Welcome to East Midlands Fieldsports RU-vid channel.
I'm a butcher & game chef from Northamptonshire, as you can see from my channel I love my ferreting, cookery & of course shooting. All of my meat & game used in my videos are all local.
I have Beretta O/U and SBS both 20g , Beneli M2 12g and my wife has a 28g Koffs Sceptre and it's an excellant gun. Can't fault it so I'm with you 100%.
Most recipes use 1 day salting and some weeks curing to rmove more moisture. This 5 day salting seems to work good for removing moisture fast, but how salty is the end result? I have put 6 geese breasts in several styles of salt in the fridge today, not sure if I will remove them from the salt in 1 day (with additional air curing) or 5 days like in your recipe.
That chorizo your making u use no cure and after 3 weeks in the fridge did you not weight it at start to see how much moisture is lost , is that ready to eat after 3 weeks raw uncooked
New to shooting have a 12g auto , haven't been out yet, I have my own clays and trap ,where can I shoot the clays field or quarry , or is it range shooting only or what way does it work I don't have a dog for hunting so I'm go going to stick to clays till I get one
With any shooting (clay or game) you can shoot on any private late as long as you have permission from the land owner. Make sure you don't have any footpaths or roads near in the location of shooting.
Excellent video...had Woodcock brought to me yesterday along with a load of pheasants ..didn't want to cook the Woodcock with the insides left in...your video has saved the day...Happy New Year from a Midlander based In The Ribble Valley.
Saw two on our small walked up shoot today. A bit early for around me yet. But in December/January you would expect to see a decent number each outing. lots of Snipe too.
Poor little bugger🙉 I've only ever shot a handful in my younger years, I've not shot 1 myself for many years now. I didn't even see a single woodcock last season but I did see 1 whilst out stalking a fortnight ago. All the shoots I'm connected to say strictly no woodcock to be shot now. They generally go to cover/woods for the day time and fly out onto wet fields or boggy areas at dusk. 👍
@@EastMidFieldsports they've declined alot around us in recent years. We used to see loads on some drives every time and all year round with resident birds. To the point we have a drive called woodcock cus it used to be full of them. I've been out all day today shooting and not 1 to be seen unfortunately.
Hi, being from the East Midlands myself I’m after some permissions for my air rifle, got my shotgun licence en route but struggling to find anywhere to shoot for pest or game I was wondering if you knew anywhere accepting?
