In this video, I take you through a day in my life as a hybrid data analyst. On this day, I did a half day in the office and a half day from home to show you all the best of both worlds. I do half days in the office like this about twice a week and then usually do 3 full days from home.

can you work with a laptop from anywhere in the world as a data analyst?

It completely depends on the company. Some companies, even when fully remote, might still have strict guidelines on where and when you work. Other companies are much more flexible. The company I'm with now, (different than the one I was with when I filmed this), is fully remote and pretty much has a "work wherever" policy.

At the time of filming this video I used it quite often. Probably almost daily. Currently I’m in a different role and don’t need it quite as often.

Thanks! Unfortunately there’s no guaranteed roadmap I can offer over a RU-vid comment, but here are some thoughts to consider. When you are seeking a fully remote role, you’re opening yourself up to the global market. That means these are highly competitive roles. You have to stand out as a candidate by being very proficient in your skillset, and having a solid portfolio/resume.

I'd say the average range for an entry-level role is between $60 and $80K.
