Ive seen those buttons in target stores I had no idea they could be in a macys until I found this video because the macys I find commonly have otis series 1
Very strange that the floor buttons are marked as 100s even though the floor indicator has the actual numbers right. The only other instance of this that I saw was of an elevator in Yankee Stadium, where it goes: 000, 100, 200, 250, 300. (Similarly to this one) (Also, this is apparently not a Dover, but a 'Miami Elevator', which reminds me of an old video showing a ThyssenKrupp with Aurora fixtures (I think) that was branded as 'Marshall'.)
Too bad those back panels that are facing out to the atrium don't light up anymore back when this library opened they used to light up in cool colorful patterns while the cars went up and down
This Store Closed Immediately On March 1st With Out Warning / Liquidation Notice. All Remaining Sears Could Follow Suit Like In Canada With Retail Website Also Shut Down So We Gotta Hurry, Everything Must Be Sold
IMHO The reflective flooring & glossy walls was the chef’s-kiss of the old cab. While these would be nice as a new install, given what it replaced, I’m hesitant to say this is an improvement other than lighting.😔
Huh… this does have some quirks to the West Allis Public Library when it comes to having a Westinghouse elevator with no floor indicator. Not when it comes to the weird chime glitch.
just goes to show that all the people who say new Gen2s are crappy are just talking to the contractors/construction team rather than Otis's product line. when builders and places like this shell out the money for beautiful custom cabs and nice overslung gen2/3 equipment, it makes the experience so much better for everyone
