Do you think the learning content (multiple modules) provided in Microsoft learn for PL-300 certification is enough to pass the exam or should we be going through some other materials as well? Thanks!
That's me. I spent the last 10 months taking course after course without creating a single project. Today, I started developing a portfolio web with your guidance video. Thanks, Matt!
It completely depends on the company. Some companies, even when fully remote, might still have strict guidelines on where and when you work. Other companies are much more flexible. The company I'm with now, (different than the one I was with when I filmed this), is fully remote and pretty much has a "work wherever" policy.
No, but I do think it is helpful in giving credibility to your proficiency in Power BI. It could help you stand out from competition, if even just a little bit (and sometimes that's all it takes).
@@pontusrydstrom5869 It's not guaranteed. I'd like to offer an alternate perspective: Certifications do help, but they're not a silver bullet in the job hunt. They may stand out to some employers, maybe not for others. Take the course or exam for the knowledge gained and view the credential as a bonus. To get a job, you'll also need to have a solid portfolio, a good resume, and will need to interview well.
Hey Mike How are you doing I have a problem with my LinkedIn account. I got banned on August 20 and they haven’t got back to me despite the fact that I’ve done verification. I don’t know why they banned my account. Can you please come to an aid. I’ll surely appreciate it.
Thanks mate Matt for sharing such valuable insights especially the point of building a network. Could you please answer my this question "How to gain domain knowledge as a beginner for data analytics". I would highly appreciate it.
Hello! Matt mike, i bumped into your page while searching for videos on how to become a data analyst, and I must confess I did find your short video intriguing. If you don't mind, can I be part of your community. I have subscribed, liked and equally shared. I would like to get more value from you. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing this video. I am transitioning into data analytics from hospitality. I recently acquired my Google data analytics certification but I am having difficulty with job search. Your videos are very informative and d helpful. Thank you so much.
I was suspended from LinkedIn because of constant login in from 8am to 8pm on my account. I will connect to you as soon as I get feedback from linkedin. I found this video really helpful thank you for sharing the information 😊😊
Thank you for showing this video content. After watching this video, I secured my first internship role as a data analyst at a sports recreation center. I could not thank you enough.
No, but it's also not something I've been targeting. To get consistent inbound freelancing opportunities, I think you'd have to have a pretty big following here on RU-vid.
Hi Matt, the link to the full video is not clickable. I suggest you add the main video to the "related video" section for this reel from yt studio, then it would be easier for the people to go to the main video through this reel. PS. I have already watched the full video. It was great ❤
Great Tutorial on Making Portfolio. I got all the ideas I needed by watching this video. I wont be utilizing canned web page development tools like carrds, wix or wordpress. Instead I am gonna build one with my skills on HTML5 and CSS3. But I am gonna take all the ideas from this brilliant tutorial.
Excellent presentation with actionable material. Having served as a daily intelligence briefer for senior executives, you are spot on for delivering analytical results.
Good stuff thanks Domain knowledge Storytelling, understanding context, know who you're speaking to Product sense, understanding a product, knowing what makes it great and how to improve it
Hi Matt, I really love this content that you put out. I love the fact that you emphasize domain knowledge - very few content creators emphasize this! I would really like to know more about product sense/problem solving as this is crucial in today's competitive job market. Any resources that you can share or upcoming videos on this will be really helpful. Thank you.
Not necessarily. I think a foundation in SQL is great for ANY data role, and it depends on the complexity of your role, but you won't always need to use SQL for Power BI development.
Thank you! I'd say they're very closely related. The main difference being that you want to find data more complimentary to that role. In my experience, that was working with a lot of financial data.
