It is the same any place you go. That is why it is better for somebody to go an experience a place , maybe renting temporarily before moving. There is a lo t of beautiful thing to see in DR, but there is inconvenience that you have to put up with. It can be traffic, it can be the culture.

It's great to have 2 perspectives...there are pros and cons..same as anywhere but it is beautiful and wonderful to visit .every trip I've done different things. Ate alot...and visited as many beaches and landmarks as I could ...it's way different living there ..I'm sure...I've been going since 2019 and each time it's something new...❤and I love and soak in every experience each time...

Great topic as always! You guys are meant for RU-vid so anything that you discuss will be well received! Dominican Republic 🇩🇴 isn’t for everyone just like the states or London or Canada may not be for you . But a visit won’t give you the true lifestyle, I think a month or two will let you through the door of how Dominicans operate in their beautiful country, hate it or love it!!!

That's a great analogy you made between eating at a restaurant and eating at a Buffet...When vacationing there I'm trying to fit in as much as possible in the time i am there..Living there you can definitely space and take your time and not rush.. I definitely believe you can stretch the dollar futher when living there as opposed to vacationing.

Great analogy between a buffet y a restaurant. That’s exactly how it is. I still can not rap my head around that US$500 per week shopping bill. I just went in my phone to look at a receipt from Jumbo and it was around 5,900 pesos for one week. This is grocery shopping for two adults y two children. Now if you have aristocratic taste, and a bank account to accommodate that lifestyle, then your going to spend that US$500 a week type of money. Anyone planning to live in the DR needs to spend as little amount of time in tourist areas. Your both correct on this subject/topic. 👍👍👍

Interesting point. Of course when your visiting it's vacation. When your living, it's different. Now your working and living your life. When I visit Puerto Rico, family would ask; are you on vacation or, are you visiting? Facts. When I'm on vacation there with my family I blow through up to $15k in a month😢😢😢. But when I use to live there I could live off $1500- $2000 a month. When you in vacation mode your mindset is very different. Also that $15k is for a family of 4+ all of my family there who roaches off me when I'm there😂😂😂. But it's kool though, I don't mind entertaining them because I know da reality.

It really depends on where you go. In the typical neighborhoods you can get a manicure for $150 pesos, pedicure $250 pesos, plus a $100 peso tip. About $500 pesos a little less than $10
