I pre-ordered this and honestly I was super pissed off and thought I was gonna miss out. Target kept telling me that it was on backorder and eventually a day before it released, they cancelled my order because they had none in stock. I went to like 5 Target stores that day after calling them and them CONFIRMING they had it in stock. No they did NOT and had no idea where it was. 2-3 days later I go to my local Target where I originally ordered it from and THERE IT IS! ...one Target gave me a $10 gift card for the inconvenience. It was nice but I was still pissed. Thank you to that nice lady though. She could tell I was frustrated AF that day.
I have the original version. I like that they made the new one blue. I have the blue version of Jazz Inc's 1/6 scale BTAS Batmobile on Pre-Order. I can't wait to have that in hand.
Yes!! Mine had weird dents all over the body I counted 8 of them. The cockpit was so loose and the clear plastic was scratched and had prints on them. The QC was so poor. I went back to exchange only to hear that had to be on waitlist due to stock shortage. Got a refund instead.
It saddens me that these figures are ridiculously priced with horrible quality. I'm a big FF7 fan as I played it in my younger days and just loved the game. I've ordered Barret from BBTS and got Tifa on PO. Hesitating on Cloud as most reviews I've watched show how horrible his quality is and undecided on Aerith. Thanks for your honest review. Like you said, Square Enix is pretty much just monopolizing on these characters.
These have been in my Pile of Loot for a couple months and theyre now on their way to my house and Im not happy how the reviews turned out. No longer anticipating their arrival. A bit salty I spent that kind of money on them.
I saw these sold discounted with 'broken parts' or whatever on some US store like several months or so ago. I did a bit of research and thought they are asking WAY too much for a broken figure, not to mention the quality looked bad, in fact i thought it shouldn't have been sold at all.

He is saying that the scar as a whole is inconsistent. The scar part that's on his chest isn't as detailed and isnt sculpted like the rest of it on the other places...it's flat
Just got mine in. I do enjoy her, but there are issues. Sorry to hear yours came with the leg problem thats always my concern buying expensive figures.
Luckily I was able to run some hot water over her leg and was able to straighten it out, so It’s all good now. Definitely like the figure much more now!
Glad I could help! Subjectively I’m still going to go all in on this line because like you, I love FF7. It’s just unfortunate that we don’t get better options.

sounds like you have buyers remorse, I would like these but TOO EXPENSIVE, I got the street fighter jada toys and the quality seems better on those and much more affordable, hopefully jada gets more IPS like FF7
I wouldn’t call it buyers remorse per say. I’m still going to get the other characters because I love FF7, I’m just disappointed. It’s unlikely Square Enix will license any FF characters to other companies that could do it better. If that was the case Figma, Mafex, or S.H. Figuarts would have made them already. Unfortunately Square Enix wants to keep their monopoly on these characters.
They’re the classic ff7 designs. This isn’t the rerelease either it’s slated for July. You have the original release. I sold my original cloud in hopes the re-release will fix the qc issues but I’m doubtful 😅 also it’s square-enix not Sony but you might have just had a Freudian slip
Yeah, I mentioned it being square enix in the video in a little message on the screen. hopefully the rerelease does fix the issues. hopefully min was a just a restock of the old figure. I might grab it and see if there's a difference.
I cant agree more 100%! We were deceived by Square Enix... what a waste of money. It seems like they did it on purpose because they knew it was defective but sold it anyway... they must know right... its impossible that they dont know from the get go...
Hopefully the One Piece line gets it together before they release King or any of the Seraphyms. I honestly dont know if I’d be collecting this line if not in anticipation for those guys.
Glad to see a reviewer who actually takes into account real-life physics and materials AND takes the time to get familiar with it. Half the people, well let’s be honest, MOST people that complain about these figures don’t take the time to explore how they work. They take them out of the box, fail to pose it right or some part pops off and they get into a rant. Most problems that occure are easily solvable or even non-existant if you get to know the figure and take the time to manipulate it. People complained about Wano Luffy not being able to do a Gear 2 pose. He can do it just fine. Zoro, who definitely is a pain in the ass, can still take a fairly wide stance without having to go to cloth goods or cutting slits into the skirt pieces. It just takes a little effort. Nothing breaks on the figures. If a part pops off, just put it back. It’s not a big deal.
I definitely agree. I typically try to play around with the figures before I review them. I saw all the hate for this guy when figurarts posted the promo images and I knew I, especially with guy I needed pose him around a bit before I could give my proper opinion. I’m glad you liked the review.
