allowed to decide if they wanted to join the Australian States and become a part of Australia or form their own government and write their destiny. Regardless that we are two countries, Australia and New Zealanders have fought and died beside each other in every war since the Boer War. They are our "Trans Tasman Cousins". As far as language goes; That/Thet, Ate/Et, Best/Bist. Very subtle differences but in parts of NZ, they sound a lot like Australians, so sometimes can even be difficult for Australians to even notice.
Other Aussie slang would include; Flat out like a lizard drinking! (To be very busy) ; Sticks out like a Dunny (toilet) in the Desert (Very noticeable) ; Got Kangaroos in his top Paddock (A bit crazy) ; Struth! (Its truth) ; Crikey! (a version of Christ but without blaspheming) ; out in the Boo-eye (Middle of nowhere) Australians also use Cockney rhyming slang such as "Joe Blake" means Snake. "Bugs Bunny" means Money, "Skyrocket" = Pocket "A dogs eye with dead horse" means A meat pie with sauce.
Bright is beautiful, particularly in Autumn (fall) because of the trees turning golden, red and purple (lot's of Japanese maples). The best part is that it's close to King Valley, a very good, productive wine region with a focus on cold climate wine. You'll need a car for mobility though.
Tonia, I love your reaction, but I have to state that what is really annoying, that you always talk about a country "America". I realized that the self-declared "Americans" are to be reduced to US citizens only. Have anyone of you attended any geography class? There is no country called "America". (Open Goole maps for a proove) What you mean is The United States of (the continent) America. "America" is a continent, not a country! What would ou say, if all people of i.e. France would call their country "Europe". Isn it annoying? How low can a general educational level be in the population, that they do not even differentiate between a country and a continent and not knowing what the countries name is they live in? That explains a lot......
@@bernhardneef7996 we are Americans from America. Yes the full title is United States of America but you will never meet any American who says America isn’t their country. We say America bc it’s shorter for one and we are Americans IN AMERICA! Our continent is NORTH AMERICA. Canada and Mexico are in NORTH AMERICA, but they are NOT IN AMERICA. It’s dumb to try and argue with an American on this you will lose. America is NOT a continent. NORTH AMERICA is. Just like SOUTH AMERICA is.
You brag about being a "speed demon" but that's precisely why we have speed limits. Drivers like you are dangerous to other drivers on the road so we enforce limits. If you ignore them you get punished. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@dcmastermindfirst9418 It makes sense to the countries who call it gas. Because that’s what we call it. We have GAS stations not PETROL stations. I’m not gonna call it a foreign term in my own country. Don’t quite understand why you or anyone else is so damn bothered by what Americans call shit.
There are plenty of shorter walking trails in the Dandenong Ranges. Most trails have distance markers that will help you estimate the time it will take you to walk. But some will involve steep inclines/declines and steps so you should check with people walking the track for more information. You'll find many friendly people there. Orinda is situated in a rain forest, so you can't really go wrong when it comes to seeing interesting scenery.
@@wholiddleolme476 Yeah here I was vlogging my boring life then a psychotic neighbor who I’ve never even met left dead mice on my car for no reason at all 😂
@@ToniaElkins Oh so that's what they were, I couldn't pick it in the video 🙃 Yeah that's a pretty weird thing to do, she obviously knows you have cats and could even be watching your YT videos building a profile about you. This sounds like the stuff of horror movies 😁basically a form of ' terrorism ' I'd be careful of that one, it is America after all🤣🤣
I saw them do this as the encore at end of their series of Last Stand concerts in 1982 when they first split up. I assume this was from one of those. Fantastic. (Edit -actually the encore was probably Goodbye Astrid with Jimmy screaming Goodbye !!! 😂) They have just reformed as a 50th anniversary and released a great new single Youve Got To Move. 👍
@@Paul-uw7us Just because you cry hearing this doesn’t mean every person reacts like you. I’m sure you didn’t have lights and cameras in your face either. But to say we have no heart or soul over this? You don’t even know us like even the slightest bit.
@@theeraphatsunthornwit6266 She wasn’t even holding the pot when the cop threatened to shoot her. The evidence is out. It’s been confirmed. She never went for the pot till she was already on the floor for her life.
