could have much better explaining the swap procedure - P and S valves. it would be so long between swaps I would forget, and now I still mess it up. BUT now i have it. Just didn't hold onto the instruction sheet long enough. 2 pieces in the chuck you only just turn around the rubber end, smaller opening vs larger opening. I was always taking the second piece out also and swapping front to back. AND once you unscrew the top cap that rubber end comes out easy by lifting the locking lever up and that rubber slides out. I was always slapping the end to get it to drop out. Dummy. This will now be ingrained in my head. Yes nice mini pump. The holder clamp is rock solid. The foot clip is best feature.
Wiping chain doesn't remove dirt. Most of he dirt is inside the chain. So take the chain out and soak it in the degreaser or kerosine for 5 min and brush thoroughly .then boil chain in the water for ten minutes. Add some washing powder in it. Then put the chain in sunlight .when it is dry ,u can put in back to the cycle or bike. This method will clear the dirt completely
Any reason why it shows me correct speed, then it suddently drops from 20km/h to 6km/h then goes back up to 20km/h?? even though i'm still going 20km/h?
Do the CC3 models all have the squeegees in them? Seems like the CC2 models have the pads, correct? Oops you answered the "?" in the video. Nice unit indeed!
Too much jargon, 5mins on how to change a battery, if you haven't figured it out how to change a battery in under 5mins you're probably an idiot. Top tip! The slot on the back of the covers are so you can use the new battery to undo it by the way.
I have had this pump around brand new and sitting in a drawer because my road bike was stolen a few years ago and I have been using my other bike. Just bought a new road bike today with all the sales have a use for it again and voila here is your video. Great demo, tearing it apart and showing how it worked. I had trouble getting the leaver of the pumper up because it was locked. Your vid cleared that up thank you. Also reversing the valve inside, but I am unsure how to get the valve out, but not important right now. I will probably try to use some pliers.
You want to make sure you clean the cassette, jockey wheels and chainring well as well. One pass with cleaner isn't enough. Dump out the old degreaser and run fresh through. Between each round of degreaser take a sopping wet washcloth and rinse the chain. Do this cycle numerous times until there's no evidence of gunk in the fluid then do a final rinse to get rid of any cleaner residue then dry it off with paper towels and air dry. You want the new lube to be in contact with the metal of the chain.
Thanks for this video! A lifesaver! I just bought a new MTB with presta valve tires and had no idea how to orientate the parts in the tip!! I hope this video stays up forever or is there a website to get instruction sheet? I don't have any with my pump.
This pump is awful. I can't figure out how to change between a Presta and a Schrader and the print instructions are terrible. This "instructional" video doesn't help either. "Remove the two inner parts of the head or even remove the parts in the correct way." What?? I'm returning this piece of junk tomorrow
My dZ4LW-C3 was working fine for about a year and then abruptly stopped, both the cadence and speed transmitters. I checked the three batteries which are fine. I did the magnet test with the units off the bike, and were fine. But it won't work on the bike. I've fiddled with the alignment for quite a while... even tried a different magnet from a Sigma bike computer.... Anyway, I sure do miss it working.
1:35 If it's so easy to change between Presta and Schrader, why wouldn't you show it? Isn't that the purpose of a *DEMO*? It's a great pump, by the way. You could do a better job of displaying all of it's features, though.
I have this, and every time I try to use it, it's so hard to pull the chain through that it causes it to snarl up in the front derailleur and fall off. What could be the issue?
You have to be conscious of not pulling or twisting the chain to one side or the other with the scubber which will knock the chain off the ring. Also try getting the chain started by holding the chain scrubber with your left hand, pull the chain with your right hand to get it meshed with the sprockets in the cleaner and settled in the squeegees and gets it wet with degreaser - it should pull through easier.
Daniel Rice Your parents are at fault just like I am for my kids wanting someone else to take responsibility for everything. Dude, half the fun in life is figuring out how to do stuff on your own. If you can’t figure out how to pour out the cleaner and rinse it out maybe you’re not safe to ride alone in the woods!
I like that you guys look at the competition and keep improving your products. Are there Filzer dealers in the United States? I think I once saw the CC-2 on Amazon but neither the CC-2 nor CC-3 appear to be for sale there now.
you all prolly dont care but does someone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account? I somehow forgot my login password. I would love any tricks you can offer me.
@Deangelo Arian i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Nicholas Joseph Hi Nicholas, the chain really does not need to be submerged in fluid. The brushes do a great job of getting everything wet, scrubbed and flushing the dirt away. Your chain will be nice and clean.
I would try Varsol, I used this before these chain cleaning devices were invented when I used to soak and scrub the chain in a paint can after taking it off the bike, it wouldn't hurt to still use it today, and its cheap too.
Thank you for posting this! I have Schrader valves on my bike, but I am helping out with a bike tour and many on the group have Presta valves. I've had this pump for a couple of years, but finally figured out how to pump Presta valves with it.
i can't figure out the velcro.. & i am assuming that when i pump it to 30, it means 60 (30 x2).. even though i have not totally figured out everything with this pump, i am pleased with it thus far. & i really like the look.. when i was at the store, i only had a little time to make a decision on which pump to buy, & a friend of mine suggested i buy another brand. but i liked the look of this one & quickly looked at some of the features and decided to get with this one and glad i did.
