Pigeon Shooting over decoys 

As Archie Coats pointed out you are doing a job of vermin control for the farmer ( not on a driven pheasant day) therefore I would take both ground and tree shots so long as it was safe and that includes not hitting your decoys or equipment.

Leave it when on the ground, it will pull others in, and take off when you shoot at the incomer.

Well done for showing your misses as well as your hits Liam. Normally don't shoot them on the ground but in the trees yes.

Not on the ground, landing or taking off again, will roost shoot them from trees or coming into them.

100% i will, don't let the landowner see you not shoot them.. Pest control as you said.. You don't want to loose your permission because let me tell you that somebody else will be waiting to take your place 👍

I will and do shoot them if they land in the pattern.

I shoot them on the ground if i’m day dreaming and missed one that has snuck in! In my experience it’s very few that will land though.

I would shoot them out of a tree but would always stand up to flush the pigeon off the floor before taking the shot

Not on the ground I’ll end up shooting my decoys , can’t beat a 20 bore especially on walked up days or roost shooting
