It really depends on your interests. Dominican Republic has many landscapes for different interests. I'll need to know your interests to give suggestions
Great content guys and awesome points. The USA I loved is not the same USA anymore. Seems like most of us are just breaking our backs paycheck to paycheck and getting taxed to death. Never in my wildest dream have I thought making g the DR our permanent home. Your videos make our decision to jump easier and more tempting. Kudos again for what you are doing. 🙏
I love the DR, I’m moving as soon as I can! The culture, the people, the weather, feels like home. Some folks can’t see beyond their own understanding.
My mother is from Villa Jaragua and I was born here. Every summer my mother sent me to stay with the family and all I can remember is how much peace I had and how happy I felt. As a Dominican American and I am so tired of having to live to work instead of working to live. There are so many reasons beside that but as a mother having my children in a warmer culture near family and away from all the chaos and none sense here in the states. Religion is another driving factor. I'm ready to get back to basics. I am not waiting to be over 60 and retire to make the change. I want peace and quality of life now.
That is not the reality for the Dominicans cause they keep leaving our country. Life is good for some of us, when we have been outside and we come back with savings and a job career, that facilitates things in order to come Back
Nothing is a reality for all people, there will always be a segment of people where it's not their reality no matter what the situation is. This should be understood in general, so this comment is unwarranted. At the end of the day there are many Dominicans that are doing well for themselves that never left the island and there are many who have left and came back and doing well for themselves. Always focusing on the group that's not doing well does nothing for our people or country. Have a great day.
Omg when you said that everybody wants to play you the Dominican Republic Greatist Hits, I almost choked on my tea. Hilarious. Great video guys. DR just gives you a better and fuller life. It's worth a try even for short term.
Norberis how are you ? I finally made the mover and moved to DR on July 5, best feeling every I feel so happy… 🩷 I have been able to make an income in dollars here and Is just amazing .. thank for the inspiration ❤️
I moved here in the Dominican Republic, after 60 years of living in America, I finally came back home. I live in veragua that's near cabarette and I am in peace OK. The light goes out every 5 minutes, but come back in 5 minutes. You know, the man says he's gonna come and fix the washing machine Tuesday, he comes Saturday, you know, stuff like that is slow and loud and music and Sancocho and all that stuff. All my stuff play people playing Domino's late at night and the motorcycles. My god with the motorcycles but at the end of the day I don't regret it. I'm glad I'm here. I like the noise I like the Domino's. I like the music all over the blocks. I thought the first night that I came here. I'm not gonna be able to sleep this ridiculous. It was a Tuesday. Don't people work? I had the best night's sleep ever. I am here I'm home.
I started following you and James' channel because I had already been there several times and had already made my decision after visiting a few countries...... James being from the south was just a bonus.......😅
Hummmm......Land of the free? Let's see....🤔 Everything that I purchase is taxed on money that I earned that was already taxed before I got it.... When I finish paying for my home, If I fail to continue paying taxes on it the government will take it from me. When I retire, I can cash out my 401k retirement savings that I've invested in for over 20 years......but guess what?......They tax that too.....should I go on? Your life is never paid up here.
The outdoor in DR is just something different. The “La chercha y el Coro” and just the people, your neighbors are very different than here in US. If you are able to afford it comfortably it’s much better living in DR.
Thank you so much for your advice, we visited there a while ago and the beaches were beautiful but the people were more beautiful. We plan to visit Las matas d Farfán. Do you guys know about that area? Thx🙏🏼
@@PolloVEVO FOLLOW THROU N MAKE YOUR MOVE SHHHHH, LET YOUR ACTIONS SPECK N MOUTH THE LEAST STFU N SHOW SELF AS OUTSIDE OF SELF HAS NO TRUE MERIT WHEN U TRULY VIEW N REVIEW, ITS ALL ABOUT WHAT U DO FOR YOU TO GET EVERY ESSENCE OF YOU SHHHHHHH MOVE
“Bills are due on the 1st” great quotable. DR is a beautiful country and the sense of peace that I feel when I am there is priceless. I would encourage anyone who is planning to make the move permanently to DR or any foreign country, please have a solid financial plan in place because life happens and plans can change quickly; there is no rush. People should understand the DR banking system, learn about existing immigration rules and the categories that they may or may not qualify for. At the end of the day even if we obtain residency and then citizenship, we will always be guest in DR and should conduct ourselves accordingly so we are not asked to leave. I look forward to the day when my family and I will live in DR permanently. America has changed a lot in recent years, but I will always be grateful for the opportunities it has and continues to afford me.
I'm constantly traveling in the US as I work and I catch a lot of people attention when they hear me speaking Spanish as a black. Mainly others where Spanish is their first language. I've met some people that wants to go back to their country. There was a Dominican Uber driver in Philly. When he found I was in DR. He told me that once his kids graduated high school him and his wife are preparing to go by to DR. So far I haven't ran across anyone that has tried to shame. The people who I so call my friends are doing the same thing. Another great video y'all. 👍🏼👍🏼
Great video. Hearing your experience has really given me the confidence boost I needed. My wife is from the Dominican Republic, and we've been planning to making the move this year. We travel there regularly. It's encouraging to see someone enjoying life there so much. Thank you for sharing.
