I’m 22 and working in conveyancing at a law firm and u am considering moving to become an estate agent. What worries me is that the job isn’t all that stable. I own a house at the moment so need to ensure I am earning enough for that. Any advice for this?
Most UK Estate agents are salaried with a very small commission. Usually 10% of the average commission of 2%. There are commission only agents top though for the same big companies that operate in the US. The commission is usually 50-80% of 1.5%. Plus a few German and UK companies. I was hoping to do it myself but probably won't be able to for now

Hi I’m going into my second year at college this year. Changing course and was wondering if you recommend any course that would help me to get into an estate agent once I’m 18. I’ve applied for health and social care (not related to estate agent but something to do until I’m 18.) would you more recommend business studies or would it not matter? I would hopefully have a level 2 in the course I choose by next year.

Hi Chris. I'm wanting to get involved with estate agents as a career. I, myself am a landlord and have been letting out properties for around 10 years. That's me marketing, showing ect by myself so I've got a decent amount of experience. Since I haven't done it as a career everyone I go for an interview they choose someone with experience in estate agency within the workplace and I get declined only for that reason. Have you got any tips for me?
Hi Chris, I have just watched your video. I have an interview tomorrow for a sales negotiator role! Very excited but a bit nervous. I had an admin job 10 plus years ago in an estate agents so I do have abit of an advantage and I am doing lots of prep work. Thanks for the message. Good luck with the interview. The best bit of advice that I could give at this stage is to prepare properly. Find out about the company, this history of the brand, the ethos. Look at how many properties they have on their books, study the quality of their listings. Obviously ask for things like education, training and career prospects. You can never be too prepared, I’m always impressed when someone comes to interview and they’ve taken the time to learn about the company. Good luck
@@chrishamill5746 I wrote some brief facts about the business and wrote my interview questions and answers. Read them over and over and was quite surprised at how relaxed it was. I didnt get asked any questions was more general chat about the role and my current job. I find out Friday anyway 🤞🤞🤞 Thankyou for the advice 🙂
Hi Chris, good video, lots of helpful tips. I was wandering, realistically what are the chances of someone with mobility issues and also who is very short for a man getting hired as an estate agent with no experience but a genuine desire and energy for the job?
