Yeah, I have a similar robot. Made by Joy-It (SIMAC Electronics GmbH). Got servos rated at 21Kg/cm, servo shield from Adafruit, nuts and bolts.. The servos in mine are with metal gears, no end stops. I had the same issue as you had with the servos, but I managed in the end to figure out to make it "smooth". The movement is rather fast for it, compared to other robots.

oof... polar coordinates would be much easier bud replace all the vectors with r*e^(j@) this removes all the quadratics. where r is the vector length j is the root neg 1 and @ is the angle. for a simple 4 bar linkage [ r1e^(j@1) + r2e^(j@2) + r3e(j@3) = r4e^(j@4) ] much simpler....source: mechanical engineer

I am not good with mathematics. I am good with robots! I built a humanoid robot with 3 dof and need to move the hand to an x,y,z location. I assume I need IK formulas. Would the formula's be the same for any arm? Could I put this into a spreadsheet and figure out everything? I follow some of your lecture, but you lost me somewhere. Do you have a parts list for building this? Which altimeter, arduino and data logger did you use? I want to log the altitude of my rocket but I like to home brew where possible. Also, would it be possible to add a camera to the setup? I've got a few arduino with cameras.
Scott great video. I agree with everything except I have learned that if you need test equipment you should do one of two things. If money is a factor always buy the best you can afford. Or if money is not an issue then alway buy one level better oscilloscope then you need. If you continue to do enough electronics then you will find a use of the extra parameters of your scope. Just a personal thought from all of the electronic reviews I have seen.
Note - you have to convert the SD card from exFAT to FAT32 or FAT16 if it's a larged miniSD card. Mine is 128 GB, so I had to convert it from another site to FAT32 and then it started working.
