Kiesels are crap and badly made and their boss is a douche bag...I have bought Tom Anderson, Suhr and EVEN Gibson even thoigh their quality is dodgy...never Kiesel, I won't give my money to that dickhead charlatan who calls himself Jeff Kiesel...
I don’t often comment on RU-vid but this is really disappointing to hear and I certainly wouldn’t have put up with those issues on a high value US-made instrument. Each to their own, if the guitar makes you happy. But Kiesel already bomb on the used market as it is, and you will be the one held accountable for some of those issues if you ever decide to sell it to someone else. If anything this video has certainly reinforced for me that it isn’t worth taking a risk on Kiesel’s QC or customer service, especially outside the US.
Purchased a 414ce a few months ago and have serious buyers remorse. Can not get a useable plugged in sound no matter how i eq it. Seriously thinking about dumping it and trying to recover most of my 2700 and pulling my Epiphone DRM500mce refitted with a K and K pure mini out of the closet which sounds 1000 time better with minimal eq. More expensive is not always better. Some brands have a Brand Name tax on them that far exceeds the actual value. Taylor is one of them. At the price, it should be a plug and play not requiring someone with a degree in sound engineering just to get a barely passible result.....
The coil split in the Classic version is what you need. They are true single coil sounds. The Modern is for metal and voiced to be so. Now cut those strings off the headstock.
Damn. I do like a few Elton John songs as we probably all do and I thought I changed my mind about him watching the movie Rocketman but this clip is unacceptable. What an idiot
PS, does a piece of resonant wood enhance or absorb vibrations.? We need to look at harmonic sympathetic frequencies.. which are ALL negated by simple distance from amp... Why else would virtuosos like Satriani spend time soundchecking and X marking areas of the stage that he can get optimal note feedback distances. If in doubt, watch the experts.
Snake oil seller extraordinaire...He's selling an argument about an acoustic instrument. A Stradivarius doesn't have single coils or humbuckers which deal with the vibrational response of metal strings.
Great video my friend! One question, how do you set your fx loop block? have you noticed any volume drop or any change on the "feel" of the tonex? I've just bought the tonex one to use with my stomp, and when the tonex is in the loop, it seems to have a volume drop. Greetings from Brazil
@dariogrijalba Not entirely. What I did was increase the volume of the "return" within Hx's FX Loop block (about +1.5). This helped with the volume issue, but not with feel. Currently I have been using more the HX straight into ToneX than Tonex in the FX Loop.
Back in the mid-late ‘80s I used a Fender Strat with DS-1 pedal, through a Peavey Butcher 1/2 stack, set DIST at 2 o’clock TONE at 10 o’clock and LEVEL cranked, and I just loved the sound and tone ❤
Honestly I’ve only had limited time with the axefx but I bought a helix floor in 2022 and I love it. I may not be great at tuning in the cabinet models so I use IRs instead and I love the sound. I would consider myself an amateur though so maybe I’m missing something that could make it better or bias me towards the fractal unit.
I have a stomp and a rack was just wondering what I was missing and want to capture my tube amps too. Got one coming from Sweetwater just doing some research, glad I came across this guy!
Mooer 💯 Reecho & jet engine flanger & mod factory 2 all have a button on them & sonicake Sonic ambience & 🔅 dimension & Sonic dub & the shark ☠️🥔🪄 stax micro pedals May be up to par 🧣AliExpress has them in Hong Kong 🤪😤🙄🤕🤧🥺
The wood that both end of the strings are connected to should have some impart on how the string reacts, how long it vibrates and how much intensity it vibrates with. That is what the pickup is listening to.
Thank you for using logic and speaking sensibly! 🤗 I do NOT believe that PRS is a stupid man. Certainly, he knows how both an ACOUSTIC guitar AND an electric guitar work. He is simply spouting MARKETING to justify the high cost of his products. The higher the price of his guitars, the more money he makes! 🤑
I HATE talking Jeff and i HATE their polish cheap guitars...tye tremolo is TOTAL SHIT too ☝️ Kiesel is a FUCKING money business ☝️ As Van Halen....build your own dream, it only wood so how hard can it be (i have build my own new dream guitar many times thrue 30 years so i know more then this STUPID phone order).
Great vid, would enjoy seeing you do one using the HX loop for stereo effects like Boss RV-6 into Boss RT-20 and using the HX for chorus and delay. Then using the saved DSP on layering amps before the loop and cabs after. Maybe save more DSP by putting an EHX Pitchfork in front of the HX.
So have a rubber nut, a rubber bridge, two concrete blocks for scale length and away you go ? Or, do you try a bone nut, a metal bridge, and perform the same test ? Or, a wooden sliding clamp, versus a metal one ? I doubt that a spectrometer would fail to expose the differences in tonal quality sustain and playing feel.
So: TLDR: It's bad Guess it's basically the same pedal as "VSN Guitar Harmonizer"? Looks the same on the outside, and we know many cheap pedals are just the same OEM circuit.
I’ve had 4 friends build out kiesel’s over the last couple of years and everyone had pretty major issues and a horrible experience with customer service. Regardless I was going to give them a shot. Until I saw a video of Jeff kiesel berating a customer over a genuine issue which was the final straw.