Hi, TE. My friend's Italian mother gave him advice... If you want to be happy always do what the woman says. And a note for S - when I was young I could never tell if the women on TV were laughing or crying so nothing strange there. I nearly told you off when I thought you were sticking your nose in some kind of food till I zoomed in on the bottom label and saw they were candles. Silly me. Last thought... maybe the merch should have something to do with Mounds? 🖖
I love Texas roadhouse 😋. Raven is so cute. I have a door camera I got on Amazon. It's called Adoor. It's just uses the home wifi and a solor charger. That neighbor sounds like a b!tch and definitely psycho.
Welcome back 💩 Todays vlog was filmed over multiples days. Lots of stuff happens and it gets crazy! The things I blurred on my car in the video were 2 dead mice inside mouse traps. WE didnt put any mice traps out at all. Also,be sure to stay till the end for my big announcement! 🥰 DISCORD: discord.gg/jjfDqq4g WISHLIST: throne.com/toniaelkins
Minute 14:40 - Exactly, it's a per company thing... If your employer is a good one, he can give you 1 or 2 weeks of paid vacation. In Italy the LAW enforce the employer to give you at 22 days of 100% paid vacation days each year In Austria you get 38 paid vacation days In France you get 31 By law, not because your employer is nice, because it's a law and the employer cannot refuse it And we ALL have UNLIMITED sick days. If your sick, your doctor certify it (and it's free, because we have universal health care) and we stay a home, 100% paid
Minute 11:00 - Don't you see how damaged is that way of reasoning? It's not your fault obviously, it's a systerm fault. I don't go to the doctor to avoid the bills, so if I'm lucky I get better and save my money, but sometimes you don't get better, you get worse and worse up to the point you have to go to ER... and that's the moment tens of thousand dollars of bills rain on your head. This system, that bring you to to this (because again it's not your fault, it's a system fault) is simply mental Think about ambulances. In US, calling ambulance will cost you from 2000$ to 5000$ and it will bring you only the an hospital that is in your insurance network, that can be 30 minutes more far than another that is nearer... In UK it costs 7£ (less than 10$) and it will bring you to the nearest hospital, that can make the difference between life and death.
Minute 7:42 - Yes, we don't like our health care system, because system in France, Germany, Finland, Norway and other European countries seems to work better, so if ask us "Would you like to exchange your system with one of those?" we would probably say YES! But those are universal health care system too But if anyone ask any UK citizen (except maybe the ultrariches) "Would you like to exchange your system with the US system?" the answer is 100% NO, never, no way, not in a million of year. We keep our sometimes long waiting, but if I have to give birth to a child I will do it FOR FREE. If my wife got a cancer (like mine had), I can have her cured for 3 and half an year, with monthly check ups, 3 surgeries, all FOR FREE So, we don't like our system 100%, because we would like a better universal health care system, not a private insurance system No one in UK (or in any other country in Europe) would even immagine to give up the universal health care system, because we think that "health care" is a "foundamental right of any human being" not something you have to pay for
The biggest problem with Americans is the word "socialism". Americans mainly don't know the difference between "Comunism", "Socialism", "Democratic socialism" and "Social democracy", calling all of them "socialism" and spitting on them without even looking at them. There isn't a single country in Europe that can be called "socialist" We can say thet we have primarly Social democracies here Let's take the most clear example: Scandinavia (I'm not from there, I'm Italian, but Scandinavia is the best example) They have the HIGHEST number of very rich private company owners (own 30M+ dollars) per person of the ENTIRE WORLD (more than American riches per person rate), thus a pretty capitalistic free economy based country. But they have a thing that is called "Social net": universal health care, universal free education up the highest level, 4 weeks of 100% paid vacation per year, 30 weeks of 100% paid parental leave, strong unions that keep the minimum wage at high level (more than double than minimal wage in US) and other "social" protection for the weaks You see? It's a clearly capitalistic free economy based country, but has got also benefit and protection for workers and families You can have universal health care, universal free education, workers unions and other "socialistics" good things, without being a "socialistic country"
