I watched One Piece about.. 7 times? Guys, I can assure you, once you are in, then you can’t stop. Whoever is about to start watching it is lucky, I would love to go on the same adventure again without knowing anything. Tears..
the 3-point narrative or also called aristotelian is a western prerogative in story writing while in asia this thing is used little, in fact most of miyazaki's films are not aristotelian
Can I skip the first 50 episodes? I’ve seen the live action, but I can’t stomach that old animation and look of the early seasons. Until I can comfortably skip that, I ain’t touching one piece 😂
Had the blessing to have grown up in the perfect time to experience this. Been fortunate to have watched this since I was 5/6 years old. Hard to believe it’s been 20 years
Started playing a one piece mobile game last summer and I enjoyed it so I decide to start watching the anime. Now on episode 230, I hope I can catch up in time, but if not I will just pray for no spoilers
Yes! You truly understand one piece. I watched all over again last year and I will wait for my son to grow old enough so we can enjoy it again. Its probably the best anime ever made.
Just my two cents: The oscars are decided by a small group of people. And if it was voted upon by everyone, the award would just go to "who sold the most tickets". I think the academy has lost respect and dedication over the years and will likely fade behind a closed curtain in the next few decades. I don't know how movies should be "awarded" in the future, but Boy and the Heron will likely outlast the test of time compared to majority of the oscar nominations.
Having recently watched the boy and the heron i still fully believe ATSV was far and away a better MOVIE, TBATH was more ART. Unfortunately art wins almost everytime in award season.
i started in 2020 and ended 2023, when my brother (a fan of one piece like me) said me the anime is entering the last saga i started to watch 20 episodes per day, my record was 40 episodes in one day xD
Awesome video man, this is one of my favourite movies of all time as well lol Heading to first year uni next year and although I've already got some semblance of what I wanna do, your video's a great reminder to choose something I believe in and enjoy :))
I remember learning a while back that one of Miazaki's most important influences was "The king and the Mockingbird", an old surrealistic animated french classic. This movie is the first time that I really felt that influence in Miazaki's work, no other film had reminded me of this old classic so much.
I just can't stand Japanese war movies, they always show them as victims and throw whatever they do in China/coherence on the carpet, making deformed people think they suffer a lot and make the majority victims of WW2 while movies without endings are complete shit in short, I hated them both, I wasted my precious time watching this rubbish that people call "art" I was better off watching my Brazilian and European animation films than this mainstream shit
I don't know about you, but I HATED my two favorite movies, the best animation, I thought they were both boring and sleeping in the middle of the cinema was so boring that these "pretty" movies that people watch weren't my cup of tea, it really wasn't mine type of animation
Bro you're clearly really talented with presentation and rhetoric. Handling a delicate and subtle topic like this... I don't have the words to describe what you did right but I'm genuinely impressed. I'm subscribing looking forward to more.
Hello, loved the video, the boy and the heron is one if not my favorite movie of all time, I'm happy to see people who don't criticize it or say it's just weird. I can relate with the moment you explain how you felt when first watching it, it was the exact same for me, I couldn't of anything else after watching it and I had to watch it again, but now nearly half a year later and I just can't find it anywhere online, even though i want to re watch it so bad. Also I really enjoyed the music you used at 1:08, do you have the name or a link of the song ? I'd really apreciate it ❤
have been watching one piece since i was a child, watched all the 4kids episodes on tv as a kid (only first 64 episodes or so) then keep finding my way back to it keeping a bookmark of which episode im up to (currently 842 in whole cake) :P ive never started again, never looked at spoilers never got into big fandoms about it, i just know its there for me as i want more, ill watch anywhere from 50-200 episodes at a time maybe once a year or once every 2 years and be content and happy ;P and for the animation style i believe it comes down to personal preference and when someone started watching anime/how new the first anime they watched was.... anyone starting with netflix animes isnt going to appreciate the old drawn style that is almost exact with the mangas, though people who started with stuff from studios like studio ghibli will really really appreciate the style
Is the manga being discontinued? It isn’t. Is the anime going to be taken down? Oh it isn’t. Then yes me and many people in the future will be able to watch one piece. What is this video?
