naturally aspirated V8, 5yrs/100k mile bumper to bumper, 0% for 60 months, 5-15k rebates, no cylinder deactivation, no turbo/hybrid, no gimmicks solid reliable truck with decent looks and killer price vs competition. you sir did an awesome job on your choice of a truck! can't wait to pick up one of the last ones this coming December when they go harder on pricing this out.
Most underrated truck on the market. Towed my new 5800 lb Cadillac Lyriq from Tennessee to Texas and my 17 Titan didn't skip a beat. And got 17mpg to boot. Best seats of any pickup ever made.
Good video. Just my 2 cents, I have a 2012 sv.234k miles. It will haul and tow more than stated. We had a camper briefly. The salesman was shocked when we hooked it up after purchase. His comment " I have never seen a 1/2 ton that didn't sag. It was a 26 foot grand design.
I like your titan brother!! I have a frontier a 2012 that ive kinda built up for off-roading its got low miles im only at 38k ive bought it at 28k miles on it. So far its been awesome one thing about Nissan trucks is they have a bulletproof drive train even the 4.0 v6 one day when the engine goes i plan on doing the vk56 swap ive seen it done and they are awesome!! Great content and beautiful family and thank you for your service to our country!!
Nice look! I bought my 2024 titan pro 4x because of your videos, so if it breaks 😂 Can’t believe how impressed I am with this truck. Thank you and keep adding videos.
@@isaachansard6224 oh wow! For both of our sake lets hope it doesn't break. I'll just point you to the dealership. Lol. I'm glad you're enjoying your Titan. Im still enjoying mine after year 3. I appreciate the words and the feedback. I hope to put out another video soon.
@@otisboromii1041 having those paint chips are a bummer. I'm glad its not spreading I may look into some kind of sealant so that it doesn't rust or spread. Overall I hope you're enjoying your Titan.
@jamarcusjoe good idea.. I'm going to look into that as well. Thanks I am enjoying it. I'm a month or so into owning it but it's been great for me so far.
I had a 2012 Pro 4X, and it was one of the best trucks I've ever owned, and I've owned about a dozen of them. Sad to hear they will be discontinued. I had the same experience with the 5.6L and premium fuel. You could feel the difference with a higher octane fuel. I averaged around 14mpg but man, that 5.6 ran and sounded like a nascar. It's one of the most fun engines I've ever owned. A proper 32 valve V8.
@@sinepari9160 that's great to hear. Most people haven't owned as many trucks as you. Your opinion holds weight due to how many trucks you've been around and for you to say the Titan is one of the best means something. I agree the 5.6 is a beast! I plan on keeping mine for the long haul for that very reason, the rumble and the reliability of the engine. Thanks for your comment.
I have a 2008 Titan with 130k miles I bought brand new. Other than normal wear and tear and some cosmetics I’ve NEVER had an issue with the power train. Hell I’ve never even changed the tranny fluid or done an engine tune up and it still runs solid! Just bought a 2024 pro4X 👍🏼
@@goatEyEz83 I love you hear it! I hope your new to you Titan runs as strong as your last. Im approaching 70K miles and still loving mine. I'm def keeping mine for the long haul. I appreciate your comment
@@sauravshakya108 I haven't used it during the summer. I believe it will be too hot for my dog on long trips. I love in a location where it gets hot and humid. During the fall and winter it worked great! On the longer trips I kept him In a crate.
Nissan needs to advertise their trucks better they seem to just throw them on the lot and say here ya go where the others are advertising them. The titan is a good truck and probably the most reliable one out right now
Im not sure why Nissan doesn't advertise their trucks. I believe that was a factor in their discontinuing Titan. My truck has proved reliable so far. I am definitely keeping it for the long haul.
Thank you for the insight when towing a Pathfinder behind you at 7K lb... Towing cars around would be the main reason I am buying a truck. 12-13MPG at that weight and having an SUV behind you as a wind sail versus a normal car is pretty good mileage!
My Titan handled towing 7K lbs like a champ! If you plan to use it for towing cars, I would go with the XD model. It's a solid platform for those types of loads. I recently moved again and towed a 4.5K lbs tandem axle trailer, and again, the Titan handled it with ease, even at 75 mph. Thanks for the comment.
Hey Jay, TITAN XD PRO 4X 2021 owner here. Great truck but I also had the random camera outage problem but got it fixed. Here is how I did it. Took it into the dealer under warranty and they ended up replacing the entire passenger side mirror assembly which included the camera, no issues since. Per them this has been something they’ve seen on not just the Titans but also some other vehicles like the Rogues. I was able to demonstrate the problem by putting the vehicle in park, hitting the 360 camera button and then if I opened and slammed the passenger door (where the camera was located) it would flicker and Fritz out. That was the piece of the puzzle that I missed. If I opened and closed the passenger door the camera would go wonky. Anyhow, it was replaced at zero cost under warranty. Hope you see this and can get it replaced under warranty also! Great video, sir!
