Welcome! My name is John and I'm a collector of air guns, antique radios, vintage toys, and more! I review air guns from my personal collection. I reside in Cleveland, OH which is where I got the name - Rust Belt Air Guns.
That's the way a review should be...keeping it real...thanks! I'm always having to search and search for a real and accurate gun review. I liked the way you shot the gun the way it's supposed to be shot...the proper range and proper amount of pumps...would have been nice if you shot off a sandbag to make it more accurate but I'm happy with what you did. Nice shooting.
I chrono tested this springer and brand new oit of box 30 shots average195-205 fps. So plus or minus 10 fps which isnt bad for a cheap springer bb pistol lole this. I shoot this gel target with my brake barrel and my pcp .177 cal pellet rifles and they go into the gel targets but they are caught by trap and no ricochet i got it with this cheap pistol for indpor shopting wih the cheap pistol and disappointed with pistol so use the target to see what happe s with rifles
I know this is an old video but if i put in a full C02 tank into my air pistol, can i put it down for a few hours then go back and shoot some more or is that leaving it for too long?
I have a mercury rise mub 50cal paintball self defense launcher with the quick piece button so co2 dont have to be held in there, but some air gun youtubes say once after u shot it even with oil, if u stop and store it away for years, co2 un pierced, the seals a still go brittle and bad, if not shot periodically so the seals go bad no matter wat even a brand new gun thats never opened, is that true!
I have not had any issues storing CO2 air guns, with no cartridges installed. The piercing gasket sealed as expected. I don't have any air guns older than five years old.
zu Lwowitz Ever since I receive a M 712 from Umarex about 4,000 BBs ago , I was wandering about the claim of 360 FPS (on the box and everywhere ) since the couple of ‘wandering BBs at the beginning of my shooting escapades went clearly through the 1.5 inch wooden door at our bathroom . This feet couldn’t be reproduced by my other airgun SA 10 which claims a FPS of 430 - 440 . Both guns produce , at best , the same FPS -----shooting 5.4 gr steel Daisy BBs ( my SA 10 doesn’t like pellets of any kind or fashion )-----as futher velocity tests done with the same external condition ( including the time ) have shown . My contention is that FPS-----as one , if not the most , important stats for the customers-----should be taken much more seriously. The difference of almost 100 FPS shown above is clearly impossible to swallow and , thus , all reviewers ( including this one ) should start with chrono test . I believe that a lot of expensive misunderstanding could be thus avoided .
May the sun bring you new energy by day. May the moon softly restore you by night. May the rain wash away your worries. May the breeze blow new strength into your being. May you walk gently through the world and know it's beauty all the days of your life.
Very careful review of a nice plinker. Watching you shoot lolly pops reminds me that it's been ages since I had a cola-flavored one in my mouth. Strange, but my mouth was watering and tomorrow morning I'm going to a gas station for a handful. BTW I'm 63. 😄
@@rustbeltairgun8718 Thanks for the suggestion. I will see if there are any in the wide range with "made in the USA". Taking the plane from Belgium would not only waste time but also make the handful of lollypops expensive and perhaps taste sour. With the song "My girl lollipop" by the English group Bad Manners in the background will complete the picture.
Thanks for another great review. I hope your health is improving. I have this shotgun and am very satisfied with the performance at a very reasonable price.
I'm not an expert in materials science, but I agree that, with the many decades CO2 power air guns on the market, that they should have come up with a more robust material for the piercing gasket.
Range is limited to about 25 feet, due to the short barrel. Crosman does not publish power in Foot-Pounds or Newtons, only projectile velocity. The SNR357 can shoot .177 steel BBs at velocities up to 400fps..177 alloy pellets up to 500fps, and .177 lead pellets up to 350fps.
My pp01 has an adjustable rear sight. Scew is on the underside. Its totally adjustable, left or right. Im liking mine alot. I got a laser sight mounted, was an ebay pistol-laser combo, and its accurate. Has good power. Built very well. I give it 5 stars 🏁🤓👍
Thanks for the tip, I missed that the rear sight was adjustable during my review. I wish the manufacturer included an instruction manual that included this information.
The DPMS SBR parts list is published by Crosman here: support.crosman.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013315111-DPMS-SBR-Owner-s-Manual Once you identify the part numbers of the missing parts, contact Crosman Toll free: 800-7AIRGUN (724-7486) to see if you can order replacement parts.
Every airsoft retailer should have a little sticky note on their website with this info. I had cartridges in my mags for months and never understood why they started leaking. Now it makes sense and I always make sure to spend the cartridges and unscrew them. Luckily, I can just buy a new mag but with guns like these, it’s a bit more complicated.
Paintball enthusiasts often use Plumbers Teflon Tape, on the tip of the CO2 Cartridge, after the piercing gasket has become deformed. I have not tried this myself.
@rustbeltairgun8718 i just bought my airsoft gun brand new and that part was leaking co2 already, so i also have to use teflon tape not to make it leak. But can the co2 capsules stay in the airsoft when you habe teflon tape on the capsule or is it still better to take the capsule out when ur done?
It's great that you're doing reviews on some of these less popular or less known air guns. Have you seen or tested the other Isaazon pistol? It's a CO2 pellet pistol with a revolver clip that goes in it. I saw it on Amazon but haven't found any video reviews of it. It does look pretty cool though and might be fun.
