It’s massive! They’ve had four rounds so far - each Saturday in June featured two countries with 40+ minutes of fireworks combined. Mid-July is the final show with the top 2 contenders: Finland and China! Both countries were featured when this was recorded, so it was really lucky to be there for the best ones! This is a great attraction for Da Nang and sponsored by Sun Group in Vietnam: diff.vn/en/

What month is Hoian flooded like this?

September and October usually see the most typhoons and rainfall. The floods usually last a few days at a time, and life goes on in the meantime.

Incredible views, and the way people have organized themselves around the flooded places…

Thank you! Local people have adapted to the recurring floods here, and built lots of trade around it, such as boat tours through the walking streets, and coffee shops especially with flood views. It’s really inspirational how something so devastating doesn’t bring people down here, but is viewed as both an opportunity and a way to be grateful for when things are going well..

Wow Vietnam streets beautiful too even after super typhoon Noru. Is Vietnam weather bureau using typhoon categories too of Philippines? yeah you can prepare early too Vietnam people likes yellow color 😂😂😂

Yellow is something special for this area, and is especially common in Hoi An. It symbolises royalty, luck, pride and prosperity. The colour also absorbs less heat, and is well suited to the humid and tropical weather. I think the rating systems are similar between Philippines and Vietnam - Nora was a category 4.

It’s definitely less crowded than normal. Not only are there almost no tourists due to international flights being closed since March last year, but also following the new COVID outbreak many people are either staying indoors or have travelled early to their hometown before Tết
