If you've watched any part of my channel you'll know I have a ton of off-road miles. It's constantly blowing air out so I'd be impressed if it failed due to dirt in the seat
The saga as we know it...Battery totally dead. Called tow, as my attempts to jump did not work, trickle charge didn't do it. Tow truck got here, jumped and it started. 2 minutes later, went to move out of the driveway, dead again. Jump from tow would not remedy. Towed it to dealer. They had no answer, replaced battery under warranty and did well until this past Monday. Interview for job, go to get into truck and battery dead. Last time this issue arose dealer replaced battery. Been about 14 months since the first time. Put trickle charger on it, tried 2 hours later and it started just fine. Decided to put charger on overnight to give full battery power and it registered ok. Now Wednesday and time for doctor appointment, dead again. Was fully charged yesterday.... Again trickle charger for 15 minutes, and it started. This does not seem consistent enough for water short, though we did have rain/humidity. Will try to finish trickle with ne pole disconnected and see if that helps. Either module or the data update issue seems more in line as nothing is being left on to run down battery. Will drop in after a bit and advise progress, but sounds a little too common for vehicle-'22 Canyon- with less than 20k miles on it. Never had this issue in my '19 Colorado I turned in for the Canyon...
Yeah man it's frustrating. I hope that this is not the norm for these trucks going forward. Do not charge the battery with the truck connected next time. It is my understanding that the modules do not like to turn on at their base voltage so you need to charge the battery all the way and then reconnect the truck so that all of the modules see full voltage the second they turn on.
What about hitting a bump and unloading the suspension at speed. Then it's an issue. This truck will be driven to most trails so I cannot only consider on trail function.
Your friend can add several useful and practical items to the mole panels in the truck bed. Here are some ideas: 1. **Fire Extinguisher** - A compact fire extinguisher for emergencies. 2. **Tool Kit** - Mount a small tool roll or kit for essential tools. 3. **Recovery Gear** - Items like tow straps, D-rings, or a small winch kit. 4. **Flashlight** - Secure a durable, high-lumen flashlight for nighttime situations. 5. **Water Container** - A small, mountable water container for emergencies or cleaning. 6. **Axe or Hatchet** - Useful for outdoor or camping trips. 7. **Utility Knife** - A heavy-duty utility knife or multi-tool. 8. **Storage Bags or Pouches** - Additional pouches for smaller items like gloves, zip ties, or other tools. 9. **Jump Starter or Battery Pack** - A compact jump starter for dead batteries. These additions will enhance the truck’s functionality for both everyday use and outdoor adventures. For a business focused on making custom parts and add-ons for GMC Canyons and H3s, your friend could mount tools and supplies that would assist in demonstrating his capabilities or for use during installations or shows. Here are some suggestions: 1. **Mobile Workstation** - A fold-out table or surface that can serve as a portable workbench for on-site installations or modifications. 2. **Battery-Powered Drill and Driver Set** - A mounted set of power tools specifically for working on vehicle modifications, easily accessible for quick jobs. 3. **Parts Organizer** - A multi-compartment storage box for nuts, bolts, screws, and custom parts he’s created for clients. 4. **Template and Measurement Tools** - Mount a ruler, caliper, or template board for measuring and marking areas on the vehicles for custom parts fitting. 5. **Custom Product Samples** - Display mounted samples of custom parts and accessories (e.g., brackets, mounts, lighting solutions) that he has designed and fabricated for GMC Canyons and H3s. 6. **3D-Printed Prototypes** - Showcase small mounted 3D-printed parts to demonstrate what can be fabricated. 7. **Marketing Materials** - Brochure holders or business card holders mounted to the walls for potential clients or interested parties to grab at shows or events. 8. **LED Work Light** - A mounted, bright LED light for illuminating the workspace or showcasing parts during demonstrations. 9. **GoPro or Camera Mount** - To record installation videos or product demos for social media marketing. 10. **Vinyl or Decal Tools** - If part of his business includes custom vehicle wraps, having a vinyl tool kit mounted would be helpful. These additions would not only increase efficiency for his custom parts business but also act as a showcase for his craftsmanship and the tools he uses in his work.
The error you and many others have made is that is the bleeding process and not anything to do with doing before use. If you can articulate where in the instructions that it is stated to do prior to use I will make another video personally thanking you for that information.
Yes both! Just came from the dealership, and at 30k miles they tell me that a new service bulletin came out saying they recommend an intake service to clean the crap out of the intake and combustion chambers, if gm designed such a great oil separation system, then why are they telling me to pay $300 dollars for this service. ANSWER is they are full of crap and I have oil being blown back into the intake, therefore this engine is building carbon in the combustion chambers!!! Please hit me up and let me know how to get the setup you have!!! ASAP!
Most often the vehicle is assembled this way. They all have a bit of tolerance so it all goes together smoothly. Unfortunately they seem to a bit too far off once you start looking at it a bit closer.
I have a 23 Canyon. Solar Flare Metallic. Had bed liner, step bars, and roll back tonnou cover. My only complaint is that the phone doesn’t always sync. The first few days I had it dead. Twice. Seems like it was stalling out during a on air download. We have 30k miles on it.
Do you have a video of the whole process or just the short? How difficult was it to pull that mount out without the whole box coming out? Thanks for the video!
I have a video on the bov spacer. The under hood light was literally a 5min install and by no means difficult. Just run the power to the battery and it grounds out through itself where it mounts.
That too is pretty simply. I complicated it by using that blue switch but there's already a pigtail under the bed you just tap into. Add a switch in-line and mount the lights and run the loom.
