Welcome! I'm looking forward to building an online community of friends with this reaction channel, which is primarily centered around the 3 Ls: Living, Learning & Listening. I will be reacting to situations that I encounter in my daily life (that I feel like sharing) as well as what I do in my free time and interacting with my audience of what would be enjoyable to pursue. I will also be giving my honest reactions to suggested music videos that I receive from you. Please be sure to subscribe to my channel if my videos entertain or appeal to you, as well as post your comments and suggestions. Thanks for watching!
Hm.. how naive - they allow me to leave a comment if I write something stupid, but otherwise - they block me. I didn't even know that this comment remained visible to the rest of you... I hope that the one I'm writing now will also be visible to the rest of you. And I don't care what others think about me, but the fact is that I have been blocked on RU-vid for years
Barry was in a lot of pain during the MGM concert. You can see it on his face during the concert, and it’s why he was sweating a lot during it. Maurice wiped his brow for him at one point, which shows love. Maurice said afterwards that Barry was in a lot of pain. And Barry went home to recover. It was supposed to be one night only because of his pain, but Barry wanted to do more so they’d just spaced them so Barry could go home in between concerts and recover. I LOVE this delicious song. It’s one of my favorites. I especially love Barry’s parts. I love the third one with him with a goatee. He also looks really good in the Australia one. Still a hotty.
Barry was born in 47, tins about 3 years later and Andy in 58 almost 12 years after Barry and the Bee Gees were established in 58, Andy's birth year. Something i thought was pretty cool is Andy was a lot like Barry and the 2 of them had identical birthmarks.
1:12 I wrote a song about the boys a few months ago. The Tale of Three Brothers My melody and lyrics for the BEE GEES "A Tale of 3 Brothers" by Gayla Lucas, April 2024" There were three brothers who lived England. Always together Young and strong Their musical spirits saw life as lyrics. And for a penny would sing along with a song. There were three brothers who lived in Sydney On stage together, "Give them a hand!" Harmonies ringing Forever singing T'was the plan T'was the plan T'was the plan... Refrain I hear your sounds in waves of water. I see your words on clouds that flee. And in the moonlight, in rooms of darkness Come to me Come to me Come to me You come to me. I see our mother with all her children Her lovely voice Like notes to me. I see our father On Ellan Vannin Drum by the sea, by the sea. "Carry on, boys, Carry on." I hear your sounds in waves of water. I see your words on clouds that flee. And in the moonlight in rooms of darkness come to me, come to me, Return to London, follow me, and you will see.... There were three brothers Came to Miami to break fames's fever while nights were long. Children and laughter Not ever after... Not the plan, not the plan, Do what we can (A tune for Andy T'was just a lad The loss was heavy Too much for Dad "Carry on Mum, Carry on.") (Refrain change) I hear your sounds in waves of water. I see your words on clouds that flee. And in the moonlight, in times of sorrow come to me, come to me, come to me, and let it be... I hear my brothers Now, from a distance Their lovely voices So sweet to me With Dad, they're sailing to Blue Island From the sea From the sea "Carry on, boy, Carry on, with a song!" There were three brothers Who hailed from England! Their Golden records Alive and strong Musical spirits Saw life as lyrics And for a penny Would sing along With a song. Carry on, carry on With a song!
IMO… they are great lip syncers. Had to learn it early on. A sort of acting skill that great live performers have. I don’t think they liked it as much as singing live, but it was a part of the industry they were in, including making official videos. I read one story about them being included in the opening act lineup for Cuck Berry along with all of the top AU singers of the day when he visited Australia. They didn’t have a band then, and couldn’t afford hotel rooms, so rather smelly if there want a Y or boys club in the different tour stops along the way. Their father would be off stage at the record player and they had one of the other bands pretending to play for them while they lip synced, and one time there was a humiliating scratched record or some sort of malfunction that taught them to be super wary of lip syncing, and to try to write what they could sing live, as much as possible.
