Thank you, much appreciated. They are from ShoreFire Premium Saddlebags. Great product and I did a video on them as well. You can find that one on my home page as well. Ride safe.
I have the exact bar and riser set up pending install. I ordered the guerilla extensions in 9” because I was going use the thrashin 1” riser extensions. Now I’m having second thoughts about using the extensions because I feel like it might be TOO tall. Interested if you think the 9” extensions will be too long and I will have difficulty tucking them and if you think adding the 1” extension as I originally planned would’ve been too tall for you? Thanks!
Thanks for the question. I think it will depend on you and how everything fits with the seat and peg position for you. Mock up the risers with the extensions and see where you land. If good, press on. If too high, take the extensions off. You should be able to fit the 9 inch in there, but I would for sure take the tank off for ease of manipulation of the wires. Enjoy the work and have fun. It’s all about the experience for sure and I’m sure either will look great. Ride safe.
Question , big question- I have a low rider ST 2024, if I put on the SP 4.5 big bore on it without a tune … will it mess my bike up ? I’m only asking because I don’t want to void my warranty, and if something comes up I will put back on my stock exhaust
Thanks for the question. I did a video of my 2022 LRST where I added the big bore, I was in CA, and did not put a tuner on for that reason. Still running stock to this day with no issues. Hope that helps, ride safe.
Thanks for making the video. Informative as all hell for us noobies. 2 months into owning my low rider s and your video helped me figure out everything I needed to bars risers etc. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Competition exhaust might be the best for the Rocket, but it looks like Crap. I don't care how good something performed, or how good it sounds, if it doesn't look good, why bother. I LOOKS LIKE AN AFTERTHOUGHT!!! 😢
@@justkillnbugz Yeah, but am I right or what!?!? I've got the 2022 Triple Black GT, and I'm looking to either catalytic converter delete or full header back exhaust that looks good No one cares about this! If I still had a Crappy Harley, it would be no problem to find a good performance, good looking exhaust.
Thank you. Much appreciated. The bars are Factory 47s 14”. I just used my standard craftsman box end wrench and pushed the lever fwd for access. Enjoy!
I bought all the parts to do the risers and bars, but the abs have me worried. I've never done brakes before. Did you drain the fluid completely from rhe calipers
Thanks for the question. The bleed made me a bit nervous as well, kinda indicated that in the video lol. Yes, I started by draining the master, then drained each of the front calipers. I showed how in the video and the pneumatic pump really helped (there are other cheaper tools if you don't have a compressor). Once done, reverse it and test. I had no error lights and the brakes and ABS worked just fine. If you do run in to an issue with the ABS, you can always run down to the dealer and have them re-bleed them on the machine. Ride safe.
Did you install a tuner after or doesn't need it with this one? Looks great. I got ne from the Arlen Ness site that's called Rough Crafts Finned Air Cleaner that's kinda similar.
Thanks for the question. The wiring is not marked, but pretty much a one only connection. I took photos along the way so I knew what was where and taped the disconnected ones before I pulled anything to help stop confusing myself. Have fun, you’re gonna love it.
Thanks for the question and comments. In my experience, some do, some do not. In cases that do not, I follow the service manual recommendations. Ride safe.
Thanks for the question.in the intro I explain the cleaning and recharging with black oil. Pretty easy and turns out great. Parts are in the description. Ride safe.
Thanks for the question. In the video, I show you how to push the linkage forward to access the rear linkage bolts for removal. Kind of a pain but works. I also call out the tools I use. Hope that helps, ride safe
Lol watch the video not panicking and listened correctly and picked the info out phew thanks for assist, your video is very helpful especially when not bouncing off the ceiling, just got one bolt to sort now, thanks 😁
Honestly I am not sure. I dont have one of those so I could not say. Sorry, may want to poke around a bit more and see if anyone has added that on the LRST with them. Ride safe
I have a 2020 fxbb and I’m 5,10 running a 13 inch fox mono shock in the rear if I run this exact same bar and gauge set up think I’ll be good right now I’m running lucky Dave’s lucky 13 which are 13 inch with same pull back t bar looking to switch to bar and riser
Was trying to get my wife to approve this purchase for my 23.5 CVO Street Glide... she wasn't on board... "It's pink!" Looks much better black! Maybe she'll approve it if I show her your video 😅
Seems that after replacing the forward controls, with Heritage Classic ones, breather is still a problem after the dealer telling me it’ll solve the problem.
On my heritage, I have the stock fwd controls and a Vance & Hines breather. No issues at all and plenty of room. That was the motivation for the LRST upgrade and it works great!
Hey brother, so I’m back with my breather problem and I tend to go with S&S. Now since I have Tab Performance slip ons, they say I need a tuner. Did you put one on and which one? Thanks
I did not. My low rider (2022) did not have any issues. You will see a more balanced band once you do, but the bike does not run lean or have issues as of now.
Hello, just found your channel Thanks Just started looking at bikes How does the floorboard affect the ground clearance for cornering? Looks more comfortable
Thanks for the comments. Yes, it is way more comfortable for me as opposed to the mid controls that shove my knees too high for a comfortable ride. There is reduced clearance for sure compared to the higher mid control placement on the LRST, but the trade off is much better for me. No different than riding a Heritage, you can scrape boards, as with any bike, depending on your ride style and twitch response when it happens ;-).
Interesting take away from the video, but, in CA, it is legal to split lanes. Therefore, most riders run high beams during the day for safety and visibility reasons. Thanks for the comment and ride safe.
@@justkillnbugz sounds very unsafe and very rude. I commuted on the 10 and 405 in LA, split lanes, and never had a problem with someone not seeing me. Add unnecessary to the list, I guess.
Love the seat.TBH, it looks odd with the sissy bar still on. If keeping the sissy bar, either do the stock seat, the Corbin dual seat, or the Corbin gunfighter seat without the sissy bar.
@@justkillnbugz Does the Corbin give you a bit more leg room with the gunfighter? I have their dual touring for my R3R and it definitely gives more room but I wouldn't mind more with my mid-mounted pegs.
@@wavshrdr8452 As you may have experienced, Corbin has a very flexible measuring process that lets you customize your seat. Give them a call and they will walk you through it to maybe accomplish what you are looking for.
What length of cables will my wife need for her 9 1/2 and mid rise from thrashin. If you may know, i know spedo and Throttle is +6 but not sure on clutch and front break
@@justkillnbugz That is often what happens. If you want to sell them, let me know. I was thinking about adding a set to my Rocket 3 R. It is all black, and I didn't want to go all murdered out, as it has too much black already.
Thanks for the questions. I did a video on the exhaust as well and no, I did not tune it as the computer seemed to adjust pretty well and in CA a tune would void my warranty.
I appreciate the feedback. I didn't think the music during the install was too loud, sorry if it was. However, there is a riding portion of the pipes at the end of the video that is pretty clear on how it sounds, along with a previous video on my 2020 (same bike, same pipes, 3 years older) here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UQVNdoOoe_I.html Ride Safe
