Thanks to your help, I now have a paperback to go along with my ebook. I will check your other videos and see how I can apply them. Maybe you covered this and I missed it, but the only slip up I had was not knowing the ISBN numbers are different for each format, like ebooks and paperbacks.
Thank you for your tutorial, by far the best youtube explanation of Amazon KDP. Other tutorials on this topic are hosted by people who talk too fast while their cursors whiz crazily all over the screen. Yours is presented in a clear, methodical manner. Great job.
Well done! Thanks for recommending this video. Now... if only I can approximate enough of your techniques to do one myself. It's two months later, but I prefer your cover #2.
Just what I needed. My Sci-Fi book, "World in Exile," is almost ready for publication and my "doing a favor" cover artist bowed out. Gonna check your other tutes about Canva, too. Thanks!
Hey, the fact is: Jesus died for you. He died on the cross for your sins. The Bible says we are saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) and so as humans we all deserve death since we have all sinned. But Jesus took on all of our sins on the cross so that we could have a relationship with the Father. We just have to accept this gift. We don't have to do big things. We trust in what Jesus has done for us and not trust in our own bad lives. Jesus ransomed us. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). The question when you stand before God is whether he knew you. Build a relationship with Jesus. Spend time with him, for example in prayer or reading the Bible. There is power only in the name of Jesus, not in the name of Muhammad, Buddha or Krishna. Jesus changed my life. He proved himself to me. Especially through the healings he did to me and through me on another person. He loves you, give him your life today. You never know when it's too late. Even if you still have doubts, just try this prayer: Jesus, today is the day that I give you my life. I believe that you died on the cross for me and rose again after three days. I am a sinner and need you as a savior. I repent and ask for your loving guidance in my life. In your mighty name, Jesus Christ, amen Convince yourself. You will not regret it. Some people may have misrepresented Jesus to you, but that wasn‘t the real Jesus. If you put your faith in Jesus, you will be saved. If he can change my life, then he can change yours too. I am certain that whatever we suffer in this world is nothing compared to the glory that God will give us (Romans 8:18).
Very helpful. I"m still confounded by figuring out an accurate page count. Is there another way besides Scrivener that you can figure it out? Thanks in advance!! :)
This so helpful!! Thank you!! I'm wondering if it's possible to make the inside cover and back in the same way? I suppose it would be printed double sided then? And if so, would the inside front be on the left hand or right hand side of the next sheet? :)
I was wondering if I could use AI generated artwork that I generated from Canva for a book cover. I'm worried about copyright issues. The cover was generated in Canva from my prompt. It gave me exactly what I was looking for. LOL. It generated around a dozen pics and I fell in love with one of the last ones that came out. LOL
Am confused about which one of the covers to choose, because both of them are awesome. Is it okay to publish a biography on Amazon KDP with a picture from canva? Won't there be copyright issues? I need your take on this

@@bookcoversdiy It really did help. You might mention at some point that the bar code on the template doesn't really exist except to show it's location so people don't check "I have a barcode already" box on KDP. (ask me how I know, haha).
You're welcome! I have a newer version for 2024 with the Canva updates if you'd like to check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BEfdohw2zHI.html
Thanks! I currently have a 3D mockup tutorial but it only shows the front. I'll see about adding an updated one to my list of to-do videos. In the meantime, here's the link to the 3D mockup vid: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JMZPCflZon8.html Enjoy!
Surely i will follow. Also i wanted to ask, can you make a video regarding link between page count and the interior trim size, for example if the page count is 360 then 6×9 interior trim size is okay. But what if page count is different. Like how can we decide interior trim size for different page counts ?

Hi, this is a fantastic video tutorial. I am getting a graphic designer to design the front cover of an A4-sized coloring book for me. What aspect ratio, and physical dimensions (in inches) shall I ask her to produce? After seeing your video, I can insert the title and other text on the front and back cover myself. Thank you in advance.
Sounds great! It would all depend on the exact number of pages, including front and back matter. The best thing to do is to watch the first part of this tutorial again while in the Amazon KDP Cover Calculator and enter all your coloring book specifications. It will then create a template you can provide your graphic designer. Hope that helps!
This is really a great tutorial. It's the No.1 book cover video I've ever seen on you-tube....wow, great teacher with a great video. Keep it up....wish you all the best
Wow, thank you! I have a newer version for 2024 with the Canva updates if you'd like to check it out: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BEfdohw2zHI.html
Thank you so very much. I've never been able to understand/use Canva before and you are an excellent tutor. My book has been written, edited and ready ,but my hesitation has been the ability to actually produce the cover ... your step by step approach is perfect. The only trouble I had was somehow I lost the template (no idea how) so several things I couldn't do, but I'll start a new cover if the one I've made is of no use. Thanks again.
You're very welcome! If the file is lost, try checking your downloads on your computer. If the layer got lost in Canva, you should be able to find the template again in the "Uploads" tab. I hope that helps, and congrats on completing your book!!
Great tutorial! I was really impressed with your overall explanation of the process. I will definitely come back for more videos like this. Thank you!👍
Awww, thank you for the kind words! You are very welcome! I know how confusing and frustrating it can be to create a book cover, so I wanted to help some fellow authors.
