I got it to fit on the ninja 500 SE 2024, but you will have to remove the black box under the tail, because it's a millimeter too large for the hole in the fender eliminator...
Great video, I didn't want to mess with my new bike but now im definitely grabbing a fender eliminator kit. also I had to google what a "formula meter" allen key is, next time i heard you say it, it finally clicked 🤣
i like it without the washers on the license plate light, its tighter than the oem but still has a little wiggle to it like it was with the oem mounting , i think it will make the bulb last longer since its not a LED
Just installed mine. This instructional video helped out immensely. Just 2 tips for anyone installing this: Use a J.I.S. screwdriver (Japanese Industrial Standard). It looks almost exactly like a Phillips, but it acts much differently. It is designed to not cam out and to not strip. The Phillips was created to cam out so you don’t damage whatever you’re screwing into, such as sheet metal. From what I’ve researched, it was invented because workers kept over tightening screws in war aircrafts and were digging into the sheet metal on the planes. My J.I.S. screwdrivers have a lug on the end of them so you can attach a racket if you wanted to so you could really crank down on the screws. For the turn signals, I went in at an angle and tightened down as hard as I could, and didn’t slip, strip, or cam out at all. For the second tip: Lick your finger and coat all the rubber with saliva before working those pieces in. They go in so much easier. I know that sounds perv, but it works. Thanks again Vagabond for this video, I absolutely love this product. My bike looks so good now!
35 year old here.,I live a somewhat active lifestyle and recently experienced tennis elbow. I had issues with even just taking my blanket off of me while getting out of bed. Feeling all the pain/weakness right outside of the elbow area. I tried this and INSTANTLY felt better. Thank you sir.
Will this same fender eliminator work for the 2024 model GSX-S1000? Or do you guys have an updated one? Not seeing any for the '24 listed on your site.
Just installed it on the 2023 model. It seems we don't need the aluminum spacers, or maybe I made a mistake. Also, the rubber parts did not come installed but not a big deal there.
😮ty for the video,I was wondering where I could something like this to put on my 2024 duke 390,I'll probably put a box mounted on it later an see if I like it as well for items to secure an or try door it out for small delivery. Thanks for the info
Extremely good product. Love the fact that it uses all the stock lights. Took about 1.5 hours to install going slow. Looks amazing. thank you for the install video.
Thank you so much for the step by step. Was following it to install a different kit and liked yours way more so i ordered one! Feeding the turn signal connectors through that rubber was a PAIN but it’s on now. Very nice kit
For the 2019+ models with the stiff rubber turn signals, it's much easier to put the spacer on the rubber first then attach to the bracket. Only thing is there's a tiny gap between the bracket and signal now, which is negligible when looking at the difficulty. Use a small flathead to the spacer in, then jab the rubber wjtb the flathead and push to get it into the bracket.
Awesome. I ordered a cheapo one from Amazon and it was garbage. When I looked on here for an install you were the first video. Realizing the eliminator I ordered was garbage, I sent it back and ordered yours. Used the video to install and we're rolling. Thanks for the awesome product and demonstration of how to install. Very appreciated
Just wanted to say this was an excellent video, down to the pain in the ass rivets in the corner of the undertail upon final assembly. You actually touched on every snag I came across in the install. The kit is nice, though the spacer rings provided can crack if you’re not extra careful. Mine did, but they still function the same and you can’t see it when installed.
Just put mine on. I struggled for 15 minutes to even get the first electrical connector thru the grommet. Then I took a razor knife and carefully sliced it! Opened it up to go around the wires and inserted it into the opening. Once I smoothed the outer lips on both sides the slit couldn't even be seen and no functionality was lost. BTW- I love the appearance of this tail tidy and its utilization of the OEM turn signals.
Installed this tonight on my 2022 MT07. Great fit and finish! Looks awesome. Easy to install due to great instructions from this video, and helpful hardware. You weren’t kidding, the grommets were a challenge to get over harnesses connectors! But not too bad really. Watched the video and mimicked it step by step. I have novice skills, and completed in a little over 2 hours. Having a drill bit adapter that conforms to the hex bits is crucial (1/2”, etc.). Thanks Vagabond. Great product, expert instructional video. Would recommend anyone to your company and products!
That will require adapter washers to fill in the teardrop shaped holes on the fender eliminator. They are readily available from a variety of ecommerce stores.
Works perfectly for the 2024 zx6r. Just had to remove a plastic insert from the turn signals and put it back in after fitting the rubber part of the turn signal
I put this kit on my 2024 40th Anniversary. 100% fit. Putting the rubber collar in the cutout was the toughest part of this though for sure. Struggled with the second one for a bit. I have a Subie as well. 04 STI sits right next to my 40th.
Fit on my 2024 perfect other than the signal lights I had to take the plastic piece out to put it in than put the plastic back in after it was in place
Wow what a great step by step hands down the best I’ve seen on RU-vid for explaining anything. Great camera work as I was able to see everything you did. I might not be able to do this because ordering givi side cases and top case for touring. I don’t think it will fit where the signals land. Suggestions as I hate that original fender? I guess my only questions why oh why do manufacturers make these beautiful machines with extremely ugly useless fenders. Why don’t these come out of production like this?
