A fabulous collection of exhibits you've shown us here, especially inside that submarine. We had the opportunity to get inside a decommissioned French Nuclear submarine recently and it is incredible to be in such confined space knowing that people lived and worked inside these machines.
Thank you for sharing. Do you have your radio mic connected to the mixer and can you switch the mic input to different or multiple radios at the same time? This is my objective right now. I am using an Electro Voice RE20 on my ICOM IC-7300 and a HEIL PR-781 on my ICOM IC-9700. All my mics are XLR going into an A.R.T. Studio V3 Tube MP preamp for the 26db boost. This is cumbersome on my desk. I want to use one mic for multiple radios and just switch my EV RE20 to whichever radio or radios I am talking on. Again, Thank you for sharing and hopefully I haven't confused what I am trying to accomplish. Cheers, Jay N6WIP
I got one today. I got it at a great price on Amazon. Its larger and roomier than I thought it would be. That's okay because I can cram in some additional items that u need on some of my day-hikes. Right now I only see positive things about the bag. Maybe in time I will say it's too large but not right now.
I just ordered one on Amazon. I checked Ebay and the three listed were about $40 more expensive. It appears that the three listed were bought from Amazon and then listed on Ebay. Oh well. I am sure I will like it. Thanks for your review.
UPDATE (4-5-21): I can confirm everything in this review. This tripod/monopod combo offers incredible value for around US $47.00 on Amazon right now. Don't spend ridiculous money on a tripod unless you're a pro! This is all 95% will ever need. 👍👍👍
I'm struggling with getting this right. I am trying to send the mixer output to the radio, so I can use a standard XLR mic for the radio. I've got an adapter that will work direct, but want it all thru the mixer.
you will need a push to talk switch for the radio, this can be a switch on the bench or a foot switch, then send the output of the mixer to the mic input of the radio
It's a great bag if you have alot of gear, it's very comfortable to wear, It fits in the overhead compartments of planes and has served me well for over 2 years.
No it does not, it does have a stud which holds the spiked foot which could possibly be removed (I didn't try). I'm not sure how stable something that tall would be. At full height the way the tripod is now, it is stable enough to use but i don't think adding a more height would be that stable. Thanks for watching.
I understand the logic. I don't understand how you physically connect radios to the mixer. Know it's an "old" video. Still looking into this is as a solution in my shack.
Just go from the Aux speaker out on the radios to a channel on the mixer, you can buy the cables at radio shack (if you can find one) Best Buy or amazon.
Was trying to figure a way to share a mic. Two radios. One mic. And I want the same mic to work the computer. How to do this and have PTT. is what I am investigating. Thanks for the resp.
@@ejo1960 There is a low and high for each input, put the aux out on your radio (the headphone out) to the high input on the mixer. It works great, same as if your a DJ and want to put a turntable or tape deck input into the mixer.
I should have a new review of this bag (after 1 year of use) out in the next few weeks. It is a awesome bag and still my everyday goto bag. Thanks for watching...
Most of the time it's the radio they are using, If it is a AM radio, the higher end units have effects built in. You could also run the tx audio thru a miser to clean it up and boost it or add a bit of reverb.
once the camera is on the tripod...is there any play/movement once the head is tightened down? in the video when you put it in portrait position, it didnt look like it was truly vertical? doe sit go all the vertical?
I like what the backpack provides, just wish it had a rear and side entry like the LowePro 450. I don't want to lay it down on the back to get something out only to get my back dirty when putting it back on. All the accessories are really nice. The top access means you put the bottom on the ground and if wet or muddy then you still get dirty. The entry is something that may eventually prevent me from buying the bag though. I hike a great deal and want easy access without getting muddy or dirty plus quick access to most of my gear. Thanks for the review! Yours is the best I have seen online!
I have used it on one flight so far, (united) didn't have a problem, it is kind of tight getting it in the overhead but it did fit. Thanks for watching...
