Hi there, Im researching a cheap method to test if my home air purifier with ioniser is working, as in the -ion generator component. Do you think this kit would help?
Hi! Do you know if 15m band dipole works for another bands too? I mean, because of the harmonics. I planning to build a dipole, but I would like to use for more than one band.
I really will have to get a 125xlt, Im trying to bring a Realstic 2006 back to life at the moment I'm even renewing the backlight to it. I had one in the 80's and loved it but these Bearcats look very decent bits of kit.
Nice Dom. As you know, I've been using Molotow liquid chrome pens for exactly this for a while now. My toppest, most tippety-top-top-tip is to dispense a little of the ink onto a disposable surface, and use a superfine bristle brush, smaller the better, for applying it. Any pressure at all otherwise on the pen nib results in an unwanted pool of shiny... ask me how I know...
I did see a video where a guy had the one that you can use with repeaters. He said they were good for packet radio. I hope to use this one when out portable soon!
One Admiral could control all the weapon platforms in any unit connected to the system...remotely...no need to transmit an order to another ship and wait for them to fire...he could pick a target and pick a ship with the weapon best suited for it... and trigger the launch from his station ... Im jealous....
Hope you had a good Christmas Dom and all the best for 2024. Looking forward to more of your videos and hopefully work you again sometime. Meeting up was great and maybe we can organise a meet up with more Activators soon. 73 Chris M0RSF
Great location that. I must pay a visit. Antenna looks good but I’d be a bit worried about putting all that stress directly on the connector personally. M7MDO
I bought both variants, yet to build them, haven't got anywhere to put them, my grandson is autistic and into everything at the moment, I was thinking of a UV type LED, to mimic the flashing of sparks. Does a cooker lighter set it off?
Nice to finally meet up in person as we’ve had some Summit to Summit QSO’s in days gone by. Interesting antenna setup that seemed to work well. Decent weather for this activation though shame it turned sour for the rest of your holiday. Thanks for the shout out Dom. 73 Chris M0RSF
Thanks for the QSO Dom. Pinhaw Beacon is a nice summit for such an easy walk in. Shame the weather didn't stay like this for the rest of your holiday. 73 Chris M0RSF
Bro. Siair gave me so many years of hope, I Considered him a friend. I refuse to judge him, for his Sins I ask God to show mercy if he will, and I will pray for him tonight. God bless this pitiful and weak soul. He did all that he could do to obey and love you, remember the fallen one, the destroyer, the killer of all life, Bro. Stair is just another victim............BB
Not yet. We don't get many thunder storms here. It does pick up static from the carpet though. I'll put a miliamp meter on it at some point and video the results.
Shame it takes such a long , long time to charge up 12 hrs Maybe using DURACELL ULTRA or ULTIMA batteries might be a far better idea to use on holiday or if you can be bothered waiting this boring length of time fine charge it up from about 6 pm night before till after breakfast (9 am) next day. But, length of running time on batteries average is not known. But, be great to know a estimate running time or someone to a running test one on the original rechargeable & another on the DURACELLS & let us all know which is best. ( i say personally Duracells ) but, that's just my own personal opinion. I am sure someone can do these two test. As i really think this is my next added radio kit but, i need to be more certain.
Original batteries will last roughly 5 hours. Not done a test on other batteries. Probably would be better to have back up batteries and charge them on a battery charger.
Good to see you, doesn't matter about any of the popping or anything like that, just Grrrrreat you took the trouble to make the video. I am able to do stuff through other folks 🙂
