I don’t know why people consider some generations better or worse. I think that they are all very good. I like every region because they are all unique in their own ways.
I do quite enjoy every region but I do generally think gen 7 is the new gen 5 in under ratedness cuz everyone seems to Hate gen 7 for no apparent reason and when they give reasons they're dumb reasons like "oh the graphics weren't good" Bruh just look at gen 6... And "oh too many cutscenes" Well the cutscenes sure helped me understand more about Pokémon than playing the original gold with no knowledge of Pokémon. And the main one is: "oh z moves are bad" No they're not, the meme potential for each one is significantly better than megas and ultra necrozma exists. And for the mega fanboys and girls , gen 7 was generous enough to actually KEEP megas for you so I don't see why you hate it so much
I need someone to explain some of this to me. ill explain the others i do know (i dont quite get gen 3, gen 5 and galar's) Gen 1 kanto, theres a very small elitist group out there claiming it was all down hill after that. Personally im a johto fan and can confirm, shinies r just almost non existant, ive caught maybe 1 or 2 shinies in my course of playing Ssilver/Hgold and ive got well over 300 hours on it. i never played the og emerald or ruby/sapphire (hoenn) so idk the water reference. something about dive maybe? gen 4, diamond and pearl... also never played, only played platnium but apparently the health bar didnt speed up depending on the pokes max health and dmg done so a strong move attacking something like blissey took centuries to complete. gen 5 (black n white) im not entirely sure why its considered underrated, when B2W2 is literally consistantly being rated as top 5 pokemon game ever on just about every website. the og black and white felt eh, but white 2 was just amazing. x and y, i played it, enjoyed it, not much to say, ppl either agressively hate this game or find it nice cus of megas. i honestly dont recall who lysandre is, maybe the rly tall guy who wants to use the big gun thing and was kind of the villain until a floating flower was like "no" and he stopped or something? idk i didnt pay much attention to the game when i played it alola....sun and moon (ultra sun/moon was way better) lusamine wassss foiiiiin, though i was more into her assistant, i think there was a chick with short hair and glasses iirc. galar, i think was sword/shield, despite the hate i enjoyed it, literally no idea what this solrock using cosmic power means, i dont even know who martin is. the battles in this game were basically a joke (tbf all the battles in pokemon became a joke after x/y, but its a kids game so who am i to be mad) hisui, best thing ever legend arceus opened up so many opportunities, but yah its just time travel, there wasnt rly a joke put in this one so idk what to say. apparently in scarlet/violet the shiny odd chance at max is like 1/48, its stupid easy or something. Alas i cant be a chad, i cant help but hate on scarlet and violet, it straight up looks like the terrain was taken from mario 64, given hd and better lighting.... mario 64 runs better then this game to.... thats sad, im sad.... the worst part is, instead of fixing their mass amount of bugs and glitches, they decided to just release a dlc and give us an update that barely did anything. HOGWARTS legacy has been out for 2 months shorter and has released like 5 patches fixing over 500 bugs in the past 3 months, yet pokemon in 5 months couldnt even fix 1 problem... pokemon, the most profitable game companies out there, cant compete with WB thats damn near going bankrupt.... wtf im confused, screw pokemon, once they remake Hgold im done with pokemon as a whole, its not worth it.
For the Hoenn games joke, pretty sure it comes from the IGN review where they criticized ORAS for having “too much water.” For X/Y, yes. Lysandre is the tall, red haired dude with the big flower looking weapon. For SwSh, Martin is one of the NPCs in max raid battles. He’s infamous for being annoying with his Solrock constantly spamming Cosmic Power/Rock Polish (just for its stats to be reset every few turns) instead of a damn damaging move. He only really uses damaging moves like Rock Throw and Psychic when the raid mon is at low HP. They’re so useless.

On my latest rewatch I feared Deathly hollows part 1 would be so boring and was excited for part 2. However when I actually reached part 1 I quite enjoyed the slower pacing and more nuanced tone, and part 2 felt mediocre in it's final act and lackluster unsatisfying ending.

POA is the best and most stylish HP movie, I used to conside GOF the worst, but I always liked certain things about it, it just is not really close to POA's level, and it stands out when you watch them back to back, but I think HBP is probably the worst/least necessary of the films. there's no real villain in that movie I think is one of the main issues, I guess there's Bellatrix and Greyback but they're not main villains, and overall just not that much happens in it apart from Dumbledore's death and some exposition about horcruxes. DHP1 is probably better in my opinion, I don't know why everyone seems to hate on it so much. I suppose the same things I criticise HBP for you could say about DHP1, but to a lesser extent.
