@@flogcsiddrater3251 funny, I bet if it was Macbeth it would have been ok. He celebrated because he knew he sealed the deal, same thing as celebrating after he puts the final putt in, or any other player hitting a big putt.
@@flogcsiddrater3251 have you ever witnessed a competitive sport before? This is standard operating procedure. These guys are competitive and they want to win. There's money on the line. Sponsorships. Personal pride. There's a lot to be excited about. Go ahead and celebrate. Now, if Ricky had done that when Paul's drive went OB.. totally different story. Celebrating your opponent's mistakes is obviously bad sportsmanship. But that's not what happened. Ricky celebrated his own accomplishment, not his opponents defeat. Nothing remotely disrespectful here. People run in long putts all the time, or even run down and clear aces while throwing their arms up and celebrating. And nobody gets their panties in a bunch. Why should it be different to celebrate a clutch drive at the critical moment?
@@MuddyPuttersDG point is, McBeth celebrated after the big putt, and no one took issue. Ricky celebrates after a big drive, and people can’t handle it.
@Jimmy Haines you are so right dude, that is the issue with todays generation, all in their feelings... It is the parents fault, everyone gets a trophy for showing up, lets not keep score in DG anymore and everyone gets first place... LMFO... bunch of cupcakes..
He doesn't have to apologize for his emotions. It was pointed towards Chris. Nate and Terry just needed something to talk about. Any person who thinks it was unsportsmanlike is a fool.
Coming at this later, anyone having a problem with Ricky celebrating a win is wrong. “It’s not just about you and Chris” is what Doss said. Well everyone is playing to WIN. So on the last hole when Ricky knows he WON he has every right to celebrate.
I’m surprised people are taking issue with Ricky celebrating that drive and having emotion. That’s ridiculous. I thought the issue was going to be Ricky stealing Simon’s celebration. Also don’t care, but he does that kind of stuff. Steal’s Paul’s quotes, Simon’s celebrations. That’s a bit weird. Other than that, getting bent out of shape because he was emotional?!?!? Time to lighten up people!
@@jonherskind7919 Its not a big deal, but when he ran around and high-fived everyone like Simon has done three times this year after he won. He also used Paul’s quote shortly after Paul said something about being sick of playing well but not winning. He used the exact quote in an interview shortly after I heard Paul say it. I just thought it was silly, and he should use his own ideas, not others. Other than that, people should lay off him.
Absolutey hilarious and totally embarrassing that this was EVER controversial. All these whiney catered-to children need to get out of their feelings and grow up.
