For a Accord V6 2004, that torx screw has a center notch stand out so a typical torx screw driver will not able to fit in. I found out the hard way after I spent half an hour trying to find a driver that fit until I took a photo and zoom in to notice it. So your torx screw driver has to have a dimple in the center to fit. Why made it so hard? After that all I need to do is straighten the lever of the switch, blew craps out and cleaned it with carb cleaner and then dappled them with w40 oil to prevent sticking lever. Since I have a scanner I used that to reset the error code. If it weren't for the special torx screw they used, this would be a 30 minutes job to fix both front seat belt buckles.
Is the 2008 Lancer ES at the same spot, maybe narrower space to work from? I gotta find in Toronto a Japanese freelance mechanic (self employed). Its a fun ride, but Toronto traffic and road bumps and holes is very bad these days,
When the brake pin is Popping out when Greased and put back in, use a Needle to Lift the Pin Rubber boot a little and push Pin back in this will release some air and your brakes will be smooth again 😊
My crappy scan tool only reads engine codes, tried to jump pin 4 and 9 for it to read out the codes with blinks for abs, and all it does is flash the check engine light 12 long and 6 short flashes over and over again. Contemplating buying a nicer scanner so I can actually read the abs codes
The easier way is to pour some gas and oil on top of the battery, connect the negative and pisitive terminals together and leave it, come back an hour or 2 later problem with will be gone
Hope no one dies from a broken steering column. Later. 1)the bolts are tightened to a high strain level and reusing them means they are subject to early fatigue failure. 2) Drilling into the steering shaft creates a stress riser subjecting it to early fatigue failure. 3) Loctite is for long term holding. OK at the time of install does not mean it will last over time. How did you even determine it was "ok"? Steering columns are a safety critical component. Please don't take shortcuts.
Salut mon chum! Will it work if you have the check engine light illuminated? I was able to do step one for the ABS but when i try to do step 2, when I press the VSA button, my check engine light starts flashing and nothing happens to the /!\ or VSA
Man, on my Toyota, the process is so much less steps and counting. So dumb, Nissan.. But, great video to assist through these dumb steps that Nissan thought should be necessary.
Worked. Ffs!! Ive been reading all kinds of stuff online for hours! Nice job. Good work. Of course cant blame all the other sources online which focus on using the foxwell scanner -- most of us who have an Acura or Honda SHOULD purchase the scanner anyway, we will surely need it for these cars.
Don't understand why they would make an allen nut for the end link. Never ran into an issue where it's helpful. 99.99 % of the time we are cutting that stupid thing off because of rust
@@cwalk316 I found it, mine was underneat the car, over where the passenger set is, it was screwed from the chasi to the manual transmision of my car. It was in really bad shape, replacing it fixed my car
My steering is hard to trun and my red ligth is on and it says ..steering defective do not drive vehicles what is the problem what needs to be replaced and fix
Worked first try on 2007 Honda ridgeline! Vsa light and triangle light came on after replacing the rack and pinion. 3 different auto mechanics looked at it and still on. I fixed it in 5min after watching this video. 🎉
Worked perfectly on my stepson's 2009 Rogue. Unlike the other videos that didn't work, your last step on holding down the accelerator again, made the difference. Thanks man.
