Can you replace multiple unique components with a single component, without keeping the styling of the old component, so you don't have to reset all instances? I'm trying to replace 3 components in our design system with 1 single/other component and showing the new component for all the instances, with the styling of the new component. Appreciate the feedback! Great plugin!
Hi! Unfortunately there is no way to selectively ignore overrides (e.g. for styles). I think you may be able to use a different plugin to bulk reset overrides selectively but I don't remember if it actually exists or I'm just imagining things...
this is amazing but god damn im annoyed that Figma gave access to so many people who aren't supporting the AI implementation instead of the people who actually would love to use it
Override preservation in Master doesn't work based on names like Figma's native method. It works based on layer hierarchy and order. If the order of layers or hierarchy is not the same, it won't work. For example if there is an object with the following layers: [icon, text, button], the overrides won't be preserved when attaching it to component like [icon, button, text] or [frame: [icon], text, button].
@@gleb_sexy Thank you for your reply, I just tried one more time, it still the same.... by the way I just purchased your plugin! can we continue to talk via email? I will send you a screenshot. thank you!
Amazing plugin thank you ! But I still have another problem : I want to define a new "textfield master" and unfortunately when I target a new master, the information (label, placeholder, etc.) doesn't update! However, the components are built in the same way (layers and sublayers) and the typography styles have the same nomenclature. Can someone please help me?
Hi, please email me at gleb@dominate.design and provide some screenshots or even better a video of what you are trying to do. Hard to say what could be wrong (and what exactly you are doing) based on the info you provided. Thanks!
Great Video!!! Straight to the point. I have tried countless web apps and widgets to ease the workload of creating a pattern, but this allowed to quickly learn how to make one using Figma. Cheers!!!
That's GergoPlex! A nice similar keyboard is Ferris Sweep. The non-split ortholinear keyboard in the video is Work Louder Creator board. And the rainbow one is a handwired custom by me. Let me know if you need help with anything else!
пдф хридиэф муроводство . прога с ветром типо соответсвенно экспорт нужен и ввекторе ,а по факту экспорт только в растре . соотественно на плотер не отдашь работы - только растровые работы и в итоге корел рулит . печально
SUPER cool! The cursor key especially. I just got my first mechanical keyboard in the mail and was curious about how to set up app-specific macros. Doing things like using the knob to change selected layers’ elevation is a great example. There’s some standard keyboard shortcuts I was thinking of mapping to some keys I don’t use often like “page up” and “page down.” If you have any tutorials, or could point me to some, I’d love to learn!
Haha you've come to the right place! Welcome! What keyboard have you got? The specific way you would set this up would probably depend on the keyboard you have but a general workflow is to create a macro or a shortcut on the keyboard and activate it with a press of a key or the turn of an encoder. I also use Better Touch Tool macOS app that allows me to create custom shortcuts for different apps or remap existing ones.
@@gleb_sexy I bought a keychron Q3 and, following their instructions, have started exploring what's possible with customizations in the VIA configurator app. Sounds like learning how to set up macros is the next thing I should do! I'd also love to see if I can customize the lighting for more practical purposes, like showing CapsLock is activated, or having a key that let's me mute/unmute (the vanilla options that come with VIA for this particular board are all seem to be for aesthetic only, which is fine, but I'd so love the lighting to enhance the utility of the board).
@@AlicePackard awesome, the fact it's running QMK and is VIA supported is already great! Here is a good guide on using macros: docs.keeb.io/via#macro-1 (only please don't use them for passwords like one of the examples suggests). In terms of lightning configuration VIA is pretty limited, so you probably can only give it function by configuring QMK instead (editing some C code). Which is much more technically involved but not as scary as it sounds.
@@gleb_sexy So appreciate the doc link, thank you! Looking forward to diving in. Hope to see more keyboard content from you, it's great to see your creations
Any ortholinear split keyboards with knobs you recommend? My current daily driver is Kinesis advantage and it's hard to find anythings that matches up in ergonomics, but I am curious for an option with knobs.
Wow that's a cool keyboard! In terms of ergonomics it's pretty much at the top of the pyramid so there are not many keyboards that are gonna match up. A popular option with encoders that I would recommend is Kyria. I mean, just look at this thing: www.reddit.com/r/ErgoMechKeyboards/comments/s5elmg/custom_cased_kyria/ I've never seen a more beautiful thing! Depending on your overall desk setup and specifically the hands placement, a flat keyboard with low profile switches like Kyria could be a more ergonomic option compared to Kinesis that requires you to raise the hands and rest on your wrists (but if you don't do that and rest on the chair armrests instead, it shouldn't be an issue). Also in terms of sculpted keyboards (concave like kinesis, not flat), it's quite popular to 3D print them and hand-wire, so there are a lot of options, but I haven't explored them much yet.
