Very cool! Brings me back to my childhood! I remember a friend of mine had a kart with a McCulloch engine (mid 70’s)( with compression release too)it was a blast, especially running around on the streets after a rain, Scary Fun!! I picked up a vintage McCulloch chainsaw a while back with the M1010 engine, Why? Just because we old Gearheads are always keeping our past alive!! Take care!
This 2 stroke go kart motor has a really peaky power curve, I've had it flip over backwards at 20mph and have some scars to prove it.@@whathappened2230
The UP Big Boy and the Challenger class 844 have both come through my home town the last few years. For sheer presence you can't beat the 844 with it's 6 1/2 foot tall driver wheels.
Thanks Dom, when I took basic arc welding(stick) I was really struggling until my instructor stood behind me with his hands on my hands and all of a sudden it clicked 😊
Understand your also interested in locomotives. Have some Union pacific Big Boy steam whistle videos on my RU-vid channel rangerdaddyo. Have a great day.
A few years back my stroker shovelhead wasn't quite done so I put a set of soft bags on the SV and rode up to Sturgis by myself. Shadowed several groups, let them flush out the WHP Radar, fastest trip I ever made. Cruised at 90-100 mph on several long Wyoming stretches.
@@rangerdaddyo9064 …. Nice trip on the SV. The furthest I’ve ridden ours is a long day ride in the mountains of southern East Tennessee, around 450 - 500 miles. They are so nimble and the torque is amazing.
@@WillysPerformanceCycleCtr love the back roads in Tennessee. My son lives a mile from the Arnold Engineering and Development Complex and we make it out there every couple of years
@@rangerdaddyo9064 …. I worked in Tullahoma for several years. Nice area. Still live in Middle Tennessee, not far from Murfreesboro. But, we own property over on southern East Tennessee too.
Really love that area. My son's mailing address is Estill Springs but his home borders Arnold AFB. He helps run the supersonic wind tunnel at the AEDC so we have access to the Wingo Lodge on the banks of Woods reservoir. Beautiful twisty roads all through that area.
I have mentioned that exact thought in the past. No antique door knobs, automobile hood ornaments, found art objects, nothing on there that's not functional. Sort of essence of chopper/bobber. Been a part of my life for 30 yrs years.
In the 60's there was popular Camshaft Company named Clay Smith Cams. Their logo featured "Mister Horsepower" the Wild Woodpecker. ( just did a little Google search, quote: Mr Horsepower the famous cigar chomping Woodpecker has been the face of Clay Smith Cams since the 1930's.
Filter on the breather hose off the back of engine case, also a loop in the hose to scavenge oil back into the motor before it makes it to the the filter, to pass tech at the dragstrip I have a can that covers that little filter.
Thank you for this video. I added the rislone zddp with my last oil change yesterday. I noticed the difference wile riding today. I use the Bardahl 10w60 syntetic oil with the rislone now. It is perfect for the very cold starts in the morning this time of the year, when the mornings get warmer in a few months I will go for the20w60. Anyway thanks for the tip about the zinc...I 'm allmost ashamed to confess I wasn't aware of this... I think many of us are unaware...
Thanks deedee your absolutely right concerning the government meddling with oil companies and their formulas definitely seems to be under the radar. In fact I think I'm going to buy a lifetime supply of zinc additive before they outlaw that as well.
Thanks for the positive feedback Richard. If by chance you'd like a few more details Google December 2019 Cycle Source Magazine it comes right up, scroll to page 38.

Thanks, bare metal for 30 years since original build. I polish with Scotch Brite if surface rust occasionally appears. If you would be interested in a few more details Google December 2019 Cycle Source Magazine, it comes right up scroll to pg 38.
Thanks Dave. Appearance wise the bike is basically unchanged in 30 years years since the original build. Stroker rebuild really boosted the performance. If you would like a few more details. Google December 2019 Cycle Source Magazine... it comes right up ...pg.38. Thanks for the positive input.
