I just heard in one video you mentioning that testing the flex of the wheels by pushing it side to side, up and down, was something for people that is not right in the head, like making fun of them... I just feel that rigidity of the wheel means sharpness in the ffb, the same that rigidity in our rigs, just wanted to say I have experience the difference between different wheels, and the feeling of the FFB and personally for me is something that is important, maybe is not for you but I feel everyone is entitle to have their own opinion, cheers buddy
Howdy man… You are correct, stiffness of the wheel is key and as someone who has had over 20-25 wheels at this point, both DIY and pre-made, the bend tests I feel is a little overblown. I do want a stiff wheel and I believe we all do, however, when I see some of the tests people do, it makes me laugh. Similar to those who spend the extra on a 30nm wheelbase but never go past 15. We as sim racers spend so much money, or expect so much, but if we get into our own automobiles, there is flex everywhere. Honestly, it is mainly me poking fun at the bend it in a way that will never be applied in the sim. As long as grips are molded onto a 5mm alu or CF plate, your likely never to see any flex. When it is a separate piece, than some level of flex may be inherent. But I totally agree with you in premise, a solid wheel, with good rigidity is key for any rig, especially as the NM’s increase. I personally can feel the difference between alu/carbon front plate + plastic/3d printing body (slightly softer ffb feeling specially at high torque) Vs alu/carbon front plate + aluminium/carbon body (sharper and more consistent ffb feeling from low to high torque) . I would call it subtle differences and FFB feeling, not a day and night difference if you know what I mean. It is always nice to see you buddy😁.
@0rtizjjay most welcome mate. Always love to hear viewpoints from others. I will say a 3D printed with carbon front is the lightest ever. So much so that the feedback feels more pronounced. My aluminum wheels dampen the feedback a bit, but as you said all about personal preference. On a 8nm wheelbase that weight can make the difference. The GSI hyper P1 is amazing but really heavy, so on an 8nm base it would dampen too. So many things to consider.

Dude, you are speaking my language. Fat Ass Grips. We need to market that to every manufacturer. It should be a requirement. I will not lie, it is making me like it a lot. I use it quite a bit for LMU and it is awesome.
You mentoned the pokornyi wheels having simhub devices profiles in the future Where did you hear this? I've got an LMP pro I built ages ago and it would be cool to be able to simplify the setup a bit
I heard this from Balazs himself. Not sure when it will launch, or which wheels it will support, but that is the plan. It may only support certain wheels or their newer products, but I think it is really the only GAP they have that needs to be fixed.
@@grayzedynamics Oh cool I do hope they go back to the LMP pro Would make sense for anything with a combination of screen and LEDs I'll be honest until watching your video it's not something I'd thought about much. But it's also come at a time I'm working on a new DDU design for my partner so I may put together a simhub device profile for it now.
It would make a ton of sense. I despise having a bunch of arduino's I need to move around to get to work. As you get more devices, it just makes things a headache. It is the only blemish in the armor of PE.
They are both very similar in build quality excluding the aluminum enclosure and shifters. Very solid and great quality. I prefer the size and grips of the Kodai over the PE. The feel of the grips are better on the PE as they are a bit softer and more tacky but it's only slightly better. You would be happy with either. You do get the touchscreen on the Kodai, PE not because of the glass. Either way you go, both are good.
can you please tell me what usb connection you are using instead of the GX-12 because the GX-12 looses connectiong whenever I go for a turn and I would love to replace it for something rigid on my HYP-R, thanks!

Yes it is. I didn't know it wasn't CNC. It looks like it but I can see why it's not. That is a lot to CNC. But it would be cool. Especially for a cool price.
It's a good wheel but I'm having issues with creaks and pops under moderate FFB. Retailer is shipping out new grips but it has been disappointing to say the least. On reddit there are other people with the same issues seemingly.
Oh no that sucks. Yeah I am sure nothing is perfect. I have had issues with my Moza gear back in the day and had to send my R9 back to them. So you I get it. Hopefully you have another wheel you can use.

Just got these pedals tonight. I have a desk setup and they replaced some G27 pedals. At first I was absolutely lost. THank you so much for this video, it walked me all the way through to find the manual and the right software download, I completely missed it. Same with the setup. I left them as is out of the box and they feel good. I dialed the brake pressure way back as I am using them under a desk and they work really well. Its odd they feel odd yet smooth and I can almost feel once I get some time with them the consistency will improve. Already I can see my trail braking way better and my fast time on Okayama is only .3 second slower but my average lap time of 22 laps is .500 seconds faster and this is in the session I first tried them. I cant wait to see how they are in a week. Anyway, threw a sub your way to say thanks . GG my friend and thanks
Thanks for the sub mate and I am glad that you like them. Glad my video helped you set them up. With them being under a desk definitely have to tune them down as they can be quite stiff if you like, but the consistency you can gain is crazy. These are my favorite pedals by a country mile. Did you end up getting the clutch too, or just the 2 pedal set? I have custom CNC pedals on mine too, will be offering them soon. These pedals are amazing to say the least.
@@grayzedynamics I just picked up the throttle and brake for now. I have been using the auto clutch forever but I may in future pick one up to go sort of old school : ). Just back into iracing after a decade away and just trying to find my speed again. And ya i did dial the pressure way back as I dont want to roll back each time I brake LOL. I am planning on building a DIY rig but wanted to upgrade my wheel and pedals at least now. I have to admit the pedals feel weird after using the G27's all this time but I can also imagine once I get the muscle memory down and them tuned finally they will be way way more consistent.
@tracer0017 nice yeah being away so long will make things difficult but you'll get it I am sure. I use auto clutch. I don't play with any cars that use a clutch, plus it is uncomfortable too. I'm no skinny dude lol

I have a friend who has XL gloves and said he didn't have an issue because the grips are chunky. He has since upgraded to the FPE V2, but I think you should be okay. It's a chunky wheel.
Can you assign you in game virtual mirror to the DH like we see in some cars? Do they have 7” DH dashes? That looks cool just when I thought I’m done with buying sim racing gadgets I’m triggered again especially with that price on a CNC, take my 💳💵
YOu will not be able to. The only way would be to use obs or similar, and stream the part of your screen that has a virtual mirror on it and send it to your dash. It would not replace your ingame mirrors unfortunately, just copy them.
Yeah, I did try it and it is not worth the headache to setup each time. It works and since I stream it would not be possible to get it to work each time. I need to try and find a radar dashboard to try out for the additional Vocore screen.
