I see a “special relationship” building there😉 and since it’s all Texas, I’m hedging that Lonestar wants her on board if they can come to terms on it. I’ll come back on this message to see if I’m right. Haha What a great player with great maturity. She belongs.
Can you elaborate or provide more context? I believe he's insanely talented and clearly has been an innovator in the disc golf media landscape. I don't know if all of that translates to running the entire DGPT. However, I would love for you to further explain your statement, maybe you can change my mind.
There should be a cut for all DGPT events, while allowing a handful to fight for the cash line. The Cole situation would not have been an issue were a cut made after round 2.
The PDGA rules state that if there is a cut line administered for an event, it must be cutting to the paid spots. Well, paid spots plus ties at least. For instance, you couldn't cut a field from 100 down to 50 but only plan to pay 40. It can get weird though when there is a cut down from 100 down to 40 plus ties and then there could be a 10 way tie for 40th and naturally that means as many as 9 players COULD go home with nothing assuming they aren't still tied for 40th or better after that final day of play.
Emily has a fantastic attitude and perspective! The fact that she is from West Texas explains her fascination with trees and elevation. I share that same fascination.
One thing to consider. -- When KT won all 4 majors last season, we were - surprised. When she has not won any of 2 majors of this season , we are surprised - again. The question is: how so? It is more about us, than about her. We ourselves are creating idols. Which means, we ideolize somebody and we also deideolize the same person. We did not expect, that she is so perfect and we did not expect, that she is not so perfect AS WE THOUGHT. -- It is worth to point out: she has finished 6 out of 8 competitions by over 1000 rated result (both majors under 1000). Last season she had just 4 out of all competitions (3 majors). And, she was sick prior to US-trip and got also health issues coming to US (first major). If I remember correctly she told at first presser (Waco ?), that she hopes her body will endure. Majors require not just focus, but also a fit body, especially in woods and by such a weather conditions. -- . For me, the bad choice KT made, was not having a rest and recovery after first 4 competitions.
For everyone writing that Brodies "take" about counting your average of your best rounds is ludicrous, like he's crazy coming up with that idea, this is how you calculate your handicap in golf. Although it's not the top 15-20 %, but your handicap is calculated as the average of the best 8 rounds of your latest 20 rounds. So golf handicap is more telling you how good you are playing when you play really good, not how you play on average.
And I agree with Brodie that calculating ratings this way instead of an average of both bad and good rounds give you a rating that is more suited to decide which division an am should compete in.
Les Paul is the only person in the National Inventors and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame...Icon in the industry, Les Paul is his signature model and as Simon said a classic played by many greats. Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Slash to name a few.
NO Simon!!! More kids...... more is easier! I have 8 kids! 4 girls and4 boys! I am 64 and have a 16 year old son. He loves disk golf and is playing in Jr Worlds this year!
I love the nervous feeling I get when I am watching someone I am for going for a win! I hear what Simon is saying! I want Eagle to win this weekend for sure - it will come down to putting!
😅😅😅 Simon selling more disc's by a long shot than any other player. I don't think MVP is worried about anything. Simon is in Dad mode. Tour life will totally suck for a dad that wants to be with his kids.
He has a family. 2 year old and baby on the way any day now. Of course tour life sucks for him... Doesn't mean he will stop touring. I'm sure he will skip tournaments which he should do. Kids under 5 years old need constant attention from both parents.
@ilikesnow please explain to me why you think someone needs too sound greatful for being a professional? He has worked hard his whole life to be where he is in the sport. He is still on tour. Still making RU-vid videos. Still doing interviews. One of the best ambassadors for the sport. Maybe focus more on yourself and stop worrying about how other people sound.
@@Holycow723 He doesn't NEED to sound any particular way. Just pointing out that he does not sound grateful for something that most hard working folks would love to partake in. There are many tougher jobs than throwing frisbees for millions of dollars, but he makes it sound terrible. And I'm still a huge fan of the guy.
Such a better interview than just a tournament breakdown. I've watched Simon become a US citizen, US driver , husband , father , and a discgolf ICON. His journey has been such a refreshing glimpse into the joy and struggle of touring. His time with Casey White is some of my favorite content.
Yea doing 15 to 20 weeks of work is pretty rough I guess. Getting to spend more time with your family then almost any normal man with a job. His wife is telling him to go play the the tournaments cause that's his freaking job. No woman wants her man loafing around the house. I love Simon but come on man.
You’re aware one of the biggest regrets of very wealthy people is the time they had to sacrifice with their family. It didn’t come across as if he was ungrateful, it came off like he was getting burnt out. And you can’t tell someone how to feel just because they’re making a lot of money.
A Gibson Custom Les Paul is like receiving a stack of 2015 Firebirds for your trophy. It's the Cadillac of all guitars. Hopefully that helps a little Terry. Lol
You mean our podcast? I believe all 502 of our podcast episodes have been live. About 450 of them have started at 9pm Central on Tuesday nights but at the beginning of 2024 we moved the start time to 8pm central on Tuesday nights. Not sure if that's what you're asking but if not, let us know.