The last concert which was in Australia was more “live” if not all of it compared to the other performances. Artists don’t completely “lip sync” anymore because of the negativity surrounding it. However, tracks of background vocals and even low volume lead vocals accompany artists today during their “live” concerts. For certain that is the case with the other performances on this clip. Either way we all know how talented they were with their vocals. These clips are much later in their careers. Falsetto was not quite the same as it was in the 70s & early 80s. But they still sounded great and churned out hits. Have a great week, Chad.
Alone and One are two of my favorites, but I have others, as the Bee Gees are that good. The 3rd performance was Barry's best in my opinion. His voice was strong in that one. Perhaps he was a little younger? Love these guys regardless. Just the best.
Hello, Sir. Since you're into good music. I suggest you to look for "Gigi Vibes". Everyone falls in love with Gigi and her band. Songs like "Fly Me to the Moon", "Better Days", there's even a "How Deep is Your Love" version. They are from phillipines. Their most viewd video has 55 million views. Thanks anyway. Love Bee Gees!!
I love this song so much! It's just so amazing and beautiful!❤😍 It's so cool to see/hear different performances of the same song from the same artist because, while it's, obviously, always basically the same, it's always slightly different. That's how you know it's live. One amazing thing about the Bee Gees' musical talent is that, as amazing as they sound in studio, they always sounded either almost as amazing, just as amazing, or sometimes, even, better live. And, all they ever had to do was stand there and let their voices and all the instruments shine.
He was simply perfect……one of my favorite songs and I believe the best performance of it …..he was looking stage right because a girl had gotten on to the stage …..he was smiling and didn’t miss a beat …..I’m 70 years old and remember when this song first came out and was on the radio ……in those days Robin sang lead in almost every song …..
I was at the MGM show in Vegas. It was magical. Met them the following year at their studio in Miami. This song started an incredible journey for me. Thanks for choosing it! ❤️
Loved it Chad......you took the words right out of my mouth....I was just going to say though I'm sitting here alone I don't feel so alone when I'm sharing virtual space here with all the friends I've made here on your and other similar channels.......
What a treat Chad! A fantastic song, instantly recognisable from the first few bars of the intro. The boys gave their all with each performance and made every one special. Barry's and Robin's vocals were perfection with Maurice bringing in the harmonies and looking like 'sex on legs'. Still Waters is one of my favourite albums and 'Alone' my fav track. What a perfect Sunday Chad, thank you xx
Hey Chad, I appreciate your 4X reactions. There a few quite a few songs you haven't done so hope you can get to some of them too. You did a couple that weren't well known but they got good responses. More obscure but still great. Some of the oldies from Oz are fun. Little band of gold, Sweets for my sweet/Da do ron ron, Please please me (all from bandstand in Oz), Castles in the air, Turn of the Century (The Midnight Special), Lovers and losers, Craise Finton Kirk, Rocky LA, Follow the wind, When do I. Many oldies are short so you could do two-for-ones. 👍
Yes! And I’d like to add “Storm" (1963) and “Like Nobody Else” (1966) to the obscure-but-worth-a-listen list! Oh, and please do "Sir Geoffrey Saved The World” (1967)!
@@Buffbino - The melody of "Sir Geoffrey" is a real ear worm. Hear it and you hum it for hours. A lot of younger folks might have never heard some of these songs. They may not be the well produced gems of their other eras but just darned good pop music. Didn't want to overwhelm poor Chad.
So much to deserve our loyalty and affection!! These fellows are beloved to a degree that is rarely bestowed on entertainers!! Its the whole shebang of personality, charm, genius, talent, creativity, relevance!
Fico esperando os finais de semana com os Bee Gees. Simplesmente adoro!
One of my favorite songs from my favorite album by my favorite group: "Still Waters" -great reaction, Chad! Thanks for featuring this wonderful song...and group!
Another one of my favorites ❤❤❤ the Bee Gees are the most talented and best harmonies of all time!!! They've been my favorite since I was in elementary school.
