Well done, boy. Very good. Too bad this was not in a resonant building. Glad to see you perform from memory. Play music instead of notes on paper. Let's see more like this
Hermoso, pero que pena que se pusieron hablar y quedó registrado, eso no se hace. - Beautiful, but what a shame that they started talking and it was recorded, that is not done.
When i had the opportunity to briefly play this organ in 1987 on a visit to the Austin factory to check on the progress of Opus 2711, IV/69 it had 3 manuals. It now clearly has 4.
Eddie, you never cease to surprise me. Is this composer Thai? This piece challenged me as a listener for sure but I’m glad you brang it. Don’t forget about Langlais 😀
Eddie! I’ve heard numerous performances/recordings of all the other Lemare/Wagner transcriptions, but until now I’ve heard no one play this one! Bravo!!
An outstanding organ presentation played by Mr Zheng. This song is one of my favorites. The song is a heavenly inspiration to your soul and heart. Mr Zheng's tempo was not fast, but performed with a dignified elegance of each note 🎵 and throughout the Widor organ recital. Bravo to this fine young man's performance. He has a great Future ahead in concert organ presentations. Again, Bravo.
Ça me fait plaisir d'écouter cette toccata journée avec un tempo qui n'est pas trop rapide ce qui permet de garder la clarté de cette superbe pièce Bravo
Very well Done. So good to see an Asian boy willing to play something besides Bach. I would say that the only thing that stands between you and being among the great is - Memorize your music as the old masters did. You are reading and playing music, registering the music nicely. Note than concert pianists who were among the greatest and people like Fox, Schreiner, Swann, Lamare, Horowitz. Pinkham, Dubois, Hiendle - They walk on stage with MUSIC in their minds not paper in their hands. All Great (Notice Great) solo performers memorize their music. They don't play the notes, they play the music as they feel it, not necessarily as it is written. Go to it. You are talented and have great potential.
Please listen to Peter Hurford play this piece....all be it that no person has direct line to JS Bach....however good organ playing is also good imagination, choice of registration and balance....
This young man is extremely talented. The late, great English cathedral organist and recitalist, Peter Hurford, had a lot more years of performance experience. Hurford's interpretation and performance of BMV 552 is the best I have ever heard. However, this channel is about Eddie Zheng, and he is so supremely talented. I thought his registrations were gorgeous and his playing sparkles with vitality, color, texture, and it was so clean. He is going to be one of the giants in the organ world for decades to come. He already has distinguished himself. He brims with musicality and his technique is so effortless. It took me quite a bit of work to finish these six chorale preludes, though I certainly do not possess his level of talent. His pedal technique is so supple and accurate, I would pay good money to see him perform live.
@@edwardwilliamson1863 plenty of talented ones about...pity some of them have not placed on here...I'm afraid when things are out out there ...Ur placing urself on the performance spectrum ..having Hurfords recordings is an eye opener for many..and in today's online marketing should be listened to, and is benchmark I'm afraid ....from an artistic point and programming content, for me on this piece he doesn't cut it.
Very good tempo/ phrasing/ and accompanying the stiff tracker action; But, Please, Hold that final chord longer to the count of at least Ten, to allow for the building echo to reach the count of twelve! Well Done Eddie!
