Definitely a real shame for sure, but it was fun digging a bit deeper into this game to see if it was really a cash-grab as the memes implied. Guessing between the devs, the company itself and all the marketing + fees for Google Play/iOS, probably quite a bit that goes into running a gacha.
I know tis is an older video and have a slim chance of getting a reply from you but I want to know how you installed Azur lane on your PC because I have tried several different things but it still won't work for me
Is there a setting you need to turn on when playing the game, so it does not crash each time I start a mission. I have redownloaded the game if It's still like this in a week I guse it time to delete the game for good.
Are you running it on PC client or on mobile btw? If not, I'd give the PC version a go instead. Have tried it on emulator and the PC client and seems to be fully functional to my knowledge. There's also a setting that allows you to pre-download some of the cutscenes and whatnot. Also, did the redownload work? My suspicion is it's probably incompatible with some new update on mobile if you had one recently. In that case, PC instead.
Definitely is a lot more out of date compared to a lot of gachas these days. It's in a similar boat to Azur Lane since they're from the early days of 2016 when gacha was just starting to get popular. One thing's for sure is that the character animations and models are being regularly updated so they're definitely doing their best to keep up to date. Still a shame it lacks Live2D though, but it'd be impossible with the sheer number of Servants.
Btw this game doesn’t look that bad if we look to the games that we have already tried. Even tho this is a gacha so same things will happen again and again.
Definitely was very surprised by how well-polished this game was. Might be a simple game when you boil it down, but the entire game had a lot of love put into it by the devs and it shows. Only real caveat was Crunchyroll's involvement, with how notorious they are with shutdowns. :(
yeah coming from the same clowns who shut down the game of Princess Connect Redive so I wouldn't even bother getting any of their games, because how do know if the games they have will shut down this same game anyway?
I just realized what the cheese meme was I thought it was about slapping cheese on her forehead but i was sorely mistaken... Love the artists other works though 😭
Harshness of fgo gacha is heavily overrated. We have 0.8% to get banner 5* per pull, which is more than blue archive for example, where it is around 0.7%. In fact there tons of gacha with worse rate for banner unit. On top of that even old players get around 3 pity worth of crystals per year which is 1000 summons. New player get tons of crystals from story and one time achivements on top of that. As a f2p player who started august last year I do have 15 5* servants, including 3 meta support - Skadi, Koyanskaya and Castoria. In fact during this time there was only one servant I tried to roll for and failed - Oberon. Once again - 100% f2p w/o gssrs.
Good to hear from someone joining the game recently and that you're enjoying the game. Totally agree with the generosity of FGO with its free currency which I didn't manage to cover. It's mountains of Saint Quartz from everything including the story, and they keep piling more bonus one-time rewards for stuff that you've often already finished for every anniversary. Gacha too has gotten a lot more generous in the recent years, especially with the pity system. Definitely had my bouts of luck of course, with 90 free SQ for Merlin or 60 free SQ for Castoria, and many other times I've been spooked. But EX Gacha Luck sadly makes it easy to forget that gacha luck is ultimately relative and many of the older players have had the pain of burning thousands of dollars on a single SSR and sometimes not even getting it before the pity system was implemented. It's a lot better now with the 330 pity, which I am really glad for the newer players who won't have to face this same issue as launch players like myself. Banner unit percentage comparison is pretty interesting to think about. Didn't know FGO had a higher rate up SSR roll chance than BA, and I should really check that out. I usually compare the total SSR rate and the balance it has with pity and generosity of the game since pity allows you to get the banner unit regardless of your luck and SSR spooks are always nice regardless of the rate-up (but of course annoying if you want the specific unit)
@@TheAniknight castoria banner was scary. Spent everything I had on Oberons surprise banner - 500+, then I had to skip playing several weeks before Castoria banner, and then it came earlier than I expected, so I had like 300 effective sq when it was announced, Initial rolls got me some 4* and Odysseus. After that I started appling to farm sq and got Jeanne first, and one day later finally Castoria. On the bright side now i do have np8 Bao np6 Barg and np4 Percival. ps about blue archive - pity is 200 rolls, and most people are saying that it useless to even start rolling if you dont have enough for a pity.
@@amai2307 EX rank clairvoyance is the best, even if NA is behind by 2 years. BA definitely involves heavier planning, and most people save for the limited banners and for Anniversary cause Anniversary is 6% SSR rate.
