First Review: "Blood" in October 2016 Banner made by BMC.
Reviews - Top Lists - History - Black Metal/Industrial - Walkthroughs - Urban Exploration On everything dark n spooky. And sometimes not.
If you don't know me, I'm obsessed with Black metal, Industrial, and 90s everything. I review games/cartoons, make lists, and write dark music. I also run "The Apogee Museum", a project of mine in hopes to showcase, support, and archive everything regarding 3D Realms and ID Software. Links to my Alternate channel and FB Page for that are also at the bottom.
Note: I don't yet have a consistent upload schedule. Sorry about that. ); These take up days-weeks to make and I'm usually really busy with life stuff. Otherwise, enjoy these labors of love to games & shows that plagued my childhood and life throughout. I do take requests if I have the game/time.
If you want to get in contact with me or see something covered on this channel, you can hit me up through Twitter, FB, Steam, or email. :)
You earned the dislike when you said emulation wasn’t better than a CRT TV. Emulation allows the game to be run in any resolution, any filter and can be catered to any display.
@AngryCommonSense dunno why that earned the whole video a dislike. I spent so many hours on this video :P But it depends on what you're emulating. For ps1 games, yeah I'd say CRTs do look better with them. I know emulation allows any resolution and filter but you'd have to see how these things look like on an actual TV. The way the TVs display is more than just scanlines, it can't be replicated with a filter. The colors are a bit different too and are usually not fully accurate on an emulator. And lower resolutions look perfectly fine on CRTs. Alot of the games from 6th gen and earlier look better on them from what I've seen. Everything afterwards (and some ps2/xbox games) look better with emulation and modern TVs.
I like this track but I'm not bothered by it not being in the game, not as a regular looped level soundtrack anyways. Shadow Warrior has a special feeling for me and I think it's in large part due to the calmer and slower music that's actually used in the levels. The game feels quite silly with all the jokes and oneliners, which would probably carry over to the gameplay itself if it were not for the music. I think the serious music complements the need to stay on your toes on the higher difficulties, which is something I wouldn't have enjoyed the game as much without. This track could probably fit into a different game or at least a level that is more linear and action packed than most of the original ones. I don't think I would have felt good listening to this for 5 to 10 minutes straight without fighting anything when I'm trying to find a way to progress, something that you sometimes get while playing Doom wads for instance.
I remember this. We used to do it for real, big vamp clubs in Chicago.,we all had fangs, blood parties, vampyre role-playing. In the 90s i thought they werent real enough, i was a kid , these guys looked flashy after awhile it was popular so we killed it and so they cosed the clubs, too many not real vampires..... i could see them and everything. Hahaha
There's other load screen and menu musics no on the main track. Can you please try to find these and post them? It would mean the world. LOTR is my life!
@purplecascade I got lucky with mine back in 2014 or 15, before the prices skyrocketed. It was still expensive for a used dvd set at the time, but was so worth it
I can totally imagine Greg doing Grim's voice when he and his exes are...getting intimate. I can't be the only one who thinks Grim's voice is like an aphrodisiac. Especially with that Jamaican accent! XD
Claw came out in that strange time, when demo cd's where faded out, yet the internet wasn't as wide spread as today. Simply, not a lot of people knew about claw, because there was no demo to play and gaming mags (like cgw, pcgamer) didnt really care about 2d platformers.
This map is so bag. All these switches that open random doors. A door after a door. I hope the rest of the maps are better. I almost dropped this game because of that boring map. Will see.
Heyo! Thanks for reuploading. This was indeed made by a D-mix channel. It was a guy from Poland and his name was Damian or Daniel (since D in D-mix). He also made other great songs and I had the pleasure to even get FL Studio files of some of them. I've even remixed some and they're still on priv on my channel. I don't have FL files anymore tho but I thought you'll appreciate some extra lore regarding this song :D
I played the absolute crap out of the shareware version as a wee baby child, and only recently was I able to get a hold of a full copy and finally finish my childhood game. Felt good. Felt very good. Great video man, glad to see more fans of the game ^^
An absolute banger of a game. How they did so much with so little is astounding. Some people had so much talent back then. The music still has me in awe when i listen to it. Great review mate
I have been looking for this album for DECADES, it's so amazing to hear these songs again. I wore my tape out in high school. Thank you so much for sharing this 🖤🖤🖤
