If you pay cash it should pay itself Bach in 5 to 7 years …. No more than that Numbers don’t make sense… Lease is worse …. But cost of laying out money that you could invest vs actual con ed bill is ridiculous . Some say payback of 12 years or even worse 25 years is crazy. I am green but not stupid
Your high on drugs because a roof cost little over 10,000 plus taxes in NY just had it done highest quotes were 20,000 $$$ range. Call a places and get a quote on your roof. Stop 🛑 smoking tesla propaganda crack lol 😂
Lorus watch maker has manufactured white faced solar panel watches, if on outdoor garden/off grid home solar panels on a larger scale, this progression would show any weather age deterioration more clearly.
I just don't see the value proposition making any sense for most people this is a beyond luxury good right now and while its cool to have energy security in case of crisis those crisis are normally the type of thing that would damage a roof.
Great assessment. While a Tesla Solar Roof is a cool combination of new technology, sustainability, and great product design it is about twice as expensive as a brand new roof with a brand new solar system.
I’m not buying anything from Tesla ever. If they can afford to pay their greedy CEO $65 billion they can sell their overpriced junk from China a whole lot cheaper.
I was interested in this unit but I wonder how it can be charged in 7 hours using the car charging cable. Car outlets only put out 120 watts. Or is Jackery saying it can use a 15 amp car outlet? Please advise.
Yes, this is the coolest solar panel at the moment! But the price! Wow! I assume that the price will fall over time and you will be able to afford to buy.
I have two 200w BougeRV panels in the mail right now. I tried a "classic" 120W panel after getting a Jackery 500... and that panel worked ok as long as it was fully in sunlight... but as soon as there was the equivalent of a pea shading it, the efficiency dropped like a rock. After looking around these CIGS panels caught my eyes, and what really got me was when it showed how well it could handle partial cover... the fact that I watched the really crazy videos of the panels being shot, run over, stepped all over and submerged in water after the fact and STILL worked, only made me more confident that the extra money for them are well spent. Personally I choose the version with holes... but ironically it seems as if you need to make the holes yourself you could actually do that without effecting the panel too much :p Not that I would do it, but still.
Really like my Mega 5, but I am surprised how quickly it runs out with only a 11×15 window A/C connected 600-700 watts is dead in 3 hrs, it cost abt $3000
Why are people saying lithium batteries last longer than lead acid when Ive seen deep cycle ones in golf carts last like 10 years or so while lithiums lose like half their power in 1?
Lead acid batteries typically require a constant voltage charging profile, where the voltage is held constant and the current decreases as the battery charges. On the other hand, lithium batteries require a constant current-constant voltage (CC-CV) charging profile, where the current is held constant until the battery reaches a certain voltage level, after which the voltage is held constant. Using a lithium charger to charge a lead acid battery can result in overcharging, which can lead to excessive gassing, heat generation, and potential damage to the battery. It can also be dangerous as overcharging a lead acid battery can cause it to release hydrogen gas, which is explosive.
You're forgetting ac2a is designed and geared towards a completely different group of people lol. You won't see any large bluettis being humped into the backcountry & the reason why it doesn't have a wireless phone charger is because one they're not efficient to charge a phone and you shouldn't be playing with your phone in the backcountry to begin with. By the way you can charge the ac2a with solar panels, we charged ours with a 100w renogy eflex folding panel. As for the light carry a flashlight if you are afraid of the dark
I’m an actual PWR Cell system has been junk, never runs more than six months without failure. Has failed multiple times during power cuts. It has safety issues with the snap RS fiasco and now my system is down as often as up and Generac only gives me a run around. MY SYSTEM IS ONLY THREE YEARS OLD. This is why Generac has four class action lawsuits pending. My advice is go with someone else
Is there a small DC to DC solution that actually works... ? I only got few panels, but I need the "logic" to tell the car how much it's able to charge, as this can change by the minute.
Thank you so much for this . I am inclined to retire and have a place away from the city . A battled the city all the years to make a living . I will " visit " the city when I feel so. The city of angels , the city she loves me . And away means away . Off the grids wich causes Panic . But not any more after watching this . I can . I always dislike the use of the dishwasher , for example . And I have no problem hanging clothes out to dry like a napolitan . I think of my years as a truck driver out in no mans land depending on the good care I took of my truck. Same way of life . Not afraid. Thank you again for your video .
I would like to see someone compare this to the Anker Solix C800. They are same price when on sale and have similar specs. I don't care for the flashlights in the C800 Plus but it could still be compared too because most people think that model is cool.
