Before you put the seat covers on you should have put some gorilla black duct tape on those tears that gorilla tape is something else it would hold that material on those sets together really well what about the gas tank or are you just going to leave that plastic tank in the trunk and get a spray can and temporarily take care of that rust
I had this same Celica a long long time ago. Even had the same color inside and out. Mine had louvers on the back window. Always have missed that car. I loved it. Thank you SO MUCH for bringing one back to life. Would love to see a full restoration on one some day.
So many rides on those as a kid in Lisbon! Hundreds of this 180 served as taxis back in the 60,70,80 and a few still in the 90's...and then the 190 took over!!
These trucks are apart of my child hood! My real dad and his stepdad had some of these trucks and they were also diesel. My grandpas dad had bought a brand new 94 ram 1500 Laramie 5.9 318 magnum back in 1994 and it’s still in our family today. A matter of fact we went down to pick it up from la grange Texas from my great grand pas house back in April and drove it all the way to Houston for a Rolling Stones concert than back to Fort Worth. It runs and drives great and is actually pretty fun to drive. We will be restoring it very soon. Brings back alot of memories to back when my real dad and his stepdad had his 2nd gen rams like this.
I've seen it before, I know it was in Tucson AZ and I'm talking back in the early 70's. I worked at the Triple T truck stop and it came through the big truck was. I know that it's the same one, but it was a eye catcher. A lot of people were wanting a picture and I remember the cameras had those square flash cubes on the top for taking pictures of the inside. Working in the semi trucks and tour busses come to the Triple T truck if they were headed to California to their truck inspection station and California had a truck was but it was between $150-$200+ depending on what the state wanted washed. They couldn't have any grease drips of any kind even the steering knuckles any place there was a grease fitting we greased and waiting for the grease to come out then stop and you either wiped off the access grease and if you could get the power washer that was flexible and hit the fitting. So that's why truckers are bands in their tour buses stopped at the Triple T truck because it was only $99.99 and the driver received a receipt showing the time and date. So once they hit California state inspection station all the had to do was wait for the cops to run the mirrors on wheels to take a look at the front end of the truck and around the rear axles for grease hanging from a grease fitting and hand them to paperwork for the truck wash from Tucson AZ. So needless to say our truck was seen several country singers and everyone truck driver stop for a wash a the truckers tipped good if we could get the black off the corners of the trailer were the diesel smoke would hit the trailer and the tips of the exhaust pipes if the coment cleaner on the ends of our 12 foot scrubber brushes. But yes I see this homemade rv in it's glory days.
I just wish this video had you talking your way through it. This is one of my top five favorite cars ever. I'd have one but I've never lived in a place where I could have a vehicle just because I wanted it due to lack of a place to put it to work on it and my primary vehicle is NOT going to sit outside. Oh well. Very, very, VERY cool car that is misunderstood and not appreciably nearly as much as should be just for the suspension alone, let alone all the other cool things about this car.
VERY cool old trucks! Especially ... well I can't figure out which is my favorite as I keep thinking it is one of them and then I think about cool things on the others and I flip which is my favorite and so on. Hope to see more about these trucks not too far into the future.
Anche se vi siete fermati con il restauro siete stati bravissimi avete una forza di volontà eccezionale siete veramente in gamba, complimenti, saluti da Roma 👋👍👍
Love the silence. Many a ride with my 3500HD rollback with my own stuff on it in silence for 100 or more miles with just my thoughts. Cleared my mind! Most things 'thought out' and ready for everyday life again🤔😏.
I’m a huge VW fan but this was the worst video you’ve made. The telling is what and why you’re doing it makes the videos. Not a good video but love you guys
Out here in California you'd be arrested and sent to jail for LIFE if caught even opening the engine compartment in the few car wash areas like the one U use! I so long for the old California days
The combination of scripture and coming to the rescue of a lost cause is quite powerful. I really would like to see a full restoration, but I don't have to do the work of course. These cars are unique and as there are fewer and fewer around, they deserve to be loved.
Hi there folks, I noticed you never wear gloves when dealing with the vehicle. Any particular reason, because it could get dangerous. Cheers, great people, amazing work!
