Correction: BBs are loaded from the front of the cartridge, Pellets are loaded from the rear of the cartridge. Amazon Referrals: Crosman SNR357: amzn.to/38Us2a5 Beeman Targets: amzn.to/3BYH37q
9:06 the accuracy/consistency of this revolver is actually amazing. I was able to put 6 rounds in a half dollar coin sized grouping from 30ft after sighting it in
Just ordered this morning. Couldn't find a default in reviews via RU-vid and Amazon ratings. I'm glad you pointed out the handle shake so I know what to expect
Automatic transmission sealer works fine for lube on the CO2 canister, and is Far less costly. Says BB Pelletier. And it's been working for me. Thanks for the small fraction of a review, the gun looks quality.
ATF sealer's purpose is to soften the aged gaskets in a transmission, so that they seal better. I would be worried that it would damage the piercing seal in an air gun. Besides, Pell Gun oil is not that costly and a little goes a long way.
Overall a nice informative video. One area that could have been explained better is that the bbs are loaded from the front of the cartridge whereas pellets are loaded from the rear of the cartridge.
@@rustbeltairgun8718 Yes difficult to achieve manufacturer specs. They don't mention which pellet they used for testing that 495 fps mark...do you have any ideas?
Range is limited to about 25 feet, due to the short barrel. Crosman does not publish power in Foot-Pounds or Newtons, only projectile velocity. The SNR357 can shoot .177 steel BBs at velocities up to 400fps..177 alloy pellets up to 500fps, and .177 lead pellets up to 350fps.
A few questions if I may, first at what distance from the target was this review made? Second, what ammo was used, BB or pellet? Third, how many shots on average did you get before any noticeable decrease in performance requiring a CO2 cartridge change? Lastly, could you do a pellet accuracy comparison using the widest variety of available pellets (Wadcutter, Destroyer, Domed, Hollow Point, Pointed, Super Point, Fast Flight, Piranha) from Crossman and Gamo (Hollow Point, Expander, Buffalo, Hammer, Hunter, Blue Flame, Lethal, Sharp Pyramid, Magnum, Master Point, Match, PBA Armor, PBA Bullet) to list a few options... Personally, I would be very interested in the results from a comprehensive test/review of this type. In closing, I will say "Thank you for your time and keep up the good work" I will subscribe and give this video a thumbs up. L8R G8R :-),
Distance from target was 25 Feet using Umarex Precision .177 Caliber Steel BBs. I did not attempt to get a count of shots before decrease in performance. Maybe this is something I can do in future videos. I am currently in the hospital for cancer treatment and do not know when I can produce a new video yet.
@@rustbeltairgun8718 best wishes for a speedy and FULL recovery. Be well. I'm a stomach cancer survivor. Own this revolver. Use Red Flight pellets. At 15 feet I get good groupings and great penetration. Great for educating coyotes during my park walks.
Question - Does it work without the Co2 cartridge for BB's if you don't want to use pellets? And how long does a Co2 cartridge last for? Also wondering about the "medium" trigger pull. I have small hands with arthritis.
A CO2 cartridge is required for shooting both BBs and Pellets. You will probably get about 40 good shots per CO2 cartridge. I really can't comment on if you will have difficulties pulling the trigger, based on your hand size and arthritis.

😂 the Kermit, yes you sound like that 😂but let’s talk about SNR revolver. It’s beautiful peace, I think I got a good one and everything works as I imagined, pellets in the back and BBs in front, also I got nice pouch because you get 6 for pellets and 6 for BBs and I really love ❤️ it…People complain that’s inaccurate,,well fix your rear sight which is awesome and fully functional and adjustable. So if you can’t hit soda can at 20 feet you are useless and applies to everybody…🎉❤
In response to your reply to the individual inquiring if he could put live 357 rounds in the SNR 357, since I own a couple 357s it was a simple matter of opening the gun safe and pulling out a box of 357 ammo to put the debate to rest. And the answer is... (Drum roll please) YES! 357 rounds will easily, dare I say even quite nicely fit into the chamber of the SNR 357. However, since the hammer falls onto nothing even remotely simmilar to a firing pin, I doubt that doing so would have any results. (Of course I did not tempt fate by pulling the trigger just to prove a point on some RU-vid video.) LOL Have a great day! Talk to ya L8R G8R :-).
Thanks for the feedback. Hopefully Crosman "engineered" the SNR 357 to not trigger 357 Firearm Rounds. The SNR 357 would likely blow up in the person's face.
@@rustbeltairgun8718 I see, this is why I'm heavily considering an orange or yellow gun, last resort. Also pepperballs are illegal in many states including mine. Clearly as it can incapacitate a victim for many minutes during a robbery. Which leaves a single or two shot taser gun. Not ideal for multiple assailants.
@@logantrussel you are right, although it takes some work to get the license, it's well worth it depending on how responsible the owner is. I would like a pepper ball gun, because effective non lethal is basically the goal. and in an emergency I can give the pepper ball gun to someone without a fire arm license. good practice, second weapon, non lethal. it's up to the individual if this is a starter before the fire arm or an addition after a fire arm
I just received mine today. Intend to use as a training tool for my wife. I can't find any info on the "real life" pistol this is designed from, so I can't find a molded holster for it. Does anyone have any info? Like is it an S&W J-Frame, for example? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. ***BTW, when I say "training tool for my wife", I mean to train her to carry, present, fire, and re-holster, not to keep her from getting out of line.***
Crosman knows that air gun is worthless at more than 7 feet. They also know that the brown-tipped shells are totally worthless. I threw mine away. You have to use the full metal shells with pellets to make the gun fire best at 7 feet. Stuff toilet paper in the grips to stop the squeeks. The gun is gorgeous. It feels very comfortable and realistic in the hand, but it's a statue, a paperweight, something to get you shot or beat up if you go outdoors with it. I can't imagine why xman wants to ruin their reputation making it and foisting it on the public.
I don't own one yet but I'm watching a lot of videos on it and I'm noticing that some reviewers can't hold their arms steady while shooting. I would think that with short barrel it would be totally dependent on the operation being steady or highly practiced for target shooting as with any short barrel.
You could, but they're not going to work the way they're supposed to. The pistol would either blow up in your hand when you fire, causing serious inhury or you'd just break the gun by getting a bullet caught in the barrel. only use ammo intended for the gun.
It is no good for shooting over 7 feet. It looks and feels nice. Stuff toilet paper in the grips to get rid of the squeak. I did, but it the piece of shit wouldn't flush down. Hefty. It's best suited for rec room shooting in a collector.
