Starfield on Launch - A Pre-Fix Budget Gamer Nightmare 

Before you do share your angry comments down below (which I foresee will definitely happen with the Starfield fans), this footage is all from when the game first launched. I love the game as much as you do and it was just sad seeing it perform at a suboptimal level on launch (especially on Nvidia GPUs as a whole). The game runs better now that we've past the release by a couple weeks (with newer DLSS mods and whatnot), so I'm mainly sharing my extremely silly experience of Starfield on launch for entertainment purposes. I initially attempted to review the game, which wasn't quite possible, so I just had to get as much footage as I could to refund it and wait for it to be fixed in the future before trying again. I won't be paying full price for the game unless it's fully fixed. Also, I am fully aware this is a 30 series card and if you think this isn't too bad for a 30 series card, do imagine the pain of a 20 series or 10 series user, which would be far worse. And so the 2nd part of the video is dedicated to the mid-range and budget gamers who tried their best to play the game as well. The 30 series, from experience, is by no means out of date, and is still mainly able to handle the graphics of a lot of the newer Triple A titles out there on medium to high settings at decent framerates. All except for Starfield (and Forspoken), both of which have extreme recommended specs compared to other games that look just as good. The poor performance is not isolated to lower end GPUs and has been seen on 40 series Nvidia cards as well. All of which has been attributed to poor memory usage by the game itself as well as Bethesda working together with AMD for FSR, hence the lack of DLSS on launch. If the game runs poorly even after this memory issue is sorted on Bethesda's end, it's definitely a hardware limitation and they truly do have the right to tell players to upgrade their PC. But until then, the game should rightfully take some of the blame. Remnant 2 had a performance patch that I was not aware of either post-launch, so that's a bit of an oversight on my part. It runs good now though.

if modder can improve the game after 1 day of launch. they can't say other reason or just upgrade your pc BS they just don't optimize the game. fast and simple answer.

I'm on 3060 and it runs fine... I only got lag spikes when it was saved on a HDD. Switching to an SSD and it runs fine

Once you realize the ending, and the expectation for the player because of the ending, you will see that nothing you do matters. collecting items, modifying weapons, building ships, and outposts are completely pointless in the grand scheme of the game itself. It's the anti-Bethesda formula that betrays the player. when you get to the end you will truly feel as though the game wasted your time, and is laughing at you for doing so.

This game just disappointed me from the start. Real shame since I was hyped. But I rather they stick to TES from now on.

i love watching these videos of 20 something gamers whining about graphics and optimization in a Bethesda Game. Feels good to have grown up in the 90s so i know what actual bad games are like. kids these days comparing this to NES graphics. lol so sad. It didnt fail miserably. it failed miserably for YOU. Your experience isnt the only one. sucks to not have good hardware. dont blame youre inadequates on the game itself.
