Hey, that's awesome! Thanks a ton for subscribing and sharing a bit about your family, its always good to hear stories like these! Vietnam has been a magical experience like no other!
I am Vietnamese 🇻🇳 What are you nationality? Are you love Vietnam ? I hope you have an idea how much you enjoy traveling in Vietnam the most in the world
I have been in Hue and Saigon for while ago, but I have never been there before. It looks very pretty and fun place to hangout. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day my friend 😊👌💙💙💙
Take the crazy 1939 French Train. It's old and quaint. I've done it from HCM to Nha Trang where most of my family lives at least a dozen times. Sleeper rooms are around $12US .
the boats are around 5 dollars includes a pint. the flags are all Cambodian. one i think is Buddhist. the other Angkor and other is national. don't quote me but defiantly all Cambodian
ahhh 590k for 600g of lobster not bad of a deal I'm just too much of a saver since as citizen of VN foods are still cheap even though the prices are going up recently especially for tourists
You assuming there's 1 type of lobster but they have like a dozen different species of lobsters, hence reflecting the prices. in addition to the sources, some grown or caught close to the city, others far away need transports and storing, some restaurants own the lobster farm, other purchased in bulk or small quantities. The street vendors they don't have to pay taxes or rents, they give you the container to take away, people take this and sit and eat at the benches along the beach
Those are U.S. prices..$38.00 is crazy. 600gr is about a LB. Every time you ask about Lobster they Pull a Menu from the "Bottom." Especially for YOU.. You're a tourist and they see you coming from a mile away!!! You have to go to smaller shops like the one you actually ate in. That was a Really Nice Looking Lobster..
It was interesting too see the different prices from different shops. I rarely ever ate lobster in the U.S because of how expensive they are haha. The lobster was very tasty indeed.
When they scam they scam big not 10k, I think it's more of miscommunication and day dreaming from the seller, because Bun Bo Hue always has beef and pork together, rarely beef alone, that's why Vietnamese alway joke why they have pork in Bun Bo Hue, Bo is refering to beef. They call Bun Bo Hue in Central Vietnam and many places, but deep south they make it very clear on the name "Bun Bo Gio Heo" beef noodle pork trotter.
That makes sense. However, the attitude the lady had was not normal. There were 2 separate items on the menu. Does she always daydream ? This is her job. I think she found an opportunity to overcharge and failed
@@EricGoesTo You could be right I'm not there so I don't know. But logically, 10k is not worth it when you have a restaurant, with cheap prices and a printed menu. 1999-2000 if you reported scams police would laugh at you, now every region is competing for tourism so they take scams very serious if it get reported, even the mobile vendors got traced and fined. Nha Trang has lots of Russian and Chinese tourists, and they are known to be rude and scams locals on the news. Vietnamese also not the most polite people, they're won't hold back when they talk and the languages barrier, that's how I thought it was a mistake, but I could be wrong. On the good side you don't need to return to the same place to eat, since there are so many to explore, enjoy your trip.
Yeah with 10 k VND ( 0.4 USD ) you have stolen from the beef noodle soup vendor , you could buy a lollipop for you and your gf. That for sure would make both of you very happy . The gift of your life . Ha Ha
Why would you want to encourage bad behavior. Doesn't matter the amount. The point is to not let people get away with it. Should I have just walked away knowing she overcharged me ?
DO NOT TAKE TUK TUKS!!!!! They will rip you off or try to renegotiate with you half way to your destination "Because of Traffic." and most drivers have been Drinking..
I hope your channel grows.. But I think you need to EAT MORE! Even if it's just cheap street food, I think that's what people are interested in the most. Especially in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand... Just my two cents.. Have a Great Day..
The bus line I took from Saigion stopped individually to drop off people in different parts throughout the journey. Stops were probably less than 5 minutes at a time. With 3 rest stops at 20 minutes. It would not have taken 2 days. What I said is very much accurate. It added on an extra 5-6 hours from my research 😅
@@EricGoesTo What bus company did you take ? I always take Phuong Trang bus from the east bus station in Saigon ( bên xe miên tây ) to Nha Trang . It stops only at two rest areas for lunch ( 45 min ) and for washroom ( 10 min ) and no other stops to drop off or pick-up any passenger along the way . At the NT bus station there is a free shuttle service taking the passengers who need to be dropped at their hotels or houses . " Stopping 20 times throughout the journey", I never heard or experienced it . I am wondering if it's really true .
The bus company is called hanh cafe. It's a sleeper bus. It stopped at different towns/ parts of town/ points of town to pick up and or drop off people/food and bathroom breaks. I even saw people talking to the employee to see if they could be dropped off at a certain location along the route. (Mainly vietnamese people)
You said you were SHOCKED in Saigon Chinatown . Did you mean you disliked it ? It was not a pagoda in construction you saw , but a Catholic church . Don't worry you were not the first foreigner visiting that market . Many other Western tourists and youtubers have already come here and the vendors are already very familiar with their presence . BTW are you half Asian or Latinos ?
Im not a fan of overpriced restaurants, At minimum maybe for a beer if there isn't another option. I always try to look for the cheaper restaurants. I find that these random restaurants aren't as good anyway. I like more authentic food. At least, this has been my experience
In my experience, it's one thing for prices to be slightly more near the beach , and that's fine. HOWEVER, it's also another thing to completely overcharge tourists, and I've seen both.
If you are still in Saigon, tomorrow, May 31, go to Saigon River Park to see the opening ceremony of the river festival. This program does not sell tickets. Ho Chi Minh City River Festival 2nd year. 2024 will open on May 31, with a series of nearly 20 activities and a series of tourism stimulus programs lasting until June 9, 2024.
