Alors « Allez » !
Very good video. However, I have some problems with that bout(Grumier vs Garozzo), I could attack into opponents' advance by a lunge, but how did Grumier manage to do so with a single advance? I tried and failed for multiple times. Is it because I'm too slow?
Hi Louis, thank you for your question. The covid has stopped part of my work and notably the publication of videos. Maybe in a few months I will be able to post more videos. Have a nice day.
Hi sorry for the delay ... Currently I no longer teach in any clubs and I stopped my work with the fencing federation and the pentathlon federation because I retired. But I will continue different missions around the world for teaching coaches, individual lessons and training camps. But with the virus, I can't travel at the moment. Have a good day.
I understand there are two situations covered here: 1) the attack to the foot in one tempo; or 2) the attack to the legs in two tempos. I do not see the attack to the legs in two tempos - did I miss something?
Hi David, in both situations the target is the foot, but it can be executed in one or two tempos. I hope it goes now. Have a nice day and stay safe. Michel
This vid reminds me a lot of USFA Coaches College classes I took with Alex Beguinet about 15 years ao. At 7:00, Michael talks about the taking the blade, and the coach keeping the blade out of 4, 7 and 8 position. Why? Is it because the student cannot easily take the coaches' blade in those lines?
