The two designs or even possibly three designs is a good idea. One for ebook. One paperback. And one for hardcover. Each edition would have different covers. That's the way it used to be if I remember it correctly.

They are both great! Thank you for this helpful tutorial and sharing your knowledge. I think the first design is stronger but I know for my personal reading taste I'd probably go for the second cover if I saw it in a shop😄
