Honestly, outside the Kaiju meta, bill is just kind of there. His damage output against normal targets is alright, nothing special. They both have DR, though Sif's is free. His biggest argument, I think, would be having a character throw super power. Brothers in arms is not really something I think swings him in my favour. But, this is just me
Hahaha, holy cow that was BRUTAL! Still, a very fun report, and we got hints of what Lando's box can do, though the real stars were the bounty hunters. Apparently we DO need their scum.
Hindsight, but might've been better to go with the Wing Guard when drawn since they'd have woken up and not been slapping some very beat up pirates onto the points
Looking forward to try Loki in my new "Meme Team" Dormammu, Loki, Scarlet Witch All of them convert skulls into goodies for themselves. :D Also trying to work on another "Meme Team" with the new Thor and Sabretooth Apex Predator, to make a Pounce/Aggressive team happening. Pounce seams really strong on 3+ Size characters. I mean movement + 4 guaranteed damage successes for 3 power and it doesn't take an action...? That's just brilliant.
@@AegisbrandStudios I think it could be as easy as just splashing the new Thor into a Weapon-X list, but I went the "boring" route and made a 20-cost team with Emma Frost's Hellfire Club, new Thor, Sabretooth AP, and She-Hulk. I think the team might slap, but it's super meme-y and is just a "for shits and giggles" team I'm gonna try at some point.
212th not 501. Rolling 4 fails when they attack puts a damper on anyones day. Also defensively chewie and rebels rolled 3 nattys which is above the norm. Specially when chewy is rolling 4 dice lol. So dice be dicing. Iden being in full auto and not killing the commandos first activation and not taking the point single worst error in this game. With the commandos dead or at minimum off the point. Puts rebels on the back foot. Whatever unit they pull has to waste the turn slapping iden or bodying her point. Which only scores them 2. Thinking I don't wanna sacrifice my primary or whatever is weird. Her dashing back did sacrifice her. She provided 0 benefit to anything. No hask node. No body on a point nothing. Never using the expose hurts. Firebrand punching kanan you need the point to score any points. And not exposing him wild. The elite troopers need to be spread out. Putting one body on a point is fine. Specially if what's staring you down is chewi. They are perfect glass cannons. Good at attackin. Shit df and expertise. On average the elite squad should tap them with both attacks and in hask and its above average. So dice be dicing. But they expose is why they exist need to leverage it. Realistically speaking every activation besides del and firebrand should wound something. Also del. People give him a bad rap because 1-2 expertise are misses. Needing 3 so i can get 1 crit is a slap on the face. Isf have better attack and df and expertise. Oh and extra body for Hask. Ct standing on top of the platform why? He is not a body on a point and can actively be ignored since he is not doing anything anymore till he is pulled again. Engaging him doesn't stop him. Spends a force and at minimum can double dash himself. His df in bad play is good. Stand him on points. Empire is aggression.
Sadly, I do not have control over how often Google shows you ads, I can only give it suggestions (of which, I definitely do not space them that closely).
I noticed this was already brought up….the characters and effects on the side is a HUUUUUUUGE help! I’ve always loved watching you guys throw down! Keep up the good work guys 🤘🏾💯
27:58 I love how the camera cuts right after Namor's 6-dice attack with 1 reroll does no damage to Rocket's 2 Physical defense. The emotional damage must have been too much to handle! 😢
Love the report and seeing the new models and affiliation. One thing I noticed is that you kept checking for away when pushing on Magnetos builder. His builder can push in any direction
One thing I'd note is using the middle of the tools for measuring shoves can get people shoved further than they should be, so I'd always recommend using the end of a tool so you're getting just the r1 on it and not going diagonally.
Yeah, I think survival is a card that will see value with weapon X. Giving him that guaranteed activation would have messed up the new mutants something fierce
Rules Error: There was an addition error during list building. The Leia Squad is over by one point, as there was a mistaken value on Han/Chewie. Han and Chewie are 5 points, not 4.
@andrewsmith575 yeah, it was a completely honest mistake. I made the cardinal error of assuming he was a four point unit, as.many are, and not double checking, as I should have. I am taking solace in the fact that Sabine did not do a whole lot, to make up for my shenanigans
Yeah, we messed up the math. For whatever reason, I kept thinking Han and Chewie were 4 points, not 5. Now, at the very least, I think Han and Chewie had a bigger impact on the game than Sabine did, but the point remains, there is an asterisk on this game because of that addition error
I LOVE the new editing format with the image of the character activating and the attack or super power. As a non native English speaker, I really appreciate the extra work ❤
Losing Excep Healing 100% has impacted all healing factor characters. I feel the cards need an adjustment because its clear that they banked kn that card when designing. I would like to see HF characters getting Immune to Poison and/bleed, or have it removed when they heal damage with HF, something that closes the gap The replacement card is nearly useless.
Yeah, losing Exceptional Healing is such a big deal with them. Part of the problem is that many of these characters with Healing Factor were designed with Xceptional existing, which means by virtue of it being an option, they were likely toned down, or adjusted, in their capabilities and power level. The new card just does not bring the oomph it needs to replace Xceptional
Perhaps personal experience kick in with my opinion, but I have yet to have that card feel good to use. The power to stamina ratio is not great, and the fact it relies on not being dazed/KO'd for it to even be used increases the opportunity cost of it.
@@AegisbrandStudios I think it only really works well on Logan and Wolverine because HF2 allows them to take 4 damage from an enemy activation and then be at full stamina at the end of their own activation. It's definitely not amazing but it's still better than most unrestricted Unaffiliated cards in the current pool.
I've found instant recovery a poor substitute for exceptional healing. If it only costs 2 or maybe even 1, then I would probably rate it higher. I already was running recalibration matrix, now it's my substitute for exceptional.
Logan is def less squishy than Laura. He has more health on both sides and one more def die for phys and energy, all around more resiliant. In a low threat game, Laura works better to fit in as leader, but mid to high threats, def Logan
I tend to lean against that, personally. Logan is a much higher priority target, over Laura, which leads him to being focused a lot more heavily. And while he has an additional defense die, and more stamina, because of that extra attention it burns away a lot faster. I think this is a case of on paper, it makes sense, but in practice, I find it works the other way.
While Logan does have an extra defence dice, Laura has a defensive reroll, which is mathematically fairly to an extra dice. Course it has less potential to spike, which with the change to x-ceptional and the small health pool definitely matters. So while Logan is more tanky, it’s not a huge margin, as creator says he’s often a bigger target and he’s not good on clumped crisis so don’t think it’s an auto by any means.
Great game by both players! Leland improved his Apocalypse tactics from the last game. It looks to be a high learning curve affiliation. Kudos to Evan for playing a comic inspired Defenders list.
The guest was Trevor 😉 But yeah, he did solid with Strange Defenders in that, and Apoc is quite the learning curve to figure out. He really loves or does based on his horsemen, I think
Feel like Death Trooper had a couple options to get the mandos off that last point? If he double pushed the first guy to the edge instead of into the crates it looks like it would have done it. And then in the last turn he probably could have moved to get an angle to push the same guy away again. Not a mistake, just a thought. Great game! New mandos look powerful.
He had some options we did not see at the time. However, the double push back would not have gotten them off the point either (we checked that quite a bit before committing). Godlyness, in another comment, offered some solid observations on what he could have done, though
Welcome to the community, and I.am sorry to hear you are having trouble finding games. There is a rather solid fan server on discord, as well as the TTS league servers. You might be able to find some others in your area that way