I am glad that you were able to get it fixed. That's great news! Every time I bring it to the dealership and bring up the problem, they cannot replicate it, so they never do anything about it. SMH. One of these days, I'll get it fixed. I hate to say I have lived with it for this long, but it doesn't bother me when it does happen. I recently moved; the new Nissan dealership may be more open to helping me out. I appreciate your comment and help. I hope your Titan continues to treat you well!
@@jamarcusjoe the key for me was being able to consistently demonstrate the fault. Just randomly putting it in reverse didn’t do it because you know it wasn’t 100% of the time it would fail. I needed a repeatable failure. That said having some photos/videos of the failure plus being able to put in park with the 360 camera on and slamming the door showing how video cut out and was easy to consistently replicate when combined with the photo & video proof was to spur the dealership to act under warranty. They ended up getting a totally new passenger side mirror assembly (which included a new camera) and it has worked flawlessly in the several months since. I dunno where you are in the country but I went to Orr Nissan East here in Oklahoma City. Hope it helps!
@@Charles_And_Christina_H Yes, this helps! It may require me to sit in the Nissan parking lot and continue to put it in reverse until I can replicate the issue. I already have pictures and videos, and I have shown them. I am in Maryland now, so I'll see what this Nissan dealership says. Thanks again. I'll let you know if I can get it fixed.
@@jamarcusjoe just humor me and try this, my man. Put her in park and then hit the camera button on your dash to activate the 360 camera. Roll down your passenger window so you can easily see inside. Get out, go around to the passenger side, open and slam closed your passenger door. Does the passenger side camera flicker or fail? If so, there’s the repeatable proof. Opening and closing the door shouldn't cause the camera to go wonky, even temporarily. That plus the evidence showing what it was otherwise doing was enough to make them fix it. Also we found that when the camera was failing if you opened and then slammed the passenger door it would kick it back into working again. When I had that epiphany it was what gave me the idea of “hmm, let’s put her in park, hit the camera and slam the door to try and replicate the fault” and that’s what I came up with. A demonstrated repeatable failure that I could show them. You know how it is with mechanics. If you can’t get it to fail under their nose they are not gonna admit the problem exists much less fix it especially under warranty.
I have a 2019 Frontier Pro4x and am thinking of upgrading to the Titan. I want to like the F150 but have heard too many horror stories about it breaking down. IMO, the Titan is the most underrated truck on the market.
There are so many good truck options, including the F-150. I have heard horror stories about almost all the brands, including the Titan. I've been fortunate not to run into any significant issues with my Titan. I still love driving it. It's definitely an underrated truck. Have you upgraded? If so, let me know if you did.
I agree with the comments on the personal user view. I've been flip-flopping on what to get coming from an '08 Armada LE. It's videos like this that damn near seal the deal for me. And then I watch a video on something else and think maybe that's what I want. The warranty and the sound of the V8 just keep me coming back to it. I test drove a '24 a few days ago and although I think my Armada is a little smoother ride, I think I would be happy with the Titan. I see sooo many positive comments on them I just don't think I'd be happy in anything less.
Your truck looks nice in the black. I got the 21 pro 4x in red and there’s a 13inch infotainment touch screen designed for this truck that I’m gonna get in a couple weeks.
@@lastOFtheBOHEMIANS thats great to hear. Thanks. I just moved to a new area and I haven't used my softopper in awhile. We live near a lot of outdoorsy things to do. I might put it back on the truck this falll and explore with dog.
All I can say it's reasonable. An Oil Change and tire rotation every 7500 miles cost me, on average, $75. You would have to check with local service departments for major services.
I've always liked the Baja color. It's one of a kind, and you can spot it from a mile away. Im glad to hear you love it. Im at 60K miles and still love mine.
How were you able to rent a U-Haul auto transport trailer by itself? Every U-Haul place I have gone to will not rent the trailer to tow with a pickup. They insist you only pull the autotransport with one of their trucks. Do you know someone?
