I watch everyone who makes pie crust to see what thier secret is. I don't like a thick crust, nor a super thin crust. I don't like a doughy taste to my crust. I want it to be flaky layers. I have not perfected my crust. I will try yours. Thank you.
if you want it more flaky, fold it a few more times like laminating process in croissant making. You can also add more butter, that is what makes it flaky
Always sharing with us new great information! I have switched to A2 milk and I have noticed less bloating. Thank you for the additional information 😊❤️💯
Thank you Doctor for a very clear and informative video. I made my first batch of kefir last weekend. I used the same recipe, 64 ounces of whole milk plus 4 ounces of Lifeway kefir. I fermented it for 48 hours with an average room temperature of 76°F. It turned out great with the same texture as your's. I use it as is for baked potatoes. I add vanilla protein powder and allulose to make it similar to vanilla Greek yogurt. This works as is or as topping for pancakes, etc. With my next batch, I'm going to let it ferment until it separates into curds and whey. Then I'll drain the whey to get a soft 'kefir' cheese. For reference, today's prices (10-2024) here are: $1.33 for 1/2 gallon whole milk, $3.99 for Lifeway plain kefir. An 8 ounce serving of Lifeway is $1.00. If my math is correct, my kefir is about $0.22 for 8 ounces. Thanks again from Northern Virginia for a great video. Subscribed and liked. Jim
I am so glad you were able to do it and save a lot of money. We can all save a lot of money if we just take time to make our own products. great job. Your message warmed my heart.
I especially enjoy when you share recipes from Nigeria! It’s so interesting to learn about other cultures and their dishes! The food looks wonderful! I can only imagine the taste so I’m going to try it so I won’t have to imagine it anymore! Thank you for your excellent step by step presentation! I love your channel!! 😊❤️💯
I've returned back to the good youtube. This is why I love it but sometimes i end up in rabbit holes. We all should be incorporating more fermentation into our diets. Thank You!!
@@VegasVitality Sorry this is so late but I ordered starter tea from a company in my state. It did not work so I reached out to the company who was kind enough to replace the tea and send two SCOBIES! The SCOBIES are about two times thicker than yours. I brewed some Indian teabags and that brew was unreal. I was able to share it with visiting family members that loved it. I second fermented with different fruits. I thought of you last night as I almost had my Mango booch explode! Now I ordered another SCOBY for Jun. I threw out the entire bottle because after 5 days nothing started happening. I should have read the reviews. It would have worked had I used a quart jar first and let the SCOBY sit in it for at least a week. The SCOBY was too small and thin for a gallon. I ordered from another company after a refund and I am going to try to make Jun again in a much smaller batch!
What a sick kitchen! I am subbing ma'am. Getting ready to start brewing. I am waiting for the starter to come because I can't find unflavored kombucha as I was suggested to use. Since you confirm the explosion from those types of bottles, I think I will stick to the screw on. Pineapple is notorious for exploding. My childhood home still has a stain on the sealing from some concoction my uncle made. As soon as my grandmother turned the cap on that glass bottle? Boy oh boy.
I’m definitely going to step up my probiotic intake with all the wonderful information you are sharing! I hope your viewers have seen the scoby and kombucha videos too! They are fantastic!! 😊❤️💯
You are going too love it. I would strongly suggest making 4 cups of tea with 8 bags of tea, and 1 cup of organic cane sugar. Let your SCOBY bathe in it with the tea that comes with the SCOBY for a day or two before adding the additional water which is usually 12 to 14 cups for a gallon. I used a brand of Assam black tea the first time, then some really cheap teabags the second time. I could absolutely tell the difference in taste. This is going into your body, don't be cheap with the ingredients.
