Does Judas Priest live up to their legacy as the iconic metal gods that have been influencing bands and leaving fans in awe for over five decades with album number 19, "Invincible Shield"?
Find out what Matt and Zach think in Epic Footnote Productions’ “2 Minutes to Review,” a podcast that’s part album review and part competition. In each episode, both hosts are given two minutes each to review a newly released album or a classic record they’re revisiting. Whoever gives the longest review in under two minutes wins.

I think as I’ve gotten a bit jaded as I’ve gotten older. Yes, this probably the best Priest lp since at LEAST Painkiller and maybe since Defenders . All that said, if this lp had been released back in the mid 80’s, me and my buddies would’ve went apeshit over it! It’s that good! The thing is, it was released in 2024 and not 1984. It’s absolutely the most up to date lp sound wise and the riffs are amazing that they’ve ever done. For ME however, I can’t escape the feelings I used to get back in the day when one of my favorite bands released new stuff. It doesn’t hit the 55 year old me the way it hit the 14 year me. I can honestly say that in the last 15 years at least, there have only been 2 lps that hit me as hard as the music released 40+ years did. Those are Tool fear Innoculum and Metallica Death Magnetic. Don’t get me wrong, there’s been plenty of great great lps released in the last 15 years but, the impact on me wasn’t at the same level. Hope I’ve made sense here.
