What are your recommendations on getting good at art and animation. I recently started learning Godot a couple of months ago and I have always found it hard to make good art and animations so often I have a game that doesn’t look as polished as I want because art doesn’t look that good and doesn’t fit in. Any suggestions help thanks.
gun idea (name : lady's lucker) a Russian roulette like gun that have a 1in6 chance to actually fire but every time it doesn't fire it increase the odds of it firing and damage but goes away if fire and you have to reload
Since you mentioned having to possibly remove the reload on the Fish... how about, instead, make it a manageable melee? Give it a hidden HP bar of some sorts - the higher its HP, the more damage it does, until it reaches zero, dealing the least amount of damage until the player reloads it. I could imagine for a visual cue, breaking the Fish's spine when its HP reaches zero, and that kind of solves the "how do you reload a fish?" question, just put the spine back in place.
Started with godot only made simple 8 directional movement with animation and never heard of heartbeat but now bcs of you I have access to the best godot tutorials channell PS Keep up making in 2 weeks i will make first game in pirate software game jam only bcs you inspiried me to take gamejams and not only do other projects
Hey man, i love your work. I'm also working on small projects on Godot, but i wanted to ask, what software are you using for making pixel art / animation? I'm kind of new to this channel so i don't know if you arleady said that in a previous video.
Call me crazy or terminally online but the spirit projectile looks more like... male gametes, to put it in a way. Perhaps making the trail less thin and wavy like that and perhaps more like steam or something else could help.
All i needed to hear to subscribe to your patreaon was Lighting tutorial. After an art overhaul for my game, lighting is one of the last things ill need to bring it together.
Hey loved the game and think it was great for how little time you spent on it. I'm new to all this and was wandering if you could elaborate on how the bucket works to alert the enemy I'm looking to make a stealth game myself and this is the best example of what I'm looking for if you have the time.
How long did it take you to become a good artist? I'm a good programmer but I have zero artistic sense and no talent in this field at all which makes me sad because my favorite field in computer science is game dev
I have been in the game development space as indie for 12 years now. I have only released 2 projects in Unity in all these years and the problem for me is always the motivation and art. So, I wanted to ask how you keep yourself motivated, and, do you mind maybe creating tutorials for pixel art? I personally love pixel art but I just can't get it to look good because of the lighting and stuff, just can't make it click for me. But I freaking love your art, like wish I could work with you or even make such awesome art myself, so, wanted to ask if you could do tutorials on pixel art?
