One of the best swings ever but Michael was an inconsistent putter. I think he possibly lacked the bottle to compete week in week with the best. But that 4 month stretch he had when he won the US Open and World Match play, he was the best player on the planet for that short time.
Miura selling more Nike clubs then Nike could ever imagine since 2001. Tiger signed by Nike to win and sell merchandise for a totally different club maker than he actually played.
4m in theres a reference to Callaway being part of a push to make golf more affordable to the masses. You might want to check that. Callaway might be an easier brand to get into in 2024, but in the 90s, I remember they were more expensive than everyone else.
I’ve always been curious, why do Brits mispronounce Nike? I notice occasionally in this video Nike (Nigh-Key) slips in, but I hear many Brits leave “key” off the end. You can hear the company owner pronounce his brand name (Nigh-Key). Even the Greek God for which the brand is named after is pronounced Nee-Kay). Still wrong from the way the Brits pronounce it. Why purposely mispronounce? Mostly, I wanna get a legit answer so I poke fun at my Geordie buddy.
The comments on Watsons Oh oh oh video have been turned off. I'm not surprised. So here goes...YUK YUK YUK to Oh Oh Oh. Its crap. Stick to golf boys. 😅😅😅😅😅
I stick to Wilson and Callaway. It's because I have been around those brands for as long as I've golfed. My grandfather used them, my great grandfather used them. My dad used and still uses them. it's true about finding a brand that works for you and sticking with them. The equipment industry is just flooded with brands. Even newer brands like Takomo, Indi,KIrkland, and PXG reenforce premium clubs at an affordable price. Other brands like Taylor Made, Ping, Cleveland, Tommy Armour, and Srixon offer similar quality clubs at substantially higher prices. I believe most golfers worry about clubs far more than their actual game. Were as I tending to work on my game, the equipment and apparel will simply serve their intended purpose. I choose the clubs I know will suit me based on the way I play the game of golf. instead of wasting time on too many clubs, brands and apparel. I'd rather put that time into my game and get out on the golf course.
Update: now on LIV Golf Tour. Given his record at Majors since 2017, I haven’t seen a World #1 and 2-time Major winner do so little at top-level golf since David Duval Terrible shame because he was elite-class with an elite-swing.
I am one of the many Bubba fans who miss him on the PGA tour...his unique style and his ability to shape shots drastically in both directions is amazing...fun to watch!
Beware of overbearing as a parent.... not every child prospers with helicopter parents... but Sean seems to have overcome this. There are so many talented golfers and so many more behind them in age...
Your final comments about Phil doing the right thing is bullshit...all he cares about is himself. He has forsaken any honourable mention in the great game.
This is a great video. Luke took the loss at Merion hard in 2013. He should have continued to play as he had before instead of changing his swing. Extreme swing changes is a common thread among derailed careers. Gary Player has said Tiger Woods would have won 20 majors if he hadn't allowed various swing gurus into his head, and I agree.
Nike also endorsed divisive politics and individuals with strong anti-American beliefs. They deserved to fail in a sport that is traditionally very patriotic.
However, Nike became too involved with the “woke” culture. That alone is a big turn off to majority of its hard-working upper and middle class consumers.
I just read a few comments. You all seem to be missing how he has disrespected the game's honor by not having any for it. Doesn't say much for his fans...
Live here in Milton/Pensacola area, they Love Bubba here. He is a unique awesome individual that is to be admired. Don’t know him personally(wish I did) but seems like a “Real” good dude!