Thanks :). The 3 of us who were dead were all dying of laughter too throughout, except my recording software messed up so I had to splice what I had with Drak's POV. XD
@@TheAniknight true. But now I need Castoria and Summer Skadi and I can finally focus on units i really want. Pity really should be lower, especially since pity isnt kept across banners and once you get one copy the pity is gone
Very true, they also tend to have really good stories too. On the bright side, you don't have to spend a single cent on BA if you play your cards right (like saving your free currency for the Anniversary event's 6% SSR rate)
Sadly, fanservice is a marketing tactic that works in a lot of cases for the cultured. Especially so for more niche titles like Brown Dust who contend with the mainstream gachas and can just be hard to blame the devs for not making use of it to get some well-needed attention sometimes. Definitely share the same sentiments the longer I've consumed anime-related content, because the fanservice, in Brown Dust 2 in particular, works against its high fantasy RPG charm because of how blatant it is at times. Kinda reminds me of a DXD or To Love Ru era anime which the industry has shifted away from in recent times.
@@Kaij- Definitely. People may deny it, but fanservice sells. Because how else would you get Genshin and Star Rail characters dancing for 30 seconds in an MMD for 100k views?🥲
And this is why I never pre-order 🤣. It DOES look great in the pictures though, and you'd end up with some really nice screenshots of your ship on the horizon. Reckon it's awfulness is mainly from the lack of the fundamental spirit of venturing to unknown islands, and Ubisoft has forgotten that a pirate's exploration of faraway lands in search of treasure and riches is one of the main reasons why you're even sailing in the first place, not solely for the boat. Exact reason why the Black Flag comparison comes up all the time. All because Black Flag minus the assassins would've just fulfilled the full pirate fantasy. There are definitely people out there who wanted just the boat though, which I can respect. But even if you exclude the core boat part, it's still hard to forgive the mediocre story and grind, and the lack of meaningful adventure opportunities in these wasted islands, where all they do is taunt you with how gorgeous they look as Ubisoft laughs at you for not being able to explore them. Absolute wasted potential.
One of the first AAAA game and still sucks, because it’s A game with a 70$ price how nice. At least some of the free gacha games are better than this goofy ahh pirate game.
I probably had more fun playing mainstream gacha game than I did sailing for 20 minutes to yet another hub island to buy blueprints. Because at the very least I wouldn't dread the core gameplay every time I have to do something.
@@TheAniknight indeed man, like you can even finish an anime episode while traveling around. It felts empty too, like you have so many things to do but it’s so unique to have a event in game. Sea of thieves are better compared to this game, with so many things in it SOT crashes this game. Making good graphics doesn’t give you a AAAA game. Ubisoft will never understand this I’m so sure about it.
@@atatam9316 Looks gorgeous and cinematic, but can't even explore the beautiful islands in their fullest so it's just mountains of wasted eye candy and a slog of a grindfest with miles of water everywhere. And I see you too have experienced the Quadruple A as well. Was it the Beta or the 8 hour trial? (hopefully not the full game). Because if it was the 8 hour trial or the full game, I just HAVE to know if the sea monster rumor is at least working now because I can barely find anything on Reddit. Definitely never had a larger disappointment than not being wiped out by a sea monster when I try and embody the spirit of adventure like a real pirate... in a literal pirate game. 🤣
@@TheAniknight I played the trial and deleted in first hour. It’s just disappointment from every aspect, think about it man, you are giving 70$ (I am turk, 70$ dollar is a high payment for our minimum wage) away and you receive a April fools joke. They could just make a story game that has several hours but nah they should make online server game with extra payments in it so you can pay more! How nice great job Ubisoft team! About the monster, I’ve never seen it. I guess it’s like I said that it’s so rare to have any event in this fcking game.
That's the saddest part. Just feels like Ubisoft's gone backwards despite having the bones for a good game. The skull in Skull and Bones is what's left of the mechanics that could've made it fun. 🥲
Have been on BA sub for months for cute and funny content 😭😭 but never seen gameplay of the game, I've been sold on headpats, definitely gonna try it now. I wish I could headpat Nahida as well in Genshin btw You sound so natural and your jokes and memes land very well. Watching Genshin youtubers is such a pain that I never do it, we need more based people like you, who are not afraid of getting cancelled
Definitely enjoyed embracing the sheer power of the memes and the culture in the video. Clickbait and fanservice are pretty commonplace these days, and my goal was being self-aware enough to poke a bit of fun at the game, enjoy the memes and review the game at the same time. I DID have a feeling the fans of BA would truly understand all the little references without me going into detail (which I don't and is totally up to interpretation. The cheese slapped onto Mutsuki's face is in fact, just a piece of cheese if you want it to be).🤣