I reserved one online. When I added the Titan details, it approved the truck to tow the u to transport. I had no issues picking it up from the U-haul place. In fact, they hooked everything up for me and sent me on my way. Sorry to hear you're dealing with that. Good luck with trying to get one
Premium is optional. I use it every time I fill up I can tell the difference. Regular fuel works just as fine. With rising gas prices I may switch for a little while
I read on some online forum of a Titan owner that put over million miles. 3 secrets: Amsoil oil change every 5k (year round). But any other oil brand synthetic 3k If not towing... Trans/differentials/Radiator/transfer case fluid every 25k If towing/commercial use... Trans/Radiator/Differentials/Transfer Case fluid every 20k (summer) vs 15k (winter due to salt residue). 91 recommended or 87 with fuel additive. Thats it. The truck will go a million miles on that V8 NA engine/transmission no questions asked. Walmart Auto Services can do the services for pretty cheap price.
That's impressive. I believe it! I've had 5 different NISSAN vehicles and they are the easiest vehicles to maintain. As long as you keep up with the routine maintenance schedule the vehicle will run. I plan to keep my Titan for a long time, no plans to get rid of it any time soon.
I've owned a 2006 LE KC back in the day loved it ... looking at a pro 4x tomorrow especially with all you get in that trim level its unbeatable.. these v8s are solid to
I'm happy to hear that you still love your Titan! I washed mine today and took it for a spin with the windows down. Some people are skeptical about the benefits of using 93-octane fuel in the Titan, but I have noticed a difference in both fuel efficiency and throttle response. Thanks for not making me feel crazy. Ha. Thanks for your comment.
I appreciate the comment. The Titan might not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's worth test-driving and comparing. I was dead set on getting a GMC AT4 until I test-drove the Titan and looked at the price disparity. I've never regretted my decision. After 3 yrs and 58K miles, it's still going strong. You gotta let me know if you decide to get one. If you want more payload and towing capacity, check out the Titan XD. Good luck!
Just got a White 2024 Pro-4X Titan, coming from a 2018 Tacoma. It felt like getting into a school bus. Love the engine and love the space it provides my family. Also an awesome review!
Thanks! I bet that coming from a smaller truck, driving the Titan is like driving a Tank. Ha. I love sitting up and looking down at other drivers. Lol. My family of 4 + a dog loves going on road trips in the truck. It definitely has space for everyone. I hope your Titan treats you well.
I just bought the same truck. Love it so far. Bought a Truxcedo Pro15x soft rolling cover. Easy to install, but have water inside on my 1st rain…UGH, having to take a look at install, but not happy about 600 and water. I have had the Access Laredo soft cover on a truck in the past and LOVED it, i may should have gone that route.
Im glad you're enjoying your Titan. I hope it holds up for the long haul. Im 3 years in and still love driving my truck. I went with the hard bed cover. It does the job, and Im happy with it. FB marketplace will have sporadic deals on bed covers if you haven't checked on there. Thanks for the comment!
I got a 2021 titan s crew cab in dec only 18k miles on it basically new.. had no clue about trim levels or anything else... my advice if your getting a titan go for the XD seems all the parts/aftermarket stuff was made for the XD .. getting parts/aftermarket for S model is pretty dang hard. On the positive side as the OP video poster mentions since I have a basic S model I get the most towing capacity and longer vehicle life span as there are less electronics to fail less bulbs to change etc.. .overall will get more life from the vehicle as less moving parts in general. My choices was this 2021 titan s which I got that had 18k miles on it or a 2017 XD with like 45k miles on it.. had I known anything about trim levels I would have taken the 2017 XD with 45k on it...not knowing anything about trim levels at the time I took the one with 18k miles on it that was leased to 1 person for a year. At the end of the day .. I still got a very nice truck with 18k miles on it though.. so ... : ) I love driving my truck it just feels nice.. I also got offered to fix my product recall notice.. I declined them at the time.. its the airbag recall.. I would rather them leave a working truck alone and working.. I have heard some stories about dealerships messing up people's vechiles when they do free work because if nothing else they simply have poorer work habits as they don't care since its free. You having steering issues after your recall work just says to me I def should make sure the dealership that does it is known to only do quality work. If there are any cons it would be parts for basic models is very limited.
All that matters is that you love driving your truck. I agree with your points, especially getting the XD. If I could do it all over again, I would get the XD. But I'm sticking with my Titan for the long haul since I have my non-XD. Regarding your point about the S being simple, Titan overall is as simple as it comes compared to other truck brands. With that, we will outlast the competition. I hope your Titan treats you well. Thanks for the comment.
Great review. I'm looking at the same color truck and was curious if the air conditioning is able to cool the truck properly. I'm in North Carolina and it gets hot here. Thanks
Thanks!! The AC works great in hot weather. I've had my truck in Texas heat and now living in South Carolinas hot n humid summers, no issues. The only time it will take to cool is when my moonroof shade is open and it's letting in all the sun rays in. Other than that AC is 👌🏾. I hope you find a good deal on a Titan! You gotta let me know if/when you buy one. I appreciate your comment.
