I was in Hamburg and saw the Goodbye yellow bick road show! Elton is the best for me! My whole life has to do with him and I thank him and David very much for that!
My only question about these rumors is why hasn't Mike said anything, these types of rumors really don't hold any weight without someone from the band saying something. Idk I guess we have a year to wait and see if it happens. And it wouldn't be right to not have all 5 remaining members thats hard to believe. Mike said in an interview back around the time of 2017 and every member of LP said they wanted to change their sound with every album and worked with different producers. Chester loved One More Light because it had songs he loved and Mike said Chester was heartbroken with the critics and how the fans reacted. LP has billions of fans and they did more for fans than any band I have heard. Think about this, if fans stopped being an LP fan over an album they didn't like what will they do with a new vocalists..... I am still uncomfortable with no Chester, my heart doesn't know either .
Thats a scam stupid Linkin Park never haved talked about it and they never going to do it! Mike and Chaz where brothers and he never would replace him with someone else like a female singer never! Chaz himself don' t wants that he made that clear in a song once,so believe all you want but I don't!
Should and will be inducted eventually, I don't believe when really matters for true artists. Hybrid Theory really carved a pocket of our early 2000's culture that allowed for so much creativity, angst, sorrow, and hope to be spread. I'll never forget stealing my cousin's cd player to listen to it because he was making all kinds of cool AMVs by burning the songs on his CDs XD
Great podcast, guys. I found this footage a few days ago from Chester's Memorial back in 2017 and decided to put it on RU-vid. I think your thoughts on this stuff is interesting. I think it would be cool for LP to come back with a female vocalist. I don't think Chester would mind at all, I really don't. Just my two cents. I was fortunate to have a couple of encounters with Steve back in the day of O’Banions and a couple of other places…he was kind and extremely interesting.
I think her previous bluegrass cover of Stairway to Heaven on the Halos and Horns album is an even better rendition than the version on this album. She really made it her own on that album whereas this one she was trying to keep more of the rock style and it doesn't fit as well.
Been a big fan of Incubus for 25 years, but I just don't get the point of the new album. I agree that if they had come out and said "we're recording to have ownership of the masters" that'd be one thing. However, I think they should have left that album live as is and not re-record, especially since Brandon's vocals are way worse than 23 years ago - that happens as people age and there isn't shame in it. If this was the first time I had ever heard the album, I'd think it's pretty good. But when you compare it to the original, it falls way short.
