The Filzer Chain cleaner makes it simple to clean dirty chains with its 168 rotating brushes. 2 updated plastic squeegee pads wipe off the excess solvent from the chain to minimize the mess. The flip-lock securely locks the top cover in place. Magnet on base to collect steel burrs from chain. The handle provides ample support and keeps it upright when resting the unit on the ground. You want to make sure you clean the cassette, jockey wheels and chainring well as well. One pass with cleaner isn't enough. Dump out the old degreaser and run fresh through. Between each round of degreaser take a sopping wet washcloth and rinse the chain. Do this cycle numerous times until there's no evidence of gunk in the fluid then do a final rinse to get rid of any cleaner residue then dry it off with paper towels and air dry. You want the new lube to be in contact with the metal of the chain.

Do the CC3 models all have the squeegees in them? Seems like the CC2 models have the pads, correct? Oops you answered the "?" in the video. Nice unit indeed!

I like that you guys look at the competition and keep improving your products. Are there Filzer dealers in the United States? I think I once saw the CC-2 on Amazon but neither the CC-2 nor CC-3 appear to be for sale there now.

Wiping chain doesn't remove dirt. Most of he dirt is inside the chain. So take the chain out and soak it in the degreaser or kerosine for 5 min and brush thoroughly .then boil chain in the water for ten minutes. Add some washing powder in it. Then put the chain in sunlight .when it is dry ,u can put in back to the cycle or bike. This method will clear the dirt completely

Daniel Rice Your parents are at fault just like I am for my kids wanting someone else to take responsibility for everything. Dude, half the fun in life is figuring out how to do stuff on your own. If you can’t figure out how to pour out the cleaner and rinse it out maybe you’re not safe to ride alone in the woods!

I have this, and every time I try to use it, it's so hard to pull the chain through that it causes it to snarl up in the front derailleur and fall off. What could be the issue?

You have to be conscious of not pulling or twisting the chain to one side or the other with the scubber which will knock the chain off the ring. Also try getting the chain started by holding the chain scrubber with your left hand, pull the chain with your right hand to get it meshed with the sprockets in the cleaner and settled in the squeegees and gets it wet with degreaser - it should pull through easier.
