I was curious. The Deck list in the Link is different then the one you're talking about in the video. Are those the changes you propose or just an incorrect entry? Either way i loved the video!
It may be a live deck link, so as I make changes it might keep updating. I’m still trying some stuff for it too. Lots of small adjustments you can make for your local meta. :)
Have you tested the Valiant Assault Ship in this deck? It gives you the space Saboteur you like from Unlicensed Headhunter, but without the Bounty. Plus, since you're occasionally defeating resources with Lando, you'll frequently get the +2/+0
I've been playing a Red Lando deck the last few weeks at my FLGS and really enjoying it. Congrats on pulling the showcase! I considered the Unlicensed Headhunter or Pirated Starfighter, but decided to try out the Mercenary Gunship. What are your thoughts on it?
Gunship is great too! Each have their downsides. Headhunter has saboteur as well which is nice for going through sentinels or an early 7th fleet trade. Gunship just has to watch out for the 4 resource steal.
Just beat a Sabine player with this where I didn't SB and I expect they did, it was fun! Best play was cloud rider no ambush --> ma klounkie to finish a unit and return cloud rider to my hand --> play cloud rider to defeat their other unit
This was a fun exploration! I'd like to give these capture events/upgrades a shot in my Boba green sometime, it would be fun to catch people by surprise and these cards offer some enjoyable passages of play.
I enjoyed the video since it provided a fresh prospective on how boba was being built. I just wanted to comment on the tournament promos and why they probably chose the cards that they did. From my understanding, FFG was playtesting with multiple sets available from the beginning. And the rumor with this comming set is that deckbuilding will change significantly. We can already see it with the cards having been revealed that single target removal will not be as good as it once was. For example, power of the darkside is likely not going to see any play after set 3 releases. So with single target removal not being as prevalent that makes capture stronger, since multiple cards (whether it be units or a combo of events/units) need to be spent to get your card back. This means legal authority becomes stronger as well since it pushes a unit into an awkward breakpoint or out of range of some (think outside of takedown range, not being in range of fell the dragon since maybe its a 4 power unit, out of open fire range., etc.) Not sure if they have mentioned how capturing tokens work but it will also be stronger there since you can deny an opponent coordinate/exploit without dmging your own unit. Not sure about dr. evazan. Feels like a high risk high reward card Overall thoughts: Love the art on both cards. But definitely think the champion card should have been a Legendary i.e. Maul or Snoke. Maybe they are attempting to highlight stuff that isnt as obvious
I recently built a jabba deck and shoved some capture in there, it also runs unrefusable offer so that when you capture it, you get to play it out and then it gets defeated so you’ve removed their card on top of some extra value. Think of it like a better “altering the deal” Not that jabba is good but I discovered that combo is decent
I think capture is better than people in general seem to think. It’s probably not worth it if you have actual removal at your disposal. But if timed right, it can have a major impact on your opponent’s tempo. You capture something that is ready and if timed right they can’t defeat the guarding unit that round. Next round they use resources to deal with it (probably wasn’t their plan) and then they get the unit back. But it’s exhausted and has dropped any upgrades it might have had. I particularly like discerning veteran because it’s a body. And since it’s a bounty hunter you can find it with commission.
Yeah I think it’s better than people give it credit for as well, I just think people see the “risk” of the opponent getting the card back and they are too scared of that to try the cards out.
Most problem I have with capture is it's either restiction (like cost from persuit - I need a unit that cost the same as opponents , so when we play on curve it means i did nothing to stop him play) or it's attached to really bad body (Veteran) or have a wierd other restriction (Ephant Mon) . I do not have problem with capture per se. I have a problem how overvalued it's comparing to the effect.
Played Rey a bunch today on Karabast. Couple things: Distant Patroller is just plain garbage. Having shields on space units when your opponent just gives up on space and goes to overwhelm you on the ground is not that useful. Sure, sometimes you get that effect off on Luke or Obi, but it felt hard to justify. Razor Crest / Gauntlet. You are playing 2 upgrades... In five games I saw the saber once. I'd probably go to 3 and add 1 or 2 more upgrades you can work with. The saber was good, though. I want it every turn I flip into Rey + some other 2 or 3 coster worth playing that turn to get ahead on board. Bendu is so weird. I think I'd rather have Obi most of the time. I don't mind this card, he's just... weird and awkward. No immediate board impact is not great, though. I was thinking Sugi would be good in this deck esp. if you add a few more upgrades. Go to 3 Kanan, he's good. Everything else seemed about right, although I constantly felt behind the curve. The thing this deck is doing well right now is it's space. Most decks are skimping on space units, so you can easily take control of space with the 14 you have here and start bashing base. They have to play catch-up and your restore can easily help you race. I like the idea. Would like to see a refined version after taking it through the gauntlet of Sabine/Boba/Han2/etc. I'm not sure how this deck beats Han2 right now.
I love this analysis! Thank you! I can see all the points you’ve made. Sugi isn’t a sentinel unless the opponent is upgraded, but a 4/6 early enough might be fine too. I want Bendu to be good enough 😭 haha
Did this when venom varient bundle dropped and I had 5 out of 12 I got complete and felt buyer's remorse bro altho it feelsnice to drop the venom lollipop emote

An awesome thing with quarry ive found is grabbing falcon, ive done this in villiany out of aspect lol, wasnt playing boba so felt like i needed a version of firespray
I support this game I do and I left a review on the App Store. Few nitpicks since we are on the topic of how much this game makes ($$$). 1. The music is trash. They should update it with some Marvel themes to make it epic. Or listen to your own. 2. Will it kill them to give us a variety of backgrounds during matches? 3. With the amount of variation of each card…they should really let you choose your own boosters not based on your deck. For example: I love the Wolverine cards but the only way to get boosters is to play him in my deck? And by chance??? I’ve only been on Marvel Snap for about 5 months. I only get the season pass after I pass lvl 50. So far the season pass is the only thing I aim to buy; for $10 is not bad. As far as gold you’re better off getting a 700/1200 card u want rather than a 800 random IMO Honestly if they you choose your boosters this game would be 100X’s better!!
I’m sure it’s still a great deck. In fact I’ve got a list for it in my recent video. Boba green was a really tight list before set 2 though so it’s hard to make changes.
I mean, technically in the grand scheme of buying varients in the shop, it is still saving you. You get six varients at 400 less than they usually are in the shop with only seven being 100 more gold than they usually are. Plus you get the random variant with the collectors tokens in the process. It’s a lot of money and you’re better off just playing the game and getting the free varients as they come and selecting the ones that you want buy so that you’re not left with ones you don’t want, but it would be more of a scam if they only offered one or two super rares and the rest were rares. Regardless thank you for clarifying a point that the developers should have made clear with the rotation of the featured rares. The way they do it is very helpful for those who cant buy the featured varients all at once, but very misleading to those who can.
