NOOOOO 😭😭 the threading to the cap that lets the blade pop out is chewed up..and the blade is misfiring… I tried some tricks I saw on the internet but none have worked.. I’m considering taking it apart to fix it.
Excellent video with exceedingly clear commentary and a few unusual but extremely helpful tips: use of a toothpick and folded piece of paper to deliver the tiniest screws to their respective positions during battery support reinstall. This for me was the hardest step. Most definitely use a white towel under your work as others have commented! I dropped the first screw at least 3 or 4 times while holding it with a carbon tweezers. It would fall onto the towel silently, and there would be a teeny black speck somewhere on the towel that lo and behold would be the screw. I decided to use the folded paper technique and voila! Since the screws have exceedingly short stems and wide heads they are top heavy but using the toothpick and folded paper in concert to coax a screw in position the stem will fall into its hole. Once there, I used the folded paper to stabilize screw while using toothpick as a mini screw driver to help screw engage it’s threads initially before switching to a mini screwdriver. Got it all back together following directions exactly as you described. Watch works like a charm again with a renewed 1 month of reserve capacity (as indicated by a 20” sweep of second hand upon button press). I’ve learned the hard way that it’s very important to keep the kinetic watch battery charged by wearing or at least shaking it daily. Kudos again on your superb video.
Has anyone else experienced the fact that the red dot IS NOT a dot. Mine looks like a cluster of dots, not a single dot. I had high hopes for this scope, but it sucks!!
@@RoyDudzic it is possible that you're seeing the reticle fuzzy because of an astigmatism. You can confirm that by taking a picture of the reticle with your phone camera. Make sure you focus on the reticle if possible and you can compare the picture versus what you're seeing. If there is a difference then you'll know that it's your eyes that's causing the reticle to get fuzzy. If you do have an astigmatism, it doesn't mean you can't use the optic in fact you can still use it very effectively.
If it’s fuzzy or not a perfect dot, you likely have an astigmatism. I had this issue but with a green dot. When I looked through the green dot it looked like a mis-shaped pentagon and bright corners.

Hey, thanks for the guide! I recently purchased a Vostok Amphibia model Amphibia 120813 with no date complication but somehow managed to hack it with your guide. It does take some tries to get it right but it does work even though mine does not have a date complication. When I do want the seconds hand to move again however, I do have to shake the watch because releasing the crown does nothing. Since I have only got this watch recently however, I can't tell exactly how fast or slow it is going, some days it is +30 seconds and others it is -10 seconds but this is such a cool tip! The more I wear and learn about the Vostok watch, the more I like it, maybe I will get another Vostok next year haha!

with the milgauss fake you can instantly see the green glas is not like the original. it barely plays a role in the color game with the dial. and this is exactly what its the best in my opinion about the original watch. Other than that, the fake looks solid.
Hi, thanks for the video. I have a question. While taking off the bezel on my new Komandirskie, the acrylic crystal also popped out and I didn't notice a rubber washer under it. So, I popped it back in. My question is how does the watch stay watertight without a washer? (like the washer in the back). Thank you in advance for your feedback.

My father brought one back from the war. He was a paratrooper in the 11th Airborne Div. He 'found' it in Manilla. It has the leather index finger grip, but the bluing is not nearly as pristine. The blade remains perfect.
It is a best practice to use gloves or ruber on fingers to avoid finger prints / grease dirt on the watch surfaces. Also use rodico to lift such a delicate components.
I guess I won't be getting one I refuse to pay over 5 hundred dollars for a inaccurate watch I didn't pay that much money for my paid 21 turtle and my anartica Munster
Thank you. The bezel on my Loreo is off by 2 seconds and I can't stand it. Great to see this as I'm looking for any excuse to work on my watches without ruining them. This fix looks easy enough. I have heard you could also just pour hot water on the bezel insert without removing the bezel to soften the glue and move the insert to where you need it. I'm not sure about that method though.
I have an older Amphibia- manual, no date, which i bought 2nd hand. Same looking case as yours. Its been a good, reliable watch but of late something seems to have gone awry with the Crown. You screw it out to wind it and it feels extra loose. You go to wind it and the setting has gone to time adjust and its hard to find the wind setting. Its like its only barely engaging the winder when you do get the watch to wind. The watch seems to run normally once you get the usual 16 or so good winds in. Is the Crown stem worn out or something else not right? If its the Stem, where can i get a replacement?
